You can say that again. 2015 election has polarised us along ethnic lines further and aligned south south and south east the more.

while the north and south west holds political power. The south south and south east will glory in their economic relevance in Nigeria.

GMB must take a drastic step to heal every wound. they can make his govt crawling with crisis.

no good leader will pray for ethnic crisis. the result is better imagined
Why spread fallacies that are not based on facts and are just figment of lazy and wild imaginations of clearly ignorant people? Don't believe the noise and lies of those suffering from inferiority complex and must therefore over-compensate with outright lies and fallacies. Don't let them deceive you with their empty lies borne of their penchant for empty chest-beating. As per "economic relevance" the SW is still number 1 and that is a statement of fact. The problem is that many from the SE and SS have spread the lies of "we own this and that" and "Yorubas/SW contribute nothing to Nigeria" so much that the average uninformed Nigerian now believe these completely false statements, uttered by mischievous and insecure empty barrels, are correct.

I would advise you acquaint yourself with the truth ASAP and stop believing the lies of empty braggarts and liars. It is the SW the part in bold in your post apply to. That is the fact supported by reality and not the fantasy-driven yet ultimately empty/discredited "we control this and that" braggadocio many bore us with daily in cyberspace.

Nigeria: One Country Four Economies Discussion Points
By

Falalu Bello, OFR

On the basis of ownership and/or control of resources that make for economic development, post-Obasanjo Nigeria in terms of strength could easily be categorized into 4 economies as follows:

a) South West Economy;

b) South East plus Delta Economy;

c) Northern Economy; and

d) South South minus Delta Economy

v The four economies mentioned above are fairly distinct with each growing at its own pace. The South Western economy is growing at a faster rate than all followed by South East plus Delta economy whilst those of the North and South South minus Delta could at best be described as stagnant. A simple analysis of these four economies is given below:-

a) South West Economy

South Western Nigeria with a Land Mass of 76,852 square kilometres and population of 25.2 million today owns and/or control 60% of the nation’s industrial capacity, 44% of banking assets, 67% of insurance assets and is house to the nation’s three deep sea ports of Apapa, Tin Can Island and Roro; the busiest international airport of Ikeja, three thermal stations of Egbin, Papalanto and Omotosho. Today, its three major industrial estates of Agbara, Ikeja and Otta are all linked to gas under the West African gas pipeline plan and piping of gas is ongoing from Otta to Abeokuta. Added to these, the South Western population today is the most educated as western education came through there and education as a resource was democratized since the early sixties. Geographical location, democratization of western education, availability of resources enhanced in last 9 years and some empowerment during the Obasanjo administration have collectively enabled the South Western economy to rank as first of the four economies in Nigeria. Today, the South West as a region can boast of having a defined growing middle class and is perceived to have at least 20,000 of its indigenes with net worth of over N100m each. Take it out of Nigeria, the South West economy with is defined growing middle class and resources, will be one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

b) The South-East plus Delta

The South Easterners plus their cousins across the Onitsha bridge control commerce in all parts of Nigeria and are thus largely employed. The region has clusters of small scale industries around Nnewi and Aba. The banking consolidation has assisted these people to now have ownership and or control of over 50% of Nigerian banking assets. It also controls 21% of the nation’s insurance assets and 20% of industrial assets. With this development, this region which has not had a commanding control over Nigerian economy will certainly begin to do that now. Commercial activities backed by finance can only grow the economy of South-East plus Delta. The growing strength of financial muscle of this region has been aptly demonstrated by the recent licensing of Micro Finance Banks. Of the over 600 MFBs recently licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Anambra State alone had 74 whilst Yobe State had 1, Sokoto 5, Zamfara 6, etc. There exists also in this economy a middle class which will now grow itself in number and financial muscle and will almost certainly grow its economy inclusive particularly of small and medium sized industrial base.

