trevor26: Hello Gazzuz. Please I want to service my 2006 rav4 for the first time. Which oil would you recommend? 5w30 or 20w50. No service history available.. Car is tokunbo
dgitrader: Good people of the house, kindly bail me out! It's a 09 accord i4, 2.5l which I just changed all engine mounts to original Belgium. Yet the engine vibrations persist. When ever at stops, or when I just engage the drive or reverse gears and the car is at idle, the vibrations come up, with or without AC, same vibes. But when in Park or Neutral, the cabin is sound and calm as factory setting. No CEL or codes. It's embarrassing. Several mechanics told me it's engine seatings before now. Only one of the old seatings was apparently bad, yet I changed all to avoid future stories , but the vibes continue. Pls help a brother out.

Zane2point4: Chief GAZZUZZ,thanks for this great thread.
I serviced my 2007 toyota camry(2AZ FE) arnd december ,and the engine needed a top of arnd January ending,i was surprised, opend my hood and observed and saw i had oil stains around the top gasket area? How do i go about this, the car doesnt give any wahala prior to this,i dont want any kazeem to give my engine high fever in exchange with solving this issue.
Replace valve cover gasket, those things last 3-4 years.
Strut was damaged, instead of replacing , they reduced the diameter of the top bolt holding the strut , to create counter adjustment that would keep the wheel at approximately 90 deg .
eamodu: Oga Gazzuzz, pls I need your advice. Just got a Nigerian used Honda DC. The engine is in top form, no check engine light. But previous owner as been using total 5000 for the engine. What should I do? Continue or switch to recommend oil.
Continue it will be fine. Drain Oil every 3k miles
RichDad1: Hello Gazzuzz, Please what’s your option about this ; 2012/13 Toyota Camry and 2013/14 Honda Accord. I like the physical appearance of the Honda but my major reservations is about the durability considering I’ll be using it in an area that is slightly bad. Also does it get affected by the flood issues? As for the Camry, aside the interior that’s a bit lesser to the accord (imo) the ground clearance is another thing I’m concerned about. Can it be slightly raised without affecting the balance and general outlook? What are the major issue with this car? N:B I’m probably getting both as Naija used. I look forward to your recommendations thanks.
let's compare mid size SUV'S, leave sedans alone. Say Rav4 and CRV?
whats your take on lexus es300.i drove a friends own and loved the feeling behind the wheels.. does it have any major ed flag to look out for?thinking of getting one.
alphamodel1: Hello Gazzuzz, I have a 2009 Toyota Venza with VVTI engine 4 cylinder, on very cold start there is a minor rattling sound that comes for some seconds and goes off. Doesn’t happen again when u start the engine. I try reading up and was told the engine drains to the bottom of the plate. Is there a solution to this? Pls advice. Mfon from uyo .
ssppen: Gazzuzz,i want to appreciate you in public for being a man of honor and treating me exceptionally well. I have had several transactions with you from far away Ilorin but have just met you in Lagos today, and only partly because you had to help me out. Thank you sir and may God bless...
confusedworld17: Some riders are desperately wicked and selfish. So this rider without my knowledge hid WEED inside my car because he knew that we were going to pass through police check point.
After like 20 minutes wey I don drop him and his girlfriend, na so the guy call me say him forget weed wey him hide inside my car say make I come back say him go pay me. I abuse am wella before I cut the call.
I couldn't even find anything after I pulled over and did a quick search because it was about some minutes past 12 am.
So if to say yawa gas now, na for my head the thing go land due to say na inside my car dem see the weed abi ?
Another thing now be say I don search everywhere inside my car... still cant find the shit. Is it that the weed is not in my car or it was well hidden that only him can locate where he hid it ?
One more thing guys... we've been invaded in this thread. so many spies dey here now.
I guess it is best one or more of you volunteer to pass through a VIO check point to see if the story is true or not.
azpekuliar: I was just about to ask you to approach the motorcyle e-hailing companies like Gokada and Max who would most likely be liquidating a good portion of their motorcyle inventory.
I mailed them, seems they still have hope , they are not selling .
Since the car in in Nigeria, Please go physically to check it yourself(and go with somebody who is knowledgeable in Pre-Purchase Inspection. But TRUST NO ONE. Some Nigerians are too dishonest abeg).
