The way the car was hyped I was expecting it to be some super monster, used my hard earned money to buy and it was a disappointment. To me, I don't care about its booring interior. But D car was almost stolen twice!!!. Park it far away, always something missing when you come back.

By D way, I still have the car, but can only drive it inside town and always pack it close to my ass.

I remember back in 2013 when a Tokunbo Corolla, Honda Accord, Camry and Benz c240 2003 models were going for roughly the same average price of #1.5million.

Now the Corolla has left it's peers behind and I'm seeing a Tokunbo 03 Corolla going for almost 2million, while the others have remained in the same price range, or even less.

Now a naija used '03 Corolla is even going for #1.5million.

Even an '03 naija used Camry is around 800-900k, but naija used Corolla is almost double the price.

Most annoying tin to me is it's the most boring car ever! I might even sleep off while driving the car sef...

My matrix 03 had an accident few weeks ago, we've fixed everything, the only issue now is the gear. Car doesn't start when on pack, starts on neutral. If you put the gear in D instead of drive it'll stay at neutral, 2 is drive while N is revise.

My mechanic seems confused. Please help

Update....

I took the car for a drive along the highway. When I go to a place without vehicles ahead, I stopped and started to count the gear transitions, at over 100m/h closer to 120m/h, the gear switched to the fifth gear. Surprisingly, the push thing vanished after I slowed down again. I drove around town a bit, and the system worked normal (like before it got spoilt).

I appreciate you guys, especially Gazzuzz who is always willing to share his expertise for free. His advice guided me and was very very useful.

From a lay man's perspective, I believe the gear system normalised after achieving the fifth gear which it hadn't connected with all the while.

Anyways, I'll still observe closely to see if it remains stable.

No nose masks no social distancing. I guess everyone has come to the conclusion that covid was made to look more deadly than it actually is cause we know that even tuberculosis spreads the same way and has killed more people but we have never worn masks or done social distancing for it .

I finally drove the car last night after the gearbox was replaced. The error symbol on the dashboard which appeared when the problem started last week Thursday has disappeared, even before the engine was turned on.

The only difference I noticed was that the transitioning of gear is very noticeable. When it changes from one to the other gear, any observant person can feel it, although there is no thumping or jerking, just a push accompanied with an increased rev. I was told by my friends that this was normal and the engine will correct itself gradually.

I hope they are right.

Please, which engine oil weight is best suited for a foreign used Toyota Camry 2007 (4 cylinder) with a mileage of 209k miles?

Today, i opened my hood to check my fluid levels as I'll be traveling tomorrow. Suddenly the coolant is gone, nothing in the reservoir. I opened radiator cap, nothing. Car hasn't been driven since Monday and before now I always have coolant level at max in the plastic reservoir. Car has no history of overheating, the temp gauge has never gone up past the middle. The fan settings or cooling system is factory setting. What could be the culprit pls? Since the time I saw it at max to now that it's zero, the car has never been in motion for more than 20 mins. K don't drive the car extensively

Just to update you guys. I finally got a tokumbo 13pin gear box from Onitsha. I went with a Mechanic was quite confident he can fix it....
Right now the car is being reassembled, but its still a long way to go. I'm praying it works, cause I've spent a lot...

I just scanned my Camry 09 and it came up with P0606 and P0138 DTCs. Can the P0138 sensor issue make MIL come on and off intermittently? Or could go of good about 4 days, stay on for 2 weeks.

Also, how do I resolve the P0606 without changing the brain box?
