I have 4 Used tyres I want to sell, 255/60/17 production date 15th week of 2013 solus kumoh brand (made in korea) they are the stock wheels that came with my hyundai, and are still in very very good condition.

I wanted to travel from Abuja to Delta on Saturday, so I decided to board a commercial vehicle (name withheld). Soon, the bus got filled up and we started the journey. I was so enjoying the journey because the driver was on a very high speed and there was a lot of breeze coming into the vehicle. Fast forward to Lokoja just before river Niger and river Benue, we saw from a far distance that there was hold up(because of environmental sanitation) and our driver tried to stop the vehicle but the brake refused to respond(our vehicle was on a very high speed), there was a petrol tanker just in front of us(I was already saying my last prayer, since the vehicle, refused to stop), everyone in the vehicle started screaming the name of Jesus (beside the four hausa guys at the back of the vehicle) and all of a sudden the vehicle diverted from our Lane into the other Lane and stopped miraculously without brake. Now, if the vehicle had not diverted we would have crashed into the tanker and only God knows, maybe I would have been dead, leaving my family in grief and sorrow, but God saved me.
I shared this in crime section because, the careless driver knew the brake was not in good working condition but he decided to use the vehicle because his manager told him that if he doesn't use it, he should just consider himself fired ... Is this not the worst crime on Earth??... Well I thank God I didn't die nor did anyone in the vehicle die..

Perhaps it might be the column. I experienced it with my hyundai accent 2012 but been using it like that. However you can get the parts at ladipo. There are kia and hyundai dealers there.

the electronic steering column has issues, if your car is still under warranty, kia or hyundai should replace for free, if not it is an expensive fix (over 300k)

just got back. There are terrible spots between Auchi and the bypass from benin. At som point, had to drive into town and made a large turn, to avoid a very bad spot on the road.

what year of production? If it is the 1989-2000 model, it is pretty straight forward, replace transmission, flywheel, engine mounts and 1 cv joint, replace brake pedal, and install an automatic shifter. Very little wiring involved, because there is no transmission Ecu involved.

But the more recent models, will cost too much to convert, and would be more sensible to sell and replace. But if you insist on converting, just search for same model in a scrap yard (owode onirin in lagos) and pick out all the automatic parts you require, it will be cheaper than buying from ladipo in bits.

lack of hydraulic pressure when depressing the clutch. Car might become undrivable.

are you sure the wheel balance was done properly? Was it digital? Swap front and rear wheels and see if it stops.

I'm currently in Auchi EDO state, so I went thru that same road. Fortunately I traveled with a Korean car bought brand new so I don't have to deal with the issues of custom duty, and the police don't just seem to be interested in my vehicle since I started using it. But aside that, traveling on lagos benin express road requires, a sound driver and a sound vehicle.

A driver with very good eye sight, quick/sharp reflexes that knows when and how to avoid craters. The roads are not too good from the shagamu end up till the ondo state boundary, but there after its a smooth trip all the way to benin you should have "all" your paper work when I mean all I mean vehicle license, insurance, vehicle inspection certificate,certificate of ownership, CMR, license plate receipt, vehicle receipt registration receipt, if you have a tint permit ensure you have paper work that shows that you have started processing the new one, ensure if you are carrying anything in the car, you have a receipt for it, also ensure if the car is not in your name, you have paper work that shows that you have permission by the owner to use his/her vehicle for a period of time(not indefinately) ensure you have good tyres, brake pads, and fuel delivery is on point and free of dirt on the strainer, ensure you know if your engine burns oil, and how much it burns over how many kms. Ensure your wipers are perfect and head lamps are ok.