Arm yourself with knowledge bro. Read about what to expect, buying such a used vehicle. It is accidented. The mileage is high. So Do not expect a problem free car.
If something is not right, please walk away. This Camry is everywhere. If you dont buy it today, tomorrow is still there for you. The key is patience.
Readonee35L: Based On the Statement *Customer is always right* Some customers will almost ruin your life with their Bad Understanding / Evil mind.
The op knows what he is doing because the money paid wasn't even for the vehicle. The man did his job and if one is to be honest you owe him his balance .
If you defend the Person they paid the 20k, you'd be labelled as a thief. If you defend the op you'd be labelled as being unjust . But either way, who expects a refund for a service as this which has already been executed . no one collects a refund from a lawyer even if the case is lost. It's left for you to do your home work before paying for their services .
May we not be called out in public because of 20k.
One of the most prudent things you should do for yourself in Nigeria today is keeping out of trouble. One of the worst things that can happen to a person is to be sent to jail in Nigeria.
Jail in Nigeria is halfway house to hell. Maryam Sanda will probably never be executed, most Governor's do not sign the death warrant anymore. Orji Kalu Uzor will probably never serve full-time.
But still Nigerian prisons are like Nazi concentration camps. The food is calamitous, healthcare is none existent.
I have seen a prisoner holding his eye ball in his hand, it was still attached to his eye socket by a tendril. Someone used a spoon to scoop out his eye ball in a fight. The nurse was off duty. Nobody cared, he died.
I had a client once who was remanded in prison. He was HIV positive and did not tell me. Maybe that would have been further grounds for bail. He could not take his drugs and he relapsed. Before I could try to get him out it was too late, he died.
The food given to prisoners is not fit for human consumption, even animals should not be made to eat such rubbish. Meanwhile, huge sums of money has been budgeted for feeding prisoners.
Avoid trouble, infact, flee from trouble. Anything that will involve police charging you to court is trouble. If you can kill a matter in the police station, by all means do it. Stop shouting,
"I know my right!"
This is Nigeria. Your right and left can change anytime.
Police will definitely ask for big money, if you have it and you suspect your case is not very solid kill the matter there. Even if you think you have a good case, this is Nigeria.
If your lawyer is shouting,
"we will meet in court!" in Police station tell him to calm down.
It is your case, not his. The use of "we," is merely figurative. He will not stand in the accused box with you.
Remember, it is not what you know that matters in court, it is what you can prove. Besides, this is Nigeria. Ihedioha can testify.
I was attacked once by a pedestrian in Lagos. The car I was inside brushed him slightly. I was not the one driving. I just told him to be more careful.
That is how the guy attacked me. He threw 4 punches, I blocked two and dodged two.
I had the opportunity to counter punch but I did not. I am not Anthony Joshua. A police man eventually stopped him. I quickly removed myself from the scene.
I was happy enough I was not going home with a broken jaw, neither was I being charged for assault. Sometimes it is better to let some things go.
I do not mean that you should turn to everyone's foot mat, but if you are going to take up an issue, ensure you are blameless, or almost blameless.
Avoid wahala. If people are beating up a thief do not join, or even stand and watch, even if it is your property that was stolen.
If someone hits your car don't start fighting because of that.
Do not lend people money. It hardly ends well.
Do not surety people you don't absolutely trust.
Avoid too much night movement, partying and clubbing should be with wisdom and decency.
Avoid people who cannot control their alcohol, they always start brawls.
Realize that a bad situation can always get worse, or better, depending on how you handle it.
Avoid people who talk too much.
Be wary with your speech. Do not talk about people behind their backs.
Always assume that someone is recording your speech and videoing your actions.
Even if someone comes with negative gossip about another person, do not say anything. If you talk, it is what you said that will somehow find its way to the person's ear.
Stop saying things like,
" Do you know who I am?"
"I no dey fear anybody!"
"My yes is my yes and my no is my no!"
Finally, remember to keep your anger and ego in check, the world does not revolve around you, it revolves around the sun .

@gazzuzz,@nurey, @AutoJoshNG,@dru23,@radautoworks
Thanks
pics of the car will be helpful.
You should inspect for rust since origin is Canadian.
Finally 237439 miles is a lot for a recent car.
One of the reasons we get salvaged accidented cars is because of low mileage.
