What a despicable man Abati is. Another hollow noise-maker whose past utterance now disgrace him as a mercenary hypocrite. |
dasparrow: I do not know this British lady but I feel sorry for her based on what she had to go through. I am sure she will never see Kenya the same way again. I am curious though, which African countries are indeed friendly to African foreigners living in their midst? I know you have traveled Africa extensively so I would like to hear your view on that please. My dear brother, the sad and truthful answer is "not many". You can always feel adequately comfortable in many African Countries but the truth is that you are only a serious conflict away from moving from "settled" to "hounded" if you get into a serious conflict with an indigene of your host Nation. This is singularly the reason why I always have an issue with the pan-africanists on Nairaland with zero on-the-ground experience to correct their misguided impression of Africans being virtuous and united victims of injustice from "outsiders". Africans, in my experience, do the most wicked and savage things to each other. They can hate each other passionately and I do not have enough time to give real examples of this. It is always attractive to read the most intellectually impressive literature and then take sides with your own and with no appreciation for the reality on the ground. Not many could have been more pan-Africanist than I was in the past as a cocooned diasporan proud of his African origin. The truth however, when I began travelling in Africa, was ugly. It is what Africans are not ready to confront. You can be in the trendiest clubs/bars in most fairly modern African capital cities to find that your own African ladies only have time and eyes for white/Lebanese men simply because we do not even believe in ourselves despite the hollow rhetoric we deceive and enslave each other with when we should be confronting the truth about our fractured and unhealthy psyche. In my opinion, no African Country is mature enough to consistently and fairly protect the interest of immigrants in majority of instances. This, to a large extent and regardless of what silly pan-Africanist Nairalanders say, is due to how Africans, on average, are still not developed or sophisticated enough to note what matter and live by it consistently. I personally find it laughable we fret about racism because Africa has a severe problem with prejudice and xenophobia today. For Nigerians engaged in business across Africa, I will always advise them to try and get the best out of their diasporan African base. The big 'but' is that they must do it with humility and grace because you cannot demand sophistication from a man that he does not have. Important therefore to be gracious, humble and non-threatening or intimidating. Nigerians, however well-connected in their African diasporan bases, should not make the mistake of getting into any 'entitlement' tussle with indigenes of those Nations. When push comes to shove, you will lose. Do your business, stay grounded and try and repatriate healthy profit homewards. |
Kenyanstar: NIGERIANS ABUSING KENYA'S HOSPITALITY.I won't deny there are bad Nigerians but don't come here hypocritically lying that your Country is full of virtue alone. Is it not the same Nation where a shameless female high court judge ordered a British woman to be arrested and detained in prison so she could take over her business? This evil judge fully succeeded as well backed by your highly corrupt and amoral judiciary complemented by your police force. That, in itself, speaks volumes for the sort of thing that goes on in your Country so spare me the sanctimonious talk portraying Nigerians as the ones always in the wrong while pretending you guys are all paragons of virtue. |
991: @ the boldLook, I am not defending this guy merely because we are both Nigerians but you guys need to experience the crude and xenophobic nature of some Africans to understand that they can indeed scheme against you as this man alleges below. I have experienced it too and it is one of the most dehumanising experience I would not want to wish on anyone. The issue about my wrongful deportation started some years ago when I had a misunderstanding with my ex-wife and later separated. It was over infidelity on the part of my wife. She was having extra-marital affair with a popular Kenyan politician at my back. And when I found out, I divorced her, after which she connived with the man and started fighting over my property that is worth over $5 million. So, in 2008, they wanted to deport me through illegal means, but the Nigerian Ambassador to Kenya at that time, Ambassador Nwigwe, intervened and stopped them. He countered whatever gimmick they introduced to deport me. Since then, they have been putting me and many other Nigerians through series of traumatic experiences. |
gbanikiti: That means it's not really targeted at only Nigerians, but all the same, Federal Government should act fast to curb the situation. Nigerians in South Africa are suffering, now Kenya? smhNot it is not but the difference is intent. Against others, they are mainly just predatory and not malicious. Against Nigerians, they are malicious, xenophobic and cruel. I remember the killers of Lucky Dube, the South African raggae Star, saying to a judge that they shot him dead because they thought he was Nigerian!!! As for the Government, forget them. There is no cohesive or even semi-robust efforts to protect Nigerians maltreated abroad. It is when Senators are harassed in Nigeria that our Politicians will flex muscle. We are on our own and I very much identify with this guy. |
