buharisambisada:Here they go again with the shameless revisionism already and GEJ is not even out of power officially yet. Kings of 419, I dey hail una oooohhhh. You are the sort who put Nigeria on the map for all the negatives reasons. |
SUBWAY101:Unfortunately, dude cannot help himself. He is a jobless and r.tard.ed drifter with a mobile phone. Three lethal combos that should never be mixed. That terrible mix has happened in his case and the result is the idiocy we see him display on every thread daily here. He was probably abandoned as a kid by his folks so it is pointless asking his parents to take his phone away. We will just have to suffer his irritation for a while till he gets a job or is finally locked away in an asylum and deprived phone privilege. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Why are you quoting me then? Loser. As if we don't know you all suffered an emotional meltdown you have not recovered from since GEJ was defeated and sent packing. For the avoidance of doubt, I will repeat that the ultra-divisive and very amoral GEJ only deserves to be a 'peace ambassador' in the reckoning of morally lax cret1ns like you. In responsible nations, with a sophisticated and aware citizenry, leaders are held accountable for their actions whether positive and/or negative. Misruling leaders are not deified for ruining a nation, by those who are the same victims of misrule, only to then be praised for pretending they want roles to repair the damage they deliberately caused. A bit like Hitler wanting to be a judge responsible for jailing war criminals he created. That is another "only in Nigeria" and "only possible with Nigerians" madness. |
SeverusSnape:Find other childish and jobless brats, like yourself to talk to. I am not interested in anything you have to say, as you are a first class buffoon who never makes sense, so stop wasting your own time quoting or talking to me. |
Well, if Shina Rambo and Ayo Oritsejafor could turn away from lives of crime to become "men of God" then perhaps there is hope the most ethnically and religiously divisive President Nigeria has had since 1999 can become a 'peace ambassador' who will now work for ethnic and religious harmony. Mind you, I won't hold my breath as per the chances of GEJ succeeding as a 'peace ambassador' given his history many are all too aware of. Yet Nigerians have short memories so jobless Jonathan is certainly welcomed to try. |
Common guys . You are talking of "jazz" and "Indian magic" yet have you exhausted logical possibilities? The driver could have simply parked the car slanted and used a hydraulic jack (see below) to raise and carefully pull the rear end of the jeep till it fits into the gap the way he wants it. The youtube video shows the principle roughly. He could even have got a few 'willing' friends to help him pull and 'jack' the rear end to fit the car into the gap. Point is that there are ways, excluding driving or 'magic', to fit the car in that gap. https://www.safetyliftingear.com/images/product-page/d2cfd58c-f3f6-4904-8536-0b9fc2573b25/trolley-jack-2-tonne.jpg?1432291074962 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-OkWYqwlmQ |
NewNigeriaMind:Bro, ask others who have known me for long here and they will tell you I used to do precisely that also. Yet the reality is that the internet now unite all sorts of human beings in one cyber space. You may be a refined technocrat and happily married family man arguing with a sexually frustrated agbero/hustler who lives under a bridge in Marina, after leaving his Village to come to Lagos by force, and is now posting from his Chinese knock-off phone to amuse himself and while away time since his life is one 24/7 misadventure of petty crime and joblessness. How do you then win an argument against such a person or even make him see sense when your minds, orientations, achievements, thinking, living conditions, exposure et al are millions of miles apart? If driving along in your nice car in Lagos would you get down to begin fighting a bigoted hawker frustrated from walking under the hot sun all day and looking for Yorubas to insult? I am just pointing out that this is the equivalent of what we are doing sometimes when we respond to these lowlife losers. Did the Nairaland picture expose not show you that many of these chest-beaters and braggarts are nothing but scruffy, ugly, unkempt and wretched losers pretending to be "CEOs" and "mansion owners"? Believe me when I say I understand your anger but I also believe you and many others are above the many failed and frustrated losers who come here daily to promote ethnic wars and disharmony because they have nothing of worth to celebrate in their real lives. I personally think those sort are best ignored and it is in that spirit I said what I did but I understand your stance also and respect whatever action you consider appropriate in dealing with people who wake up daily to spread prejudice and hatred against others disgustingly. |
NewNigeriaMind:Man mi, don't worry yourself about that bigoted fool. From the low patronage of his disgusting thread, which is nothing but a not-too-clever attempt to malign the Yorubas, you can tell that the Yorubas on NL are becoming clever and resilient. Many are now fully aware of the envy, inferiority complex, insecurity and hate that drives others to come here in ethnocentric idiocy daily. Ignore him and leave him to talk to his fellow bigots and haters. It is becoming clear to many Yorubas that those who only see things along ethnic lines and feel they have lost against us many times, to include the latest and still very painful 'loss' being the defeat of GEJ, will always seek worthless and meaningless cyber-confrontation and tribal E-wars they feel gives them a chance to exact some form of revenge against the Yorubas. Is is up to intelligent and focused Yorubas to ignore these Nairalanders because doing this will frustrate them immensely and leave them stewing with rage since the target of their tantrums (the Yorubas) appears unmoved by their incendiary antics. |
