I have a 2000 model Honda Accord SE. The car jerks once it get to 3000 RPM and does not go beyond it.

My mechanic have done all sorts, the issue still remains, what can be done ?

I just bought a tokunbo Toyota Sienna 2006 from Coutonu. I went there picked the car myself. I even test-drove it myself and everything was alright.

The agent that brought it from the point of sale said the car engine started making noise after the left the park. They had to push it across to Nigeria. These they didn't tell me until it got to Nigeria.

I later took my mechanic there and he discovered that oil was not supplying into the engine making the crown shaft to go bad. I paid and all that needed to be changed was changed.

I drove it home from the workshop with the AC on and before I got home the noise started again with oil indicator blinking. The mechanic took it back, work on it and told me to drive it for one week without putting on the AC.

I have used it now for one week. I still hear faint noise but not as bad as before. I took it everyday sometimes at a speed of 120 without any issues.

Today, I put on the AC and the noise began to come up again.

What can I do? The car is very neat and cool but this is giving me headaches.

Lazy or lag while climbing hills.
It shoots when i revv the engine at stationary.

engine is running rich,you are having some combustion in the exhaust system car needs a scan. Come for a free scan if in lagos.

My brother, are you an electrician or mechanic. I think you have lots of experience about Toyota Engine, what you said was exactly what really happened. The mechanic contulted his friend whom is a mechanic/electrian and was able to correct the error. I was there with them so I couldn't check back on this post to see your input on time. Nairaland is a house that contains the Good, the Bad and the Urgly, daily challenges make me know more about this wonderful house.

but we compared price and i sent him to apo to check for half engine he found one for 70k (1.4) capacity..and he says thru hes access the engine looks solid by the test he has carried out..please my fear now is before i proceed with change of engine,what are the measure one need to crosscheck before buying a tokunbo engine... how can i know the milaege,the year of the engine and others..

Good evening Gazzuzz and other gurus. I recently changed my civic 97 engine. The new engine runs fairly ok.
At stationary, if i rev the engine there is shoot, pa pa at the exhaust which is common to commercial buses, at this point the idle will come down and get to normal later.
I also sometimes notice a kind of foul smell in the cabin while the car is in motion.
Lastly, it is kind of lazy while climbing hill.
Kindly help. I never had these issues with the old engine, i changed the engine due to recurrent crankshaft pulley problem.

Good morning car gurus, I just changed my car engine Rav 4 2002 to a tok
s engine. The mechanic delivered it today but told me to go and refill the ac with new refrigerant, I was suspecting him because nothing was wrong with the compressor before I changed the engine.

Though the car works fine but it was like giving a kind of little high sound, the mechanic said there was no cause for alarm that everything would soon be ok and he promised to still be checking until I am satisfied.

Is there any need for me to be worried? And how much can I fill the ac with refrigerant? Need your urgent responses. Thanks.

My 2006 camry engine got knocked while driving on highway. My mechanic had the crackshaft/meters,camp chaft change and also replaced the rings. After coupling back the
engine, it refused to start.
Now the rewire said its brainbox, but I don't believe him.
Please anybody with idea on what could be responsible for the engine refusal to start?

Anyways thanks for your earlier pointers I was able to call a fellow Kazeem much better than myself and told him what to do. He fixed 2 blown fuses and viola my car starts again. As an added bonus the horn also starts working after he fixes the fuses.

how do you fix a fuse? Fuse nah 50naira, go and buy fuse
