People don't understand Nigeria politics, Amaechi is at the center of power yet you call him a loser.
Fayose has started begging,

Wike will soon call a reconcile with Amaechi.
You can always trust Tandroids, forever condemned to work with a sentimental outlook, to talk stupidly. Even Jonathan who is not a leader at all bullied many with the Presidency. We all know Buhari is a real leader feared by even those who think they are tough. While Buhari will be fair, he will certainly not watch Wike try any crap with Amaechi. These losers can console themselves but 'level don change' with GEJ and PEJ now gone. Those two were the power behind Wike who is now a new governor of a minority opposition Party. The likes of Wike and Fayose must never misbehave because Buhari, unlike GEJ, will not stand for anything that rubbishes the rule of law and the image of Nigeria. Amaechi is now the 'oga' of Wike.

I will never understand why Jonathanians and PDP fans fail to learn from history. Was Turai not once powerful through the Presidency to the extent the likes of Andoakaa were made powerful also? Where is Turai and Andoakaa today? Rather than praying for Wike, since Buhari has ominously said "we will investigate what happened in Rivers", these losers are here blabbing senselessly.

As for this here, I put it down to your 'illiteracy' and rank ignorance. Ondo is part of the SW and produces 12% of the total oil and gas output of Nigeria. Furthermore, olodo, you think it is oil from your region that has made the SW the fastest growing and number one regional economy in Nigeria and the region best placed to have one of the fastest growing economy in the world if it were an independent nation? You guys are amusing. Even when you turn 70, and with ten PHD's, you will still be regurgitating the lies they fed you in your village square as a boy rather than rising above sentiment to truly educate yourself so you can know and face reality as others see and deal with it .

The word ignoramus should officially be replaced by 'Mogidi' in the English language. Ignorant mumu, look at the report below to see it is not the SW you should be contriving your silly we "own oil and feed you" garbage against. We already have oil and much more that makes us best placed to be a thriving nation if on our own. You guys need to up your educational game because you are all so dull, villager-like and so 'yesterday' in thinking. What is the future of your region with lazy and ignorant mind like your speaking and probably making decisions for it?

Nigeria: One Country Four Economies Discussion Points
By
Falalu Bello, OFR

v I have been invited to contextually put Northern Nigeria amongst other regions in Nigeria and could easily have compared Northern economy and its Southern Counterpart. I have chosen not to go this route because, I want us all to see that geography, history and the Obasanjo administration and its reform agenda have created four (4) fairly distinct economies in Nigerian. We as Northerners need to appreciate where our economy currently stands amongst other economies in Nigeria so as to appreciate the kind of race we have to run if we are to remain relevant in Nigeria.

v On the basis of ownership and/or control of resources that make for economic development, post-Obasanjo Nigeria in terms of strength could easily be categorized into 4 economies as follows:

a) South West Economy;

b) South East plus Delta Economy;

c) Northern Economy; and

d) South South minus Delta Economy

v The four economies mentioned above are fairly distinct with each growing at its own pace. The South Western economy is growing at a faster rate than all followed by South East plus Delta economy whilst those of the North and South South minus Delta could at best be described as stagnant. A simple analysis of these four economies is given below:-

a) South West Economy

South Western Nigeria with a Land Mass of 76,852 square kilometres and population of 25.2 million today owns and/or control 60% of the nation’s industrial capacity, 44% of banking assets, 67% of insurance assets and is house to the nation’s three deep sea ports of Apapa, Tin Can Island and Roro; the busiest international airport of Ikeja, three thermal stations of Egbin, Papalanto and Omotosho. Today, its three major industrial estates of Agbara, Ikeja and Otta are all linked to gas under the West African gas pipeline plan and piping of gas is ongoing from Otta to Abeokuta. Added to these, the South Western population today is the most educated as western education came through there and education as a resource was democratized since the early sixties. Geographical location, democratization of western education, availability of resources enhanced in last 9 years and some empowerment during the Obasanjo administration have collectively enabled the South Western economy to rank as first of the four economies in Nigeria. Today, the South West as a region can boast of having a defined growing middle class and is perceived to have at least 20,000 of its indigenes with net worth of over N100m each. Take it out of Nigeria, the South West economy with is defined growing middle class and resources, will be one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

b) The South-East plus Delta

The South Easterners plus their cousins across the Onitsha bridge control commerce in all parts of Nigeria and are thus largely employed. The region has clusters of small scale industries around Nnewi and Aba. The banking consolidation has assisted these people to now have ownership and or control of over 50% of Nigerian banking assets. It also controls 21% of the nation’s insurance assets and 20% of industrial assets. With this development, this region which has not had a commanding control over Nigerian economy will certainly begin to do that now. Commercial activities backed by finance can only grow the economy of South-East plus Delta. The growing strength of financial muscle of this region has been aptly demonstrated by the recent licensing of Micro Finance Banks. Of the over 600 MFBs recently licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Anambra State alone had 74 whilst Yobe State had 1, Sokoto 5, Zamfara 6, etc. There exists also in this economy a middle class which will now grow itself in number and financial muscle and will almost certainly grow its economy inclusive particularly of small and medium sized industrial base.