aare07:If they go ahead with this method then I think Saraki would probably secure the support of the majority of his peers to emerge Senate President. As for the Primaries idea, it is a good and democratic one that should see the APC emerge united and focused whoever wins since every senator would have been carried along and given the chance to independently choose their own leader without the imposition of an 'anointed' choice of one godfather or the other. |
Yes Buhari has to be tough on corruption and the causes of corruption but Blair et al should not overstep their mark giving advise about sensitive issues they are not best placed to speak on. It is vital Buhari shows the west, ASAP, that he is happy to work with them yet he is his own man who must be taken on his own terms alone without being dictated to by anyone. |
TheOtherview:Indeed. Even more laughable is the way the repugnant 'two-face' deception is carried out in a a crude manner that deceives Nigerians alone while leaving the rest of the world distinctly unimpressed. |
SLIDEwaxie:Thank you ojare. The international community, whether leaders or followers, does not consist of people driven by sentiments and petty prejudice. They already know what Nigeria needs to understand that Buhari is worth supporting. Jonathan should spare the world his lip service because the international community will not buy it. They know he caused all the problems Buhari now has to work hard to overcome. It is only in Nigeria GEJ can talk and be taking seriously. Globally, he is viewed as no more than an over-indulged, unfit and utterly failed leader. |
Nonsense. Buhari does not need the totally discredited GEJ drumming up support for him. Global leaders have been falling over themselves to pledge their readiness to assist Buhari because of the very fact that GEJ was a horrendous leader who destroyed Nigeria to the extent many can now not wait for Buhari to take charge and begin the arduous rescue mission of returning Nigeria to her rightful glory. All I see is a shameless President who worsened Nigeria's problems immeasurably trying to become a Statesman by deception. The global community is not made up of mumus. They know what GEJ is and no last-minute acts of deception will change the fact he is one of the worst and most anti-people Nigerian Presidents ever. The international community know 'the score' and already understand that Buhari, unlike GEJ, is a sincere and real leader worth backing. |
HzRF:Ogbeni, stop chatting crap and mentioning irrelevant distractions. Go and see the political blogs of others to know how politics is discussed by your peers worldwide. You unexposed cavemen think Nairaland politics section is the norm merely because you have, due to lack of sophistication, turned it into a place to discuss Tonto Dike's bra? Unexposed cavemen celebrating their own bakwardness. Pathetic. |
BossTtdiamonds:Indeed. |
HzRF:You are an unexposed caveman so I don't blame you for thinking it is wrong to write more than one line in a politics blogs. I would suggest you get out of your cave to see what the political blogs of others look like. Mumu celebrating mediocrity and idiocy. |
dtruth3:I have stopped, several years ago, defending Nigerians publicly because of people like you and the way you lie gleefully. APC never made all the pledges you claim above and every honest person knows Buhari never said he will make 1 Naira = 1 dollar. When did APC promise 30,000 megawatts in 6 months when the Party has said it will first focus on security, the economy/unemployment and corruption? Buhari said his government will stabilize the Nigerian oil sector, which is very necessary considering what the PDP and their brand of corruption has reduced it to in the last 16 years, only for scumbugs like you to deliberately and mischievously revise his intention to claim he wants to stabilize world oil price !!! Why are you people so wickedly dishonest and such enemies of your own nation merely because of political affiliations? Is it creatures from pluto and Mars who will benefit if Buhari succeeds to make Nigeria on course to becoming as developed as the nations we all envy? Instead you all come here with your shameless lies daily. You guys might think you are 'catching fun' but the way you lie with ease, and the fact many of you do it or back those who do so, show others have a point when they say many Nigerians are criminal-minded liars, fraudsters, cheats and unprincipled elements happy to say/do whatever advances their agenda. I only hope Buhari leads well enough so that the societal decay that has bastardized the mindset and morals of people like you can be reversed to the glory of Nigeria. Why does Nigeria need external enmity from South Africans, Kenyans et al when she has people like you as her "citizens"? Nonsense !!! |
expertfingers:Indeed. Yet you have to accept that many here are cavemen, unexposed to the right way of doing things, thus you need to excuse them. |
IsraeliAIRFORCE:What lie? You think we are all like you who come here to automatically oppose and try to discredit what some posters say merely because they are in different political camps to us? Have I ever argued that the PDP and GEJ have never commissioned brilliant technocrats , on solution-driven committee work, who have then succeeded to make very good recommendations? The substantive point is that no PDP Government, since 1999, has had the political will to implement all the transformational recommendations handed to it because doing so will kill business-as-usual for the patrons and minions of the government. We even saw this of recent when GEJ totally ignored the recommendations of the Ribadu Petroleum task force which could have helped to transform our oil sector and position it to deliver highly productive results for Nigeria. This is why I used to have a good laugh when TANdroids obdurately focused on Buhari's certificate without understanding that Nigerians , out of bitter experience, know that the number one quality the Nigerian President of today needs is the unflinching political will that will see him, against the resistance of vested interests, deliver uncompromisingly for Nigerians. The President we need today, if he will be efficient and transformational, does not need a PHD from Oxford or Harvard. You will all soon see what sets Buhari apart from previous Presidents we have had and why Nigerians voted for him this time after trying all others who were merely pretenders. |