gbanikiti: O ga o! Federal Government seem to care less. NO one is saying anything. Our legislators are busy doing irrelevant things. Why should Nigerians be treated as slaves in foreign countries yet foreigners are treated as kings in Nigeria? hmm...Kenyans eff with everyone like that and this is why I know this guy is telling the truth. I am mad at his plight because, as someone also involved in business outside my home countries of Nigeria and the UK, I can relate to what he is going through. The crudeness in some African Countries, even those we assume sophisticated, is such that they can scheme to take what you have built and sunk your money into without any qualms at all. They know that nobody will come to your aid and they act secure in the knowledge they will get away with whatever they do to you. This same thing happened to a white British woman who was married to a Kenyan. She built a thriving Bar/club business only to find herself arrested and jailed on bogus charges. When her husband attempted to bail her the whole judicial system conspired to keep this woman behind bars under horrid conditions. The reason? A High Court judge wanted her Bar/club business for herself !!! She simply kept the British woman in jail till she completed a take-over of the business. Totally immoral and wicked. This British woman suffered so much in Kenya one would break down and weep for her. In the end she eventually gained her freedom and she immediately went back to the UK with her Kenyan husband and daughter. |
991: Lesson to learn. The man did nothing wrong investing away from home. What he did not prepare for that most Nigerians can simply not appreciate, till they experience it, is the caveman crudeness and xenophobia of other Africans. What he said about Kenyan elite planning to take over is very true. Americans invest throughout the world and you cannot trample on an American like this. This man mainly falls victim to the reality of how no one has the back of a Nigerian when bad and unfair things happen to him abroad. |
This man is telling the truth in my opinion and what he said, reproduced below, is totally correct 100%. Horrid thing to happen to him and others but episodes like this show how worthless and wretched Nigeria is. Why is there no diplomatic outcry over this from authorised Nigerian representative in Kenya? And the plan of the Kenyan elite is to take over everything. You can verify all I am telling you. |
The break-up of Nigeria will achieve nothing because our major problems are fairly straightforward and the sort that merely requires ordinary Nigerians themselves to recognise their own powers and be more evolved, more involved and gain more political sophistication so as to enforce the change they want. Deploying a 'sledgehammer approach' to kill a fly just shows how we Africans are incapable of honest introspection that will enable us to confront our own deficiencies that is failing us more than anything else. Accentuating ethnic, cultural and religious differences are just ways for a relatively underdeveloped people to conveniently shift blame away from themselves. I make bold to say that Nigerians would have a wonderful country today, working for the majority, if we had the sophistication to match how we outnumber our most powerful and influential leaders by a millions to one. There would be no concession we would be unable to force from leaders if we fully understand how to utilise the concept of "Amandla Awetu" i.e people power . What Nigeria needs is a truly federal structure placing real power at the door of States and regions. It is Nigerians who must be focused and visionary enough to agitate for this. If we cannot do so now we will similarly lack the ability to do so under new oppressors in any Nation we find ourselves in after separation. The docility and disinclination to hold leaders to account will not disappear and naturally this will be problematic wherever we go because our oppressive leaders will not suddenly disappear. They will follow us to be problems in a new nation. They may even be more oppressive without the federal might of Nigeria checking them. Evolution, high quality education and optimal human development are the key because they will create citizens who will always be able to stand up to leaders and secure the Country they want. Running from pillar to post will solve nothing. Those who are visionary and can see beyond today, tomorrow and even 30 years ahead will know that planning properly to make those things work well together is the best solution for Nigeria. In the meantime, the challenge today is to keep supporting leaders who offer a better deal. Doing so automatically brings greater delivery of solutions and helps to move evolution, education and optimal human development in the right direction. |
Afam4eva: Not every building is of the same height. mike404:Why are you guys so averse to doing even the most basic of research in this information age? Simply amazing. When they say the black man loves to bask in ignorance we will be sanctimoniously angry. http://www.ihgplc.com/ |
@OP. You come across as perhaps a polite and amiable sort. Why not find something/someone better to support than worthless Musiliu Obanikoro? He is 'dead on arrival' and not even in the reckoning as per 2015. Stop wasting your own time. |