c) The Northern Economy

The North which geographically is 719,435 Square Kilometers or 79% of Nigeria’s landmass and has 75 million or 53.6% of Nigeria’s population has its economy as a consequence of various reforms introduced, been totally grounded. Today, the North has ownership and/or control of no more than 3% of banking assets and 2% of insurance assets and 10% of industrial assets. True, the North has a huge landmass but this has remained under exploited due to jettisoning of time tested policies of price support (as a result of abolishing of marketing boards without putting alternatives) and abandonment of extension services and quality control. Also, the North has a huge population but the population has remained largely uneducated and/or half educated because of near failure of governance in certain States and Local Governments. Currently its most distinguishing characteristic is grinding poverty. Recent poverty statistics indicate that the poverty level of States in the North has been on the increase in the last 9 years and reached over 80%. Its two commercial and industrial nerve centers (Kano and Kaduna) have seen industrial capacity utilization decline to an all time low of less than 10%. The textile, automobile and beverages companies that thrived so impressively in the 1970s and 1980s have collapsed rendering thousands jobless. Although hydroelectricity is generated at Kainji Dam and in lesser quantities at Shiroro Gorge and at several smaller sites, the entire mechanisms are run on very obsolete equipment and the performance is consequently very epileptic and unsuitable for meaningful economic activity.

d) The South South minus Delta

The South South is largely in the creeks of Niger Delta and has therefore a small land mass of only 48,321 square kilometers and is populated by 13.6 Million people. Notwithstanding the fact that it is house to Nigerian Oil wealth, this region exclusive of oil company activities like the North is also backward economically. It controls no more than 3% of banking assets, 10% of insurance assets and no more than 10% of industrial assets on account of oil related industries that the indigenes do not control. Furthermore, its overstretched land mass has suffered considerable degradation and its aquatic life destroyed. As a region, its people and economy are worst off than the North as it lacks fresh environment, water and even good air to breath.

Shut up you effing loser. Do you know how undemocratically annoying , ignorant and vacuously arrogant your statement below sounds:

Nigeria is now: A country governed by an illiterate and chosen by illiterates, sad, sad, sad.
Nigerians, with many far better-read and more intelligent than you are, are now illiterates because they rejected 5 years of misrule? Whatever happened to accepting the will of the majority? Do you not know that this is the first thing that attests to the fact that you are indeed educated and not the illiterate you claim others are? A good and robust education will have instilled in you the meaning of democracy that has shaped the political evolution of man over the past decades. ultimately, you guys supporters are really bitter losers and enemies of Nigeria's progress more than you are anything else.

This is why I am glad the Nairaland picture expose episode happen because when people like you rant arrogantly I remember you are probably some unkept, koboless, homeless, unemployed and hungry fool with a cehap phone claiming to be a mansion-owning CEO and Professor on NL. You will be forced to swallow your hate when "illiterate" Buhari and the APC begin to show inspired leadership GEJ, with his 419 PDP, could never deliver if given 200 years in charge of Nigeria. Hateful mumu.

A congregation of sad, bitter losers who I am sure cannot be achievers in life given how they wallow in their loss instead of moving on, learning lessons and keeping their cards close to their chest. They lost the Presidency, lost many legislative seats, lost the majority, and thus the leadership, in both legislative houses and lost many States to APC. They failed to "capture" Lagos that they coveted above everything else on earth. Yet they want to console themselves they can take heart from Amaechi's candidate not winning Rivers State election. Are these guys sad or what. PDP was annihilated !!!! Period !!!!! There is no way to spin that reality. Furthermore Amaechi completed 2 full terms as governor and will now move on to a federal job. Bunch of losers .

Amaechi will be more than okay because he will be politically active as a member of the ruling Government and will still wield considerable influence in Rivers. Amaechi will become an SS hero, able to make or break Wike in 4 years time, if the APC further develop the SS/ND region in ways GEJ and his 'sons of the soil' thieving gang (Allison-Madueke, Orubebe et al) never did !!!!

