Sorry to say it, but I have to, what you are saying makes no sense, (no pun intended, so don't be angry we learn everyday) you should describe the quantity and color of the smoke and where it is coming from, I mean is the smoke from the exhaust pipe? is the smoke white? if you are using coolant instead of ordinary water, do you perceive any sweet smelling scent or something from the exhaust, if yes then I think you might have a blown head gasket, well, I would like you (since the smoke is bizzare) to do a leak down test.


Please, Gazzuz, do you do leak down tests ?

Can anyone enlighten me on this:
I drive a 1999 Toyota camry which as proven to be efficient and reliable over time, but the major issue I have is the rate at which the timing belt cuts. In a space of 6months I have had to change it like twice and the last change I made, I requested my mechanic to get the highest grade which he said goes for about #4000, despite that I still encounter this problem, could there be any other factor that could lead to the frequent cutting of this timing belt or what exactly. And also are there any tell signs one need to watch out for in order to anticipate the cutting of the timing belt as I have had to go through a lot of stress when this happen unprepared for.

Just say poor tyre maintenance - over inflation, under inflation, misallignment, non-balancing. Even a good new tyre not properly maintained is a threat. Was the minister using substandard or expired tyre too during his accident.

I did as you had advised . I did a DW1 tranny flush . Still the problem persists .I can only drive the car on 1 and 2 D3 and D dont even do well at as the car engine REVS and put more extra pressure on the engine anytime i put it on D . Meanwhile I have used 2 all along as i recently began noticing that it dis-engaes when I am on 1 .

what other suggestions do you advise ? please do i go for a new set of Gear box ?and if yes do I still have to reuse the same DW 1 once i get the new gear box / please quick answers as i am in a dilemma and need to travel with the car by the end of the month .

My 2007 Model of Toyota Sienna has a problem of high temperature rise with a kind of dry smoke emitting from the engine at each incidence. Last week a mechanic changed the water pump and the radiator was cleaned with no leakage. I want to visit another mechanic tomorrow but would like to hear any advise on what could be suspected as the fault. Thanks

Thanks alot. I have finally seen it. The sensor is not connected, no cable attached to it.
The question is if no cable attach to it suppose not to show any error of knock sensor from ECU.
The problem now is dat mechanics in my state don't know wat a knock sensor is. They argue dat it's not a sensor but oil switch. I have to look for the cable to attach it together.

Hi great people,

Please I need urgent expert advise on this; my Nissan Primera 2003 had some electrical fault and some cable got bunrt. Burnt cables now fix, brainbox had to b replaced before d car will start.

The problem now is that, it wont take throttle after start/ no rev at all. My mechanic advise tht i change from trottle sensor to a throttle that uses cable, for this is about the third time this failure will occure . Please house, what is the disadvantage of this? Is it a good thing to do?

Everything in order sir. They even scanned the car with a computer so as to detect the issue, but no error was detected.

I need to see this car free diagnosis and scanning when can I see it?

My 2009 Honda Accord has been giving me headache since Friday. I came back from work around 11.30pm on Thursday night without the car giving any faulty sign, it's however surprising that I tried starting the car the following morning around 7am so as to go to the office and the car refuse to answer my call. OK, maybe that's normal, because cars can funny a times. But what I considered abnormal is the fact that 4 different mechanics (including my personal mechanic) has been on the car since that Friday without finding any fault. 2 rewire technicians too has come to check it without any success.

Now, what I thought is just a minor issue is fast becoming a serious one (I don't know the witch I offended oo).

Please my people, what can I do. Do you know of any mechanical Zeddicus zul Zorander or merlin that can perform magic on my car and get it back to life. Because I really don't understand how a car can defeat 6 technicians.

Hello Gazzuzz. I changed my gear box last year August. Camry '06. 13 pin. After d initial attempt to scamm me into using an 11 pin, I got 13pin installed.

Enjoyed it since then. Last week, I noticed a jerk as it moved from 1 to 2 @ 40-50km/hr. I stopped n checked d transmission fluid. It was clear. Am using Toyota IV or something like that. It didn't happen again till today. It has happened 4 times.

Please what should I do? The car moves freely n speeds without any problem

Please can anyone come up with an idea of what would be the reason why my Sienna 1999 model car (Automatic) does not engage beyond gear one.
One person told brain-box might be the problem while the other said fuel-pump, and another said speedometer sensor.

This is a new development, it was selecting well before now. the gear oil is well gauged

I drive toyota sienna 2007 for about 4 years now and the vehicle does not disturb not until August last year that the car developed one fuel pump/fuel filter wahala.

Every two weeks to one month, i buy fuel pump or fuel filter 35ku. The one i replaced last week broke down this morning so i use vex dey write this.

Abeg, anybody with suggestion or idea of what could be the problem should please help me out. I dun tire.

Another point of note; after driving for a while the speedometer stops reading and the odometer display becomes blank. Once this happens the gear shift/chnaging becomes erratic.

Did a few research online and while some says it's the speed sensor others say it's the instrument cluster abi na dashboard display dem dey call am sef...

Good morning everyone, please am new with Honda vehicles. I recently acquired Accord 06 and did first oil maintenance using ForteOil Visco 2000(I wasn't there, so the mechanic used that), after few hundred miles thereabout (from Lagos to Katsina), engine oil life dropped from 100% to 70%(displayed on the dashboard) another 200 to 300 miles (Katsina to Kano back to Katsina), it displayed 50%. Went to Sokoto and back to Katsina, it displayed 30% and small local running around as I work and stay in Katsina. I discovered the oil was almost on low(like it is evaporating or something as I checked for all possible oil leakage or engine smoking and there was none). I had to proceed on an urgent assignment to Jos town so a friend recommended topping with quartz 7000 1 litre which I did, the journey was like 500 to 600 miles and the engine oil life still displayed 30%.
I want to change the oil but I don't know which is the best to use considering the recommended 5W-20 mechanic doesn't seem to follow that and the present extreme weather condition of 45°C here in Katsina.

Please I need your professional advice. Thanks to everyone