VillageBoi: Thank you Gbawe. Yes I did go for a certain DOF with each pic, glad you like them. I have a 7D and 60D (love the flipout screen of the 60D)... but I want a tiny pocket camera too. The funny thing is I only take pics for fun really; it's not that much of an interest... ok I get paid for all sorts of photoshoots even though I'm totally amateur but my main interest really is filmmaking. Then consider a sony nex C3 with a small prime lens eg the 16mm. Probably the best balance of small size, value and excellent picture quality you can get out there currently. My wife has that and I use it sometimes. Very good small camera but you have to get a small prime lens because the kit lens it ships with unbalances the body in use and takes getting used to for effective handling. Unnecessary hassle when you consider that some prime lens are way better than the standard kit lens. Personally, I am set on the Samsung nx300 (with the 30mm prime lens addition ) as my street/mobility snapper but I concede the Sony Nex c3 is smaller while still being capable of very good results albeit with more effort than the Samsung. You're right about the flip-out screen of the 60D. Great feature but becoming standard now with any fairly serious entry-level dslr. Interesting you are a budding film maker. You can't go wrong with Canon in that regard. I'll check out your short films. Wishing you the best with your endeavors. Having a keen interest in something is always a great start because it means you go further where others lose focus, flounder or turn back. |
@Villageboi. Some nice pics. Great depth of field in some of the pictures. Did you adjust for it? What Camera is your 'poison'? I am quite a keen amateur photographer and also need good shots in a professional capacity. Currently have a Samsung NX20 and Canon 60D but I plan to get the new Samsung nx300. Best 'street' photography tool in my opinion. Outstanding autofocus with great results and colour depth. |

Sibrah: Oga Gbawe, the anonimi guy effed up no doubt, please forgive his sorry arse and don't arse eff him anymore. I know he has learnt his lessons. To be honest, I have no time for the clown. He effed himself up the azz and went too far once again even as his 'conman' antics was never going to deceive those who know him well on this forum. You are wrong about him learning any lesson. This is not the first time he has done this only to be shamed as a pathetic liar. It won't be the last either. He always comes back full of more lies and deceptive message of hatred. Dude has issues and I personally worry Nairaland is hosting unstable elements who need psychiatric help. |
RedReact: KORO is a man who is KOROciously eyeing the the seat of the of the man that Koronically floogged him at the 2007 polls, causing him to Korostically faint and was afterwards Koronically coronated as KORO of Nigerian embassy in Ghana where he Korogatedly did nothing at all. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
nuclearboy: I wasn't! Just wanted him to climb the tree past the leaves So you were setting a trap for the hater ? I forget that he is well-known here as a preacher of hate. Market has dried up for him today and he has fled with tail between legs taking his gang of haters with him. ![]() |
ebankole: Sorry am not tryin to go off TOPIC" but u guy seen or witnessed the massive stuffs going on in Ogun state..menn that Man is trying...in thinks these Acn Govs are superb in as much as am not any party freak...great SW is gettin better...Buh really am yet to see much of Aregb or Osun.Bruv, you are not off topic at all. Amosun is indeed doing very well. it is times like this one appreciates the effort of Tinubu and this is why I 'charge' when hateful elements, especially those he has done no wrong to, attack the dude non-stop here. Without his effort and support, it would be Olurin, OBJ's antiquated military boy-boy, who would be messing up Ogun State right now. I am personally optimistic that the progress the SW will make during the two-terms of these current ACN Governors will be immense. |
django1: Gbawe, you beat me to this, its a shame the boy never confirms what he is about to post properly and will always have people to like his post regardless.Well, this forum is full of haters and I expect them to always 'like' the malicious and devilish lies of Nairaland's number one preacher of hate. |
Garri the 1st: Thanks for exposing the hateful liar. I wonder how folks with such dark hearts manage to sleep at night...Very wicked and devilish chap !! When will the "dark-hearted" Anonimi, especially since he claims to be from the SW, let go of the pure wickedness and hatred in his soul to simply back the progress being seen and felt across the SW? He will run away rather than have the decency to come and apologize for his lie against the Oyo Governor. Rest assured he will pop up foaming at the mouth on the next thread related to positive news about the SW. Sad creature. Not at all to be taken seriously by sane and balanced members of this forum. |
nuclearboy: Wow - will research this but IF TRUE, then truly something is wrong!Bro,as a decent poster, I would not want you to be taken in by the blatant lie of the biggest and most hateful conman on Nairaland. Scroll above to see my post where I show that Oyo planned to supplement the 2012 budget with a N50 billion loan. The Government did not go on to take said loan and this actually resulted in budget implementation success of 70%. Bruv, never take Anonimi seriously. He is nothing but a hateful criminal and conman with no iota of morality or decency at all. |
texaco1: ACN=ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL NETWORK.wel let ajimobi chop all the money he can now because the verdict has been passed on him already by the people of oyo state which is ACN MUST GO .that party was built on lie ,no wonder they have a liar as their secetary. There is no bigger "criminal" or "conman" than the poster you just quoted i.e Anonimi. Nairalands own preacher of hate, peddler of lies plus high priest of false and malicious character assassination. Read what was written before your last response to see that the scammer has conned you and others via seeking to play on the sort of unobjective hatred of others he knows predisposes some posters to gobbling up any lie however ridiculous. He knows many who are his co-travellers in hatred will never attempt to banish ignorance to seek information that will expose his blatant, wicked and hateful lies. |
