Went for routine service this morning and after checks the mechanic said we need to change one the plugs. Car is Nissan maxima 97.

So on removing the plug holder (don't know if that's the name) noticed this black substance pouring from one of the holes. Looks like bits of charcoal but my mechanic couldn't explain what it is. So I took some pics.

evaporative emission control valve. A controlled vacuum is pulled from the fuel tank thru the charcoal canister, before it gets to the intake. 

Problem here is the canister is defective and bits of actual Charcoal are being sucked up into the intake. This is not very health for the engine.

My suggestion is you replace the canister (good luck finding one ) or block off vacuum pipe from fuel tank (its crude but a better option)

Car makes loud clunking noise when accelerating, climbing slopes, as well as same loud clunking noise when the car is started either cold start or warm start.

Getting frustrated by ds my mechanics
About 2 months ago I had d issue, mechanic replaced the cam shaft (they called it a funny name) four long rods with teeth at the very top of the engine, now the noise is back. Please help me. It's frustrating.

I have a Lexus RX300 2000 model I bought the SUV since 2013. I have been experiencing high fuel consumption recently and the check light has been on. I took the car for a diagnosis and the code that came up was p1130 and p1150. And it was indicating oxygen sensor bank1 and bank2. The two oxygen sensor has been tested with a meter and it has a reading. Now I'm confused on what to do now if I should go ahead and change it. Please I need advice on what to do.

After cruising this Toyota for almost 500,000 kilometres, possibly the same engine, gearbox and most auxiliary parts.......

Be thankful and simply visit GAZ.ZUZZ for an engine overhaul or be prepared to buy another vehicle.......... Almost time to upgrade.....

I'm this harsh on her cos she actually confirmed they would start marriage rites by November.

FRSC is just a duplication of vio. they should be scrapped.
scrapping FRSC will save the country over 1 billion naira per year.

I bought a Nigerian used EOD 2004 2.4L 4plugs, I serviced immediately after the purchase but after two weeks I discovered engine oil shortage and also the car consumes more fuel than an average eod. I took the car to my regular mechanic and he said I'll need to ring the engine that some parts are old or worn out already & thats the reason for the colored exhaust fumes when I start the car in the morning , he said there's no need to change the whole engine because the car still moves as fast as any other eod, ac is working perfectly and other features are cool.. But I want a professional advance and also cost of ringing and cost of fixing another engine.
I also want to know if is possible when changing the car engine to a 2.0L instead of the factory 2.4L engine.

Hello house, I am about to buy a Tokunbo 2005 Toyota Echo for Uber/Taxify. I know fuel consumption would be great as it comes with a 1.5ltr engine but I want to know how rugged and durable the car is. Also how available are the spare parts? Is anyone here familiar with the car?

Gazzuzz baba. please my 2008 Honda accord dey act funny. The car shudders at low rpms. like when im accelerating from stop and I gave it a little gas. it doesn't do so at high rpms. The shuddering/shaking goes away when I release the accelerator and then give it more gas. It doesnt occur every time but internmently. abeg wetin be the problem

Morning Mr Gazzuzz, let me seize this opportunity. Acura MDX, 2004. Gear works well but once in a while, it doesn't pick as in the car doesn't move as it should. Upon scanning, says the gear is working well but some sensors are bad i.e ABS sensors, changed both but no luck. Any other sensor you feel I should replace? Thank you.