stevecantrell:All you are doing here is ranting without objectivity. Eko Atlantic City pre-dates Fashola's regime. It is not Fashola's project but Fashola had no logical reason to discontinue a private-sector funded project that extensive EIA (Environmental impact assessment) shows is entirely safe and viable. Unless you are more published and learned than the many world-class experts who had given the project the go-ahead then I suggest you stop making sentimental statements not supported by established facts. The EIA for the Eko Atlantic City project can be accessed using the link below for those who wish to conquer ignorance and unfounded hearsay. http://www.ekoatlantic.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/EkoAtlantic-EIA-Summary.pdf |
ifyan:I get your point which is valid and relevant but the Presidency has total discretion over many things that fall under the authority of the executive arm of government. We at least expect Buhari to do what must be done in his area of direct and supreme authority while he works with the legislative arm to get changes he wants for areas where the assent of the NASS is required. |
ki02020:Indeed. As some of us have always argued, the brilliant templates and recommendations, with which to transform Nigeria for the better, have always being available to all incoming governments since 1999. It is political will that has been lacking. This is what Nigerians are sure Buhari will bring that will set him apart from others before him to the benefit and glory of Nigeria. |

How are the mighty fallen. Have we not predicted that the PDP will be reduced to nothing without the Presidency? For all the do-or-die trouble these PDP Governors gave Amaechi, on behalf of the highly desperate GEJ, they now all return to bow and grovel. Like omenka and Eluala observed, those to be pitied are the Nigerians always willing to die for these politicians who remain about permanent interest while their supporters are fooled into thinking they are about permanent enmity. |
wummyanthoy:Not true. Those aware of the true inside picture know that Amosun fell out with Osoba because he would not play the politics of patronage the likes of Osoba are used to. Basically, Amosun felt he should not be blackmailed into accepting the age-old practice of giving Osoba et al unnofficial 'salaries' running into millions at stipulated intervals. Amosun's conviction was always that this is money better utilized developing Ogun State. They came for Amosun and not the other way round. The Governor had to stand up for himself and what he believed in. Osoba put Amosun in a position where the governor had no choice but to tell them to get lost with their blackmail. With the battle-line drawn, there was no going back. Osoba and his vengeful gang lost and the rest is history. Believe me when I say those who followed Osoba to SDP, and lost the official APC positions they had, are regretting it deeply today. |
SUBWAY101:Osoba led a gang that decided, at all cost, to take Amosun on when Tinubu had personally intervened to plead for peace and unity. Osoba and co would not accede to this request to find amicable ways of ending the face-off. They wanted to take Amosun down by force and they stuck a finger up at Asiwaju's mediation efforts. This was when it was decided that the Osoba SDP crew should do their worst. Tinubu had pitched his tent and strength behind Amosun in the whoel saga and this, to me, meant that Osoba et al will regret their actions and come back begging. I can tell you personally that those who lost their APC senatorial seats , after following the vengeful Osoba to the SDP, are grovelling before Tinubu and APC Party elders today. The reality is that no one will forget their disloyalty easily because it was of the dangerous kind that nearly destroyed the APC in Ogun State. They will all, including Osoba, be kept at arms length. |
lastpage:You are correct. Buhari indeed owes no one any apologies for what he did. A man who tried to snatch a brazen looter under the very nose of the Brits, to make him face justice in Nigeria, is a strong and fearless leader of unshakable will and conviction. The very sort Nigeria needs. If I remember correctly, the USA did not even keep the government of Pakistan in the information loop when they stormed a compound in the Country to take out Osama Bin Laden. Africa remains backwards partly because we have always betrayed the extremely strong-willed pro-people leaders (like Lumumba, Nkrumah, Sankara et al) who want a better deal for ordinary Africans when others do not want that. For example, Buhari wanted Dikko back to face trial and serve as a deterrent to others yet the UK refused to cooperate with Nigeria. If anything, we should praise Buhari's strong sense of justice that made him decide Dikko must face justice at all cost. Personally, I am extremely glad Buhari won and he has my support 100%. It is only in the world of ideologically confused people that a man who stole the future of many should be allowed to escape justice. Are the corrupt not sentenced to death in China because of the damage corruption does? |
All hail the General. A principled man determined to ensure wrongdoers are brought to justice wherever they run to hide. If only we had many more like Buhari then Nigeria would be a Paradise. |
modath:As we speak now, some of them have already made their way back to the APC to beg for forgiveness and gain re-admission into the Party. Naturally, many are no longer on speaking terms with Osoba. |
Correct talk. The Yoruba should not forget the role these turncoat played in trying to sell the SW and Nigeria into political bondage. They are all now defeated and discredited, along with the GEJ and PDP they sold their soul to, with nowhere to hide. No sensible Yoruba will reckon with them in future. |