c) The Northern Economy

The North which geographically is 719,435 Square Kilometers or 79% of Nigeria’s landmass and has 75 million or 53.6% of Nigeria’s population has its economy as a consequence of various reforms introduced, been totally grounded. Today, the North has ownership and/or control of no more than 3% of banking assets and 2% of insurance assets and 10% of industrial assets. True, the North has a huge landmass but this has remained under exploited due to jettisoning of time tested policies of price support (as a result of abolishing of marketing boards without putting alternatives) and abandonment of extension services and quality control. Also, the North has a huge population but the population has remained largely uneducated and/or half educated because of near failure of governance in certain States and Local Governments. Currently its most distinguishing characteristic is grinding poverty. Recent poverty statistics indicate that the poverty level of States in the North has been on the increase in the last 9 years and reached over 80%. Its two commercial and industrial nerve centers (Kano and Kaduna) have seen industrial capacity utilization decline to an all time low of less than 10%. The textile, automobile and beverages companies that thrived so impressively in the 1970s and 1980s have collapsed rendering thousands jobless. Although hydroelectricity is generated at Kainji Dam and in lesser quantities at Shiroro Gorge and at several smaller sites, the entire mechanisms are run on very obsolete equipment and the performance is consequently very epileptic and unsuitable for meaningful economic activity.

d) The South South minus Delta

The South South is largely in the creeks of Niger Delta and has therefore a small land mass of only 48,321 square kilometers and is populated by 13.6 Million people. Notwithstanding the fact that it is house to Nigerian Oil wealth, this region exclusive of oil company activities like the North is also backward economically. It controls no more than 3% of banking assets, 10% of insurance assets and no more than 10% of industrial assets on account of oil related industries that the indigenes do not control. Furthermore, its overstretched land mass has suffered considerable degradation and its aquatic life destroyed. As a region, its people and economy are worst off than the North as it lacks fresh environment, water and even good air to breath.

v Geography, history and particularly the reform agenda of Obasanjo’s regime have created above very dangerous economic structure in Nigeria. By design or by accident Northerners and South Southerners as peoples and regions have been made third and fourth class citizens. We may well choose to ignore these happenings and pretend that they have not happened but doing so will be at the peril of the Nigerian Polity. It is indeed in the interest of the South Westerners and the South Easterners for some affirmative actions to be taken to redress the situation else there will be no real peace in this country moving forward. The so called “religious disturbances” in the Northern States and the Port Harcourt conundrum of kids of less than 15 years carrying guns and terrorizing the population will not stop until these imbalances are consciously addressed and redressed. As the saying goes “where the poor does not sleep because of hunger, the rich too will not sleep because of robbery”.

v To complement whatever redress may be agreed to by the polity to help the grinding poverty and unemployment in the North and South South economies we the peoples of these regions need to also help ourselves as nobody will develop our regions for us. I see this Conference as one of the avenues that my be used to chart a course for the North. Undoubtedly, reviving collapsed and collapsing industries and building new ones will help. To be able to achieve these and grow the Northern economy, we MUST:

If you mean well for the country then you hope the incoming administration succeeds
Of course !!!! If a President fail, as is the case with GEJ, is it not ordinary Nigerians who suffer? Of the over 15,000.00 of our fellow Nigerians murdered in cold blood by Boko Haram, how many are prominent leaders and top politicians? Who is suffering the harsh results , i.e worsening darkness, of the 419 crony capitalism scam GEJ cobbled together and presented as "power privatisation"? When some people begin to say they are thinking of the failure a President-elect, yet to be sworn in, you see they are wicked enemies of Nigeria's progress who care not a jot for the ordinary man who is always the biggest victim of leadership misrule.

GEJ remained clueless from acting Presidency till today . So why should anybody except the hypocrites and tribalists shy away from calling a spade a spade. Having Jonathan as a president was an unmitigated catastrophe for those 6 years. Well meaning Nigerians want to pick up the pieces and you are spewing rubbish here. Nonsense.
Don't mind the bigoted and hateful fool who is averse to the truth and would rather insult other balanced Nairalanders. I love Nigeria more than any President whether Yoruba, Hausa or Ijaw. This is why I was personally one of OBJ's critics while he was President. It is the same reason I was critical of Yar Adua and then GEJ. The biggest and most fundamental problems of Nigeria, i.e those that continue to prevent us from developing, are known and well-documented. If a President comes in and fails to tackle those problems then I will criticise and condemn that President and his government. As simple as that.

