Hello Gazzuz,

Im a newbie here, actually i have been following your threads for a while now and its easy to tell how credible and reliable you are, please i need your honest opinion on a choice i am about to make on buying my first car, i reside in PH and i am trying to get a car, i have two options in mind, 1) a honda civic 07, 2) a corrolla 03-05, the reason for the later is basically cz of its resale value if uncertainties occur, i like Hondas and i have done alot of YouTube research on both cars mainly for their maintenance processes,
This is going to be my first car ever and i plan on getting it soon as a birthday gift, and im also looking at a well maintained Nigerian used of any of the two cars mentioned earlier, please i need your take on this, if possible can i send you a message or have your number? I would honestly appreciate your guidance please.. thank you in anticipation

My wife stopped to help anithet lady to jump start her car on Third Mainland bridge on Monday night.

They disconnected her battery from her Sienna and used it to start the lady's ford focus. On returning the battery, they placed it wrongly before suddenly realizing their mistake. Fortunately, they hadn't ignited the car before correcting the polarity.

However the few sparks the batter emitted is enough to show that some damage had been done. The car has refused to fire/accelerate well. It starts alright, moves very reluctantly but with a cacophony of noises.

My Kazeems have tried to check the plugs and cleaned the injector but this doesn't seem to work.

I need advice on how this can be corrected.
Gurus in the house I count on your support by way of prescription or recommendations.

I bet to disagree sir terming 50k miles as high mileage..

Far from it, 50k miles for many internal combustion engines is when the internal engine parts are considered to seat and set properly, initial frictions of newness would be no more...

At least for a well maintained and routinely serviced vehicles, mileage should be twice that to be rated high!

I need suggestions from persons who have similar experience before. I use a Toyota Camry drop light. Lately the car engine stops when I slow down while driving. I have also taken it to different mechanic s but non have been able to fix it. Please if u have experienced this before, what was the cause of it and how did you handle it.

I bought a toks Camry 09 Sep-19... good car and drives great. Doing the servicing about 2 weeks later then, my Kazeem observed the oil is quite watery (now, I think the US owner uses 0W20/5W20 as recommended on the car) and advised I use Mobil XHP which had been in use till now.

1. Can I revert to the recommended oil?
2. What are various implications of Mobil XHP continuity?
3. 0W20/5W20 which one? Brand? and cost

Liqui moly 5w20 was recommended. I dont know when or if to make the switch. Since i just serviced few weeks back