The other thing you simplistic fools should know, while consoling yourselves pathetically, is that there are no permanent enemies in politics. Only permanent interest. OBJ was one of those who tried to frustrate Amaechi becoming Governor yet by 2012 OBJ was behind the Lamido-Amaechi ticket for the PDP Presidential and VP combo to replace GEJ and Sambo. With Mama jaguda Piss emasculated and with GEJ impotent and disinterested, what makes you losers think Wike can't make up with Amaechi to then defect to the APC? It is sad you supporters hate each others far more passionately and much more long term than your leaders do. It will get interesting soon because Wike will be without the influence of the Presidency behind him shortly.

You losers think every Nigerian politician is Jagaban the master of opposition politics and the author of the book "last man standing"? Just remember Gbawe told you bunch of losers this : 90% of current PDP political leaders, given their innate character and especially with APC leading Nigeria well, will be unable to play opposition politics for more than 2 years. You losers talking here better go and join the PDP to sustain and grow it instead of coming here to talk impotently because the current group of PDP political leaders will leave one by one to condemn the PDP to sure, slow and painful death. Better be up and doing, if you want the PDP to survive, instead of posting nonsense here because the PDP leaders on the ground will be too bust fighting for their own survival to give a toss about the PDP.

Jonathan's administration made his loyalists to be anti-buhari. You can't really blame the minister.

Don't be surprised you hear tomorrow that the Agricultural minister has been sacked because Buhari recommended his to ADB.

Jonathan is still mourning his loss and he will make sure others are affected by his loss to Buhari.
Great point Berem. Jonathan created and encouraged a 'them against us' style of enmity politics and he insisted his appointees show loyalty by always attacking his 'opponents'. The GEJ Presidency was wrapped in uncouthness and complete lack of decorum. This is why all those who worked for Jonathan, to include those Nigerians had always known to be refined, 'lost their way' a bit to begin speaking like touts all for the sake of trying to impress GEJ.

We can all remember Mauzu, PDP chairman, being shocked at the extent to which PDP members were encouraged to attack Buhari. Muazu would not be a part of it and this gave rise to his initial rift with GEJ. Anyway, I wish Adesina well in his future endeavours. He should know he is now under a government that will not victimise anyone for any reason. All Nigerians, under GMB, will be encouraged to be the best they can be whether they be Christian, Muslim, Animist, Yoruba, Fulani, Ijaw or Igbo.

No doubt tinubu was largely instrumental to buhari's election, but in due time, I repeat u will be reminded how the northerner thinks. Your naivety worries me.
Yes a long post neede to show what you are and that you are fooling no one. Tinubu has never told you or anyone he is seeking to control Abuja. That is a figment of your bigoted and hateful imagination. While Tinubu was fighting for democracy your myopic, irresponsible and worthless leaders were busy with their AGIP ("any government in power" ) behaviour as usual. Yet you will never leave the man alone.

I ask you again, are you not ashamed you have dedicated so many of your posts to talking about misfortune befalling Tinubu while you have nothing to say about the misrulers in your region? The jungle is maturing and Tinubu is about to be reminded the owners of the game called Nigeria. Nigeria is too big to be treated like Lagos state. Buhari will always treat OBJ with respect . OBJ we know is not an admirer or respecter of tinubu. Game on
You people can remain in your room concocting fantasies. You can see Tinubu as negatively as you want to and wish ill-fortune upon him all you like. We know you hate Tinubu unobjectively, even as he has never wronged you as your own worthless SE leaders have, because of your myopic mindset and prejudice. That is your prerogative. Yet the rest of the objective world view Tinubu a sagacious, highly talented and very effective politician. Buhari would not be President today if he did not change his rigid ways and outlook to understand that men like Tinubu are very important, in the Nigerian political 'environment', for political success. Buhari will know OBJ has his uses as well.

Buhari does not have to side with either Tinubu or OBJ even as it is important to remind you that the President-elect cannot even be put in this position specifically because Tinubu and OBJ are on good terms today. If it makes you feel good to think Buhari will help you 'deal with' Tinubu, at the instigation of OBJ, then be my guest because this, expectedly, is the mental limitations of people like you who support bitter yet futile politics of enmity. You will never understand, always to your own political detriment, that "there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics, but permanent interests".

