I did scan the vehicle and the code said oxygen sensor 2, bank 2. Can this be the only reason for the the vtm light showing?

Your scanner is lowest grade chinko

Actually there are codes that certain hand held scanners will not pick up, e.g manufacturer specific codes, so get a high end scanner and you will see the error.

Help please, I am about to purchase a very sweet looking 2007 honda pilot but has the vtm and check engine light on. The Jeep seems somehow sluggish when the light comes on but very sleek when it is not. What could be responsible for this? is it easily fixable or should I just bolt? please help.

I fixed an error in my car. Later I noticed I've been hearing funny noises but to my surprise early this morning I didn't hear any noises from the particular area after cruising this morning.

OP TAKE your car to a proper garage that has diagnostic equipment. There are too many things that could cause Black smoke, including a faulty Engine Ecu.

Pls I have this issue of my car bringing out black exhaust smoke after start up and whenever the throttle is matched on.

This is giving me a big concern considering the fact its a recently purchased vehicle and no "check engine" light is showing for me to diagonise it.

Kindly help me in your suggestions on how to rectify this.

there may not be something actually wrong but it's not right. There is a tsb by Toyota on this issue and it affects 2gr-fe engines with their 3way catalytic converter . The problem is In the catalyst producing hydrogen peroxide making it have rotten egg smell. To resolve it, catalyst has to be changed.

You are 100% wrong. The only thing Gazzuzz may be wrong on is the price which may likely have increased due to recent dollar brouhaha. As at last year when Gazzuzz and I were in oyingbo to source for the engine, we did not find a single one available despite Gazzuzz's tenacity and numerous people resources. The one of 300/350k is a fake R20 engine (basically a civic R18 engine, which looks physically identical to the R20, they just file off the 18 and stamp 20, though Gazzuzz was able to detect this right away, or the 'worked' one which is when the oyingbo chaps merge components from the R18 and R20 engine)

The engine is NOT available and definitely not affordable.

And you didn't pay for engine Inspection

I have just made inquiries myself and 2 people on this forum have called me and have stated that they have also been to oyingbo... the engine is available and cost 300k.

Pls I respect your opinion but always put a caveat if you are not sure of something.

The engine is available and affordable. Oyingbo is not far.

Kingreign like how much does this brand new OEM sensor cost + the programming. Car is a 2011 Camry. One of my sensors is broken!

I do Owerri to Abuja regularly but I go through Owerri to Onitsha - Onicha Ugbo - Uromi to Ewu junction to Okene to Lokoja and then Abuja. I spend less hours via this route because the roads are relatively ok. However, I have peeps who do the Enugu route but each time we take off together, I usually get to Abuja before them.
They also complain that the Enugu route is lonely. The Ajeokuta stretch of the route is very bad so you need to be careful there.
