femi4: Does vin work for naija used If naija used was bought brand new, the odometer are hardly rolled back
If the naija used was bought from the US or Canada, based on the age of the car (in nigeria) and a vin report you can get an educated guess on current mileage.
E.g. A banker working on the island and living on the mainland would do an average of 50-100km a day.
A taxi driver in lagos could do more than 200km every day
An interstate transporter could do 500-1000km every other day. |

MrJames007: Engineers I greet. I observed something please help out. I opened the valve cover on my AC line(the low side) and placed my finger over it. Without pressing that tiny pin that would release the gas, I could feel gas pushing my finger off. Please is that a leakage? I ignored it because I think by covering back that cover I removed the gas can't escape. I'm not sure, that is why I decided to ask here. The ac is still chilling though. Please am I losing gas there or is it normal? If it is leaking, is it possible to replace that inner valve like I see it replaced on tyres? you are loosing gas, replace the valve. |

kenyguy: Pay attention to the details and mechanics should also care about the car owner and not just his own interests. As a parts suppliers with years of experience can tell you that sometimes the mechanics prefer the cheaper one because of what they will gain. We have heard this many times "this man don't like to pay for workmanship so bring the cheaper one since it will last for at least one month" Thank You!!! the highlighted will apply to under shade tree situations, where the labour charge is not indicated on an invoice before commencement of the job. |

mayor2013: How many of the part sellers knows this especially the ones that are in the toks line. All they know is "oga your own na 3pin, e curve for body". Gives me headache all the energy one is meant to channel into work is being used to talk too much But you the mechanic should know better, that's what differentiates the shade tree from the learned.

MotorConnectz: sorry I didn't post the issue skipped my mind. The owner is a family friend that live in the United states. He parked it down for a while and currently the car has an undercarriage rust. This is a factory problem with older model Toyota Sequoia and the Tundra. Apart from that the engine, gear AC and all are fine.
sorry?
Only the undercarriage rust. I will upload the image of the engine tomorrow please bear with me. it must be very bad rust. If it was mild car would be 1.7m |