Buhari has learnt his lessons well and I can bet any money that the General will always do all he can to keep one of the finest brains and Nigeria's best political strategists on his side i.e Tinubu. Buhari is not foolish enough to think it will always be plain sailing for him. He will always need to keep the SW 'sweet'. Ask GEJ. With that in mind, your guess is as good as mine as per the man who will unanimously be adjudged the most influential politician in South-West Nigeria. You have been telling us for the past 16 years Tinubu will soon see this and that yet you forget even his Northern peers genuinely respect him. It is only you and yours who hate Tinubu blindly and wish him ill. The rest of Nigeria, and the world, is in awe of the man. You are not even ashamed of yourself for focusing most of the small number of threads you have here on Tinubu. That is how you people hate and hound the leaders of others blindly while neglecting your misrulers in your region responsible for your misery.

If Obasanjo and Tinubu are the kind of people that Buhari wants to surround himself with, then in 2019 we would be screaming "CHANGE" once again.
When will you people learn to think critical and develop sophistication? This is why supporters of Buhari, like Abduljabbar4, now show open disdain and disregard for the opinions of "well-wishers" like you wrapped as "constructive criticism". Buhari has said it many times, correctly in my opinion, that him and his Party will not take it upon themselves to judge others arrogantly to declare who can or cannot approach Buhari and the APC. The simple message is "let them come and we shall deal with them on our terms, according to our own standards and the way we want to do things". This is because Buhari and the APC realise that the effort must be made to carry others along for the greater good of society.

If that explanation is not clear enough to people like you and you must keep talking as if Buhari must have OBJ, Tinubu, Bode George, Danjuma, IBB et al executed publicly then I will kindly ask you to shut up. Your opinion is not needed. This is not 1983 and Buhari cannot go around behaving in a draconian manner. The likes of OBJ are old friends, affiliates and acquaintances. When Buhari begins to compromise himself in favour of the likes of OBJ, and to the detriment of Nigeria, then you can talk. In any case, you will be first to say "dictator is back" if it is made public that Buhari shunned and disgraced OBJ. As long as Buhari remains on the side of Nigerians always then I have no problem with who he meets.

If some discredited and attention-seeking hack starts a thread aimed at casting doubt over the viability of one the campaign pledges of Buhari and the APC then don't take such personal to the extent you feel duty-bound to respond and defend Buhari/APC.

One thing I want most APC fans to understand is that it is not decent or objective PDP supporters talking right now i.e before the Buhari APC Government is formally sworn in on May 29th. Most sensible PDP supporters, even if they believe the APC will fail, will at least wait till Buhari is sworn in, to note the composition of his team, before saying "I told you so".

We are then left with the reality that most PDP supporters currently commenting daily to insult Buhari and cast doubt/aspersion over his leadership of Nigeria, which has not begun, are not even political animals with the progress of Nigeria guiding their criticism since they don't even understand the basic rules of playing political opposition. These guys are merely bitter, hateful and mainly ethnocentric folks who are nothing but enemies of Nigeria's progress. They passionately supported and clannishly hoped for the return of the profligate and very corrupt GEJ who was on course to turning Nigeria into a bankrupt Somali yet they are now keen to portray Buhari, not even sworn in yet, as failed. These are very wicked, attention-seeking and vainglorious souls and I would urge you and others to begin ignoring them. You cannot be in your own car in the driving seat only for some ungrateful passenger to be telling you how fast to drive. You simply ignore such a passenger or tell them to get out. You don't start explaining or justifying yourself to them.

Obiagelli, with all due respect, why did you bother starting this thread? You seem to be one of the APC supporters who appear bothered by what the bitter and malevolent enemies of Nigeria's progress, parading themselves as PDP supporters, have to say. I once told you before the election to ignore them because most are bitter and twisted people who wanted GEJ to win so he could continue destroying Nigeria. You argued that their lies need to be countered lest such be construed as truth which may harm the chances of the APC. What is your excuses now? The APC has won and no APC supporter needs to get in the sewer with these PDP rats anymore. Do you think their hateful heart is open to be convinced by anything you have to say in defence of the plans of the APC? You do not owe them any explanation. Let them think and say the worst. Buhari and tne APC will only disgrace them again and again.

We have now all seen that these PDP Nairalanders are mainly bitter, uncouth, hateful and malevolent losers who only want to engage in Buhari-baiting of APC fans here. Many are irredeemable haters and you will get nothing but insults from them, as you do here, simply because you care about the opinion of losers when you do not have to anymore. Do not let them percieve you a "weak link" they can target and bully. With this thread for example, you have only given them their much desired congregation ground to fight APC here because that is what they badly need to sooth the bitter taste of defeat in their hateful mouths. I would suggest you grow a thick skin and begin ignoring or mocking them as some of us who know their game do. Silence is the best answer for a fool. Especially hateful fools who are in pain.
