I drive a Volvo S80, year 1999. The car is over heating , i have not seen any leaks, so i don't know the reason. The fan does not really blow when it is supposed to , and the temperature gauge gets to middle in 10 minutes. Only the AC used to work the fan, but now even the AC does not blow the fan anymore, or the fan turns slowly.

What could be the cause of the overheating? The mechanics in Ladipo has asked me to wire the fan direct to the battery, but i have refused. Please let me know what to do.

Have spent more than #60k trying to fix it with 2 different mechanics and they still can't get it right. The steering is a bit hard. They have changed the pump, serviced the steering rack.

Now a new mechanic is saying I need to change the steering knuckle, the pressure pipe connected to the steering and that the pump needs to be changed again cos its has been damaged by the steering rack.

Please I need help!!!

With your budget, I will advice you not to rush but rather search vigorously you will be lucky to get a clean car for that amount ;yes it happened to my friend he bought a car that had a market value of 1.2m for 3500, in fact the man even gave him 50 to buy fuel and tire when he heard it was his first car.

I scanned with Torque and i got fault code P0758 - Generic (Type: Powertrain - Transmission -ISO/SAE Controlled) (Description: Shift Solenoid "B" Electrical), P0758 - GM (Type: Powertrain-Transmission -ISO/SAE Controlled) (Description: Transmission 2-3 Shift Solenoid Electrical Fault) (Cause: P0560) and P1155 - Toyota (Type Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled) (Description Air fuel sensor) California - RH front - heater circuit malfunction (Cause: Wiring, air fuel ratio sensor, ECM)

I am not a technician and my Mechanic is good at what he does but this one is kinda much for him to handle. He is currently trying to check the plug coils and nozzle, i called him and advised him to work on the timing as you advised, he did and said its ok. And surprisingly the fuel pump is running continuously even when the ignition is off, unless when the battery head is off.

The mechanic replaced the Airflowmeter and a complete Fuel Pump cause he also suggested same thing. But the problem is still there. Am just confused.

you should scan and take vehicle for proper diagnosis. But from past experience with your vehicle, you are dealing with an airflowmeter or fuel pressure issue. It's also possible your timing is retarded by a few degrees

I don't know if anybody can help me out there who has gone through this mistake road before.
I applied for a driver's license in Lagos, Ikotun office precisely and after several weeks got the temporary license. But to my surprise, my sex was changed to female by the FRSC officer in charge of data. Before the capturing, the mistake was spotted which I asked them to change but they still went ahead with the mistake.
Now am in a fix because after the capturing I was told by the officer that he can't change it again. I want to know if there is anything I can do before the permanent license comes out? Searched FRSC website and there is no mention of such a mistake and how to rectify such.

Please i need Urgent assistance....I have a 2002 Toyota Highlander and its giving me headaches. When the car is Park Mode and the Engine is ON, it sounds so sweet and calm. But once its engaged on Drive mode, and you try to move the car it will make a pop pop sound and jerk on first movement from the air filter box. Once it succeeds in moving, it will accelerate well until you stop and same problem will surface again.

The plugs are firing well.

Please how can i get out of this problem.

Ever since then, its been one story or the other, only for you to be asking me to send you my account number whenever you pick my call after refusing to pick it for a while. We've repeated this cycle 3 times after the initial transaction, making it 4 times now, in a period spanning almost one year...

You are now acting as if I'm just out to ruin you. That was so pedestrian and lowly, please, you have my account number, refund my cash and I'll just move on...

Dang... My check engine light came on after getting to ore. Scanned it and it is that dreaded p0139 o2 sensor circuit slow response. I hate this light... I just changed the damn o2 sensor. Gazzuzz Abeg can u shed more lights on this. Car has become a little sluggish and it is wasting fuel.

I cleared the code and continued after a few minutes, car was working like normal again.

Have the car scanned, it will explain fuel economy issues. For the high idle, have the throttle body serviced.
