“At home, we have regrouped and we have put our people at alert. We will cripple the economy of the country not only in the creeks, but also on the nation’s territorial waters, no vessel will be allowed to enter Nigeria’s territorial waters.
“Let them not try anything. If they abuse Jonathan, there is no problem, he is their President but anything that will affect the interest of the Ijaw people and the interest of the entire people of the Niger Delta will be resisted at any cost.” Asari-Dokubo also vowed that the defeat of Jonathan in a free and fair election would trigger crisis.

How can anyone support the continuation of protection contracts costing Nigeria huge sums of money yet only delivering the biggest levels of oil theft ever recorded? Clearly the militants are 'eating' on both sides (money from government contract + selling bunkered oil) so why would any sane person argue in favor of a continuation of this deplorable status quo that is only benefiting crooks rather than Nigeria and Nigerians? It is like arguing in favor of the continuation of the fuel subsidy scam !!!!

It is the same as how NDDC leaders get a lot to transform the ND yet loot all moneys provided only to turn around duplicitously, so as to deceive their own people they deliberately and heartlessly impoverish , and begin shouting of "injustice against us the owners of the oil that feeds Nigeria". All good Nigerians, including ordinary Niger Deltans who are not gaining anything from the billions flying around, should welcome reforms that will truly work for all Nigerians and destroy, once and for all, the "business as usual" contraptions and arrangements destroying all sectors and corners of our nation. I don't know why Nigerians love arguing blindly even when facts stare them in their faces. Probably over a million discussion went on in cyberspace about "Buhari will never lead Nigeria again". Many braggarts, total weaklings and cowards in real life, gave the specific reason that the militants "supermen" behind GEJ will make life impossible for Buhari. Today same militants some Nigerians swore on have not only quickly accepted the loss of GEJ but have now largely pledged to work with Buhari.

Precisely same with this pipeline protection nonsense. For the absence of doubt, some Nigerians need to know that this is not done anywhere in the world. I.e formally contracting sensitive government responsibility to untrained and unlicensed militia groups. It is not done and the situation we have is a unique disgrace to Nigeria and our armed forces/Government security agencies. This reprehensible practice begun by GEJ, especially when it has led only to Nigeria witnessing the highest oil theft on record, is something Buhari must and will abrogate.

Nigerians and the entire international community are supporting Buhari because they want him to move us away from our current resemblance to Somalia towards a Nation where things work as they should. Buhari fully understands and is ready to defend the notion that individuals and militia groups must never hold a nation to ransom because that is the beginning of the end for said Nation. How long before these individuals and militia groups start claiming the Nigerian Government, which Buhari is head of, has no control over everything within their threshold and must thus stay away? Buhari is not ready to become President Al-Assad and he will not, without a fight, allow Nigeria to become Syria.

The kids can remain here and have their fun. We will see the reality that will play out. We will see whether Tompolo (if he decides to be a troublemaker) is a 'winsh' that turns into 4,000 version of himself as they claimed of Maitatsine or we will see if he is like the mortal Maitatsine Buhari wasted mercilessly in his unrelenting quest to bring peace, security and order to Nigeria.

Your write up would have been wonderful and timely if you published it 3 or 4 years ago to open up Jonathan's eyes and that of the so called south southerners "chopping money with him".

They say that charity begins at home but Jonathan began his own in the North.

With all the effort made by Amaechi's administration Port Harcourt still remain a slum because the state was really in the dark ages under Odili who focused more on sharing money to a few instead of developing the state.

I don't blame anybody for the woes of the east/south because even in a football match if you are awarded a penalty and you decide to shoot into your own goal, the referee will record it in favour of the opponents.

The last five years would have been a great opportunity to redress a lot of wrongs down south but Jonathan and his team of coconut heads including Orubebe (that has disgraced his family for eternity) decided to throw it to the dogs.

What did Orubebe achieve as a Minister of Niger Delta? Go and see the sham called east/west road without bridges in perennial problematic junctions like Rumuokoro and Tank junctions in Port Harcourt.

Only for Orubebe to come on international television and add insult to the injury we carried for 5 years. Jonathan's administration was a complete nonsense for the ss and se and nobody caused it for them. They (together with PEJ that lacked complete public decorum and seemed uncontrollable) brought it upon themselves.

I earnestly enjoin all Nigerians to pray for Buhari's administration to better the nation even if his charity begins from the north.

I actually believe that GEJ is an insincere chap who will say anything to get his way. To the list itself, I can tell you there is no politician called "Timpire Silver" as claimed. It is Timipre Sylva. Big differences like that show this is a list an uninformed mischief-maker, who cannot even spell the name of so-called appointees correctly, pulled out of his azz.