Okija juju: Holy shiiit!!The chap you quote, a known liar and rabid hater of any progressive news from ACN administrators, has actually done to you what you foolishly and disgustingly insinuate he did to the Oyo Governor. Is it not amazing the lies people like you will believe because of bad belle for others? Do you and the discredited liar Anonimi think this is how crudely non-transparent State financing is to the jocular extent a Governor can take a 50 billion loan and then glibly deny such? If Oyo took loans, why should Ajimobi deny that? Is taking a loan a crime or does common sense not inform you that, very obviously, Anonimi is doing you up the azz with his ludicrous lies ?This Anonimi chap is now known as a very malicious liar and nuisance on this forum regularly exposed for his devilish and slithering antics. Nairalander can see below his mischief and vengeful lies busted again. Oyo never obtained the 50 billion bond it planned to as a supplementary part of the 2012 budget. This is why budget performance peaked at 70%. This Anonimi guy is just a disgrace and no doubt he will not learn from this latest humiliation. He will be on th next thread spreading wicked lies inhumanly. What a sad creature. Ajimobi is correct saying they have not taken any loan so far. With Anonimi, the most hopelessly and malevolently hateful element on this forum, I say caveat emptor i.e "buyers beware". http://premiumtimesng.com/regional/132191-oyo-to-float-n30bn-bond-to-finance-budget-says-commissioner.html Oyo to float N30bn bond to finance budget, says commissioner |
rodeo0070: Dafua is going on here? Who them be? Where dem dey? That is the best attitude to have. The best thing would be for development to be uniform throughout Nigeria. |
Egba girl: Interpreted as: proper management of funds is evident.Indeed. The man has given a periodic assessment of his leadership to highlight good fiscal management. Nothing at all to make a big deal of. In fact citizens of the State should be fairly excited because of what he has done so far to good acclaim. Distributing 320 tractors for agriculture is one laudable example of spending well. Folks in the State can certainly be optimistic as regards funding for large-scale transformational projects. http://www.oyostate.gov.ng/atiku-acknowledges-transformation-of-ibadan-hails-ajimobis-urban-renewal-programme/ Atiku acknowledges transformation of Ibadan, hails Ajimobi’s urban renewal programme |
ewet: He will need to borrow for capital project financing at some point as no govt can do much by justdepending on fed allocation and IGR which is obviously to meager to have any impact. But i will like to trust that it will be done with due diligence fiscal responsibility.Indeed. The man is not saying he will not borrow in future. Merely giving an update and revealing he has not borrowed so far. Not bad since one can expect the same fiscal responsibility will be applied to judiciously utilise any borrowings in future. |
aasog1: Despite "liking" your comment, I disagree with your opinion about Lagos having way more challenges than the other ACN states. Heres my example,The large population of Lagos introduces problems of scale (more houses and more healthcare provisions needed for example) and infrastructural challenges to levels other SW States will not face. Simplistically, as one example, Lagos needs more far more potable water for its massive populace than other States. Meeting that large demand will be more challenging than Ogun trying to achieve same. Resultantly, Ogun may meet it's target of providing potable water for the majority of its citizen quicker and easier than Lagos can. |
Impressive fiscal management and plans. No surprise though given the pedigree of Ajimobi. Personally, I think the current crop of ACN Governors have the potentials to achive more than Fashola has. This will not be because they are better administrators but due to the fact that they have far less challenges to deal with than the Lagos governors. Laudably, the ACN has recognised that proactively securing the funds for State development without depending on federal allocation alone will move things along much quicker. |
I remember this case. I hope life means life in this case. They should throw in hard labour as well till the day he dies in prison. |
ballabriggs: KORO OLE!!! Arsonist and thief. He is nothing but the most worthless variety of career politician i.e those with nothing at all to offer. This is why I laughed originally when I saw the "messiah" tag. Everyone is a "messiah" these days. ![]() |
vizboy: not only that. The interception isnt at 90 degree. If it were to be at 90 degree i would have gone for the red car but in these case it isntIt does not matter whether it is 90 degrees or not. Road design, especially related to priority of access, does not have to be angle-specific. If the yellow car has no dedicated filter lane it has priority to move into, then it must slow down for the red car which , from all indications, is travelling on a straight and unimpeded lane. You can see from the original diagram that the yellow car is not moving into a dedicated filter lane. Rather, it is moving into the lane the red car, from all information available to us, has priority to use. |
