Exactly my point. A taxify/Uber driver was involved in an accident last night at about 11pm,I stopped immediately I saw the incident,I asked him what happened,because the car was under a trailer. One of those trailers that carry container of goods. He said Bros na sleep carry me o. Then I asked why didnt u notice the sleep and give yourself a rest? He said its because he owes the owner of the car 10k and the woman is on his neck,and she even told him to pay up this morning which is Saturday,if not she would retrieve the car from him. Now tell me wats her again at last? Did she get the 10k? The car is gone and the 10k is gone.
My point is,this e-hailing business is no longer as It was b4 because they have slashed the fares and there are lots of drivers on the platform. So be mindful of the weekly pay u dictate to ur drivers..

It happened this evening. I picked up a lady from Ikorodu to Obafemi Awolowo Way Ikeja. Trip fare was #2,200. She said she wanted to transfer, I told her okay and gave her my conditions. She agreed. She did the transfer, I didn't see a credit alert SMS, she did not see a debit alert SMS. Only option left, as per our agreement, was for her to source the cash. A male friend of hers came to her rescue after she called Him on phone. The guy comes and pays me cash. I leave the scene

Two hours later, I get the alert SMS for #2,200! Immediately, I sent a message to her to send her account number so I can transfer the cash back to her.

Still waiting for her response

Beware guys: one guy yesterday from lime ridge hotel chezron drive to computer village ikeja. Acted like he was transferred my pay but didn't . He was like I would take him back and quickly got out of the car. Their way is gain some trust by gisting and claim they are transferring more than the fare. Is Ogataxi. I just went home after it. Is yahoo people. Thank God. Cheers!

Next time ignore the bloody star,
call the rider back, an politely insist to see payment proof, follow him if you have to. (If it is not uber) it is your right. If all fails, pull him shoe

I have a car (tokunbo 2007 Toyota Corolla)and about to give it to someone on higher purchase. Please can someone on here help me with the neccessary details such as what is the expected number of guarantor(s) to demand, should I ask for bulk part payment before the commencement of weekly payments? How much is normally demanded weekly and what is the overall interest that should be added? Please feel free to add any other thing I might have missed out.

Please note, i already made enquiries and the driver also already told me what he can offer (he is an experienced driver on Uber). I just feel I should also get inputs from my Nairaland family. God bless you all as you take time out to answer. And yes, I also have a lawyer to be involved cos I am not based in naija at the moment.

I started my car(Toyota Corolla 2005) this evening and found out none of my electricals are functioning (Power windows, radio, mirrors, clock etc) even my fan doesn't seem to be working too after checking beneath the bonnet. Had to manage till I got home. please what's your take on this ? So I can instruct my kazeem on what to look at.

We all should be careful while driving in traffic at night, something happened to me last night and feel like sharing it here, I was at Abiola garden heading to toll gate and there is always a little traffic around there at night, someone started beating my trunk that something is coming out from my silencer, i did not answer cos I sensed there is danger and I immediately wind up my 2 front window cos I wound down since am going home, before I know it, someone else was already by my passenger's side and used his hand to stop the rolling window from outside, took my phone and disappear(mind you, I did not hang my phone). I was like ooh, this dream should better stop now cos it can never be real cos all this happened between 2-3seconds. I couldn't stop my car to look out for them, and other cars around me was just going as if nothing has happened, some was even shouting and honking at me to leave the road and in my mind, I was like "YOU'LL ARE MAD, AIN'T HERE WHEN SOMEONE STOLE MY PHONE"

So let's all be careful whenever in traffic, don't hang your phone even when you wind up, and keep your phone at where they can't easily get it.


Seems the best way to go now is to do theft and burglary insurance since taxify cover is useless while you are not on trip.
