I wish to use both for uber, defo, I cant drive the cars. I wish to give it out to drivers. What do u guys think ? Is the biz profitable? Even though I will handle the repairs n some other tins. Can one still get good ppl to handle cars ?

Well that's how far we had coupled the components back together. Someone stole our seals and the mechanic ran away with some hoses so we couldn't complete it. I am still waiting to test the engine to know if have done well . It had really weird sounds since it has gotten out of timing. Hopefully after this, it goes back to normal. Most important lesson learnt so far if you are gonna tinker with the use of service manuals, then get a Mercedes. The WIS is the best I have seen so far. Explain's everything to detail. With the jeep manuals we had a lot of backtracking.

Good day Nairalanders,

I have had an issue with my charging system before it worsened to a bad extent which i had no choice but to replace my alternator just after I changed my compressor and condenser. I have changed 3 alternators but the same issue persists. I placed the highest alternator amp which is 150V but still the same thing. The car charges fine when in motion but stops charging the battery when its idle. It starts draining the battery fast. Pls advice. Is it a bad wiring or the alternator is defective? HELP!!!!

If you're a driver why are you looking for a driver with Uber account?

You haven't tried or tested any platform you are here writing long comprehension complaining about Uber.

If you don't want Uber 25% don't use their platform. You have other doing 0%.

You need to LEARN before you EARN.

rides are cheaper on uber there are more checks and balances on uber, if driver likes, drive to maiduguri and end trip, just write to support and your money will be refunded cash or card.

a driver wakes up 5am. Goes to work for uber and closes by 11pm, reaches home 12am tp sleep and wake up 5am again.

He makes 10k everyday on uber

Uber takes 2500 and leaves him with 7500

He will pay Car owner
He will buy data
He will buy recharge card
He will buy fuel
He will save to buy oil and service car
He will save to renew insurance
He will save to renew car papers
He will save to fix car emergency problems

But Uber on the other hand will collect 2500 from other 1000 drivers in lagos in the name of commission. 2500 multiply by 1000 is equal to 2.5m.

So uber makes more than N2.5m everyday from services rendered by drivers and treats them as shit.

All uber does is pay govt tax, pay few staff and pay rent.

Its drivers that still pay inspection fee.
So, if there are 1000 drivers in lagos, Uber has already bagged N2m naira on inspection fee, talkless of people who had to pay 2times because they failed inspection and people who's cars got blocked and had to return for inspection.

This is a big *slap* on us Africans.
Let uber reduce that commission to 10% or leave Nigeria.

I said you could have your thread lol. I don't know much... I've only had multi-national repair shops for about 10 years and my husband has only been ASE certified for 35 and a mercedes lead tech for 5 of them. Obviously we are only doing what little we can.

I'm just trying to help people. If you look on our thread, you will see we encourage people to share information about other sellers and mechanics that are reputable in our thread since it is about the PEOPLE. I'm not even in the same state as you.. But then again, people used to bring their cars to us from Louisiana and we were in Texas....