The progress of Nigeria is far more important to me than the image or dignity of any leader. Nigerian leaders are all very privileged and well-rewarded so I don't own them kind words when they are misruling our nation and causing misery for millions. Lead well and you get my support. Lead badly, with millions of lives at stake, then I will condemn your leadership. Shame our feudal, ethnocentric and unsophisticated fellow Nigerians like Adino cannot understand this and must insult anyone criticising their Kinsman President even if those criticism are completely valid.

Look at this agbaya who cannot even reason as effectively as the average 5 year old kid. You keep going on about "margin" foolishly without understanding that the most important consideration about this election, vis a vis the SW, is that Buhari won 5 SW States out of 6 in 2015 when he did not even win a single SW state in 2011. Conversely GEJ won 5 out of 6 SW States in 2011 and yet could only dismally win one state in 2011. Those are the sort of analytically salient development Al Makura is talking about and not your idiotic, empty and senseless rants that mean absolutely nothing. Sore loser. We know giving credit to the Yorubas and their "Svengali" is something you find hard to do but the world has done this for us already so GOD (go and die).

‘Jagaban’ cements reputation as Nigeria’s Svengali in Buhari win
William Wallis in Lagos

From his redoubt on Bourdillon road in upmarket Lagos, a man popularly known as the Jagaban cemented his reputation this week as a political Svengali with the role he played helping to orchestrate the downfall of Nigeria’s sitting president, Goodluck Jonathan.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose name comes from a chieftaincy title bestowed on him by the town of Borgu, in Nigeria’s north, was from 1999 to 2007 the provincial governor of the country’s economic engine, the coastal state and megacity of Lagos.

The political godfather of Nigeria’s south west, Mr Tinubu’s unlikely alliance with the austere former military ruler, now president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, made possible the first opposition victory in Nigeria’s electoral history.
“There needed to be an alignment for us to be able to stare down the government in power. There needed to be a catalyst for that alignment. He was the most prepared for that,” says one of Mr Tinubu’s lieutenants.
The manner in which that alignment evolves, is now among the big questions Nigerians are asking when considering the likely character of the incoming administration.

Described as “deeply Machiavellian” and a “master strategist” by one of his party peers, the Jagaban has cannily built a political empire among ethnic Yorubas in Lagos and the south west, as formidable, according to allied politicians, as that of Obafemi Awolowo, who led Nigeria’s second largest ethnic block at independence.

He did so over the past decade and a half, having survived a string of bruising turf wars with the ruling People’s Democratic party, which was forged from political networks across Nigeria during the 1998 transition from military rule.
PDP barons had become so adept since at oiling the electoral machine, that they sometimes boasted the party would still be in power in 100 years.
It was the merger of the Action Congress last year, with the party of the president-elect, strong in the north but weak elsewhere, that made it possible for the opposition to challenge and ultimately defeat the PDP. The two parties between them controlled block support in both of Nigeria’s most populous regions; Mr Tinubu’s in the south west and Gen Buhari’s in the north west.
Leading opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Mohammadu Buhari speaks during an interview on February 6, 2015 in Abuja. Nigeria's main opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari on Friday told AFP he was expecting to win next week's presidential election by a wide margin, despite talk of a close race. The February 14 poll, in which he is challenging incumbent Goodluck Jonathan, has been seen as too close to call, leading to a possible run-off if neither man secures a first-round majority.

“I am in the same union as Buhari to salvage a Nigeria that is drifting and that has faced a storm of economic deterioration,” Mr Tinubu said at a celebration party at his house this week. Outside the formidable gates, a mob of hundreds of young men ecstatic at the success of their city patron, were shouting “Jagaban”.

Yet the Jagaban is a controversial figure, resented by some for the dominating machine politics he has brought to the south west, but adored by others, especially in Lagos, who see his hand behind the remarkable renaissance of the city in the past 15 years.
Once a byword for urban decay, Lagos has begun to thrive under Babatunde Fashola, who Mr Tinubu promoted as his successor as governor, and then sometimes shielded from the rough and tumble of politics as he went about reviving the city with technocratic verve.
Mr Tinubu attributes the success of the campaign, the most disciplined by an opposition group in Nigeria’s history and sophisticated in terms of the data monitoring it used to keep on top of events, to compromise.

“Our defined objective is on the plank of a progressive social welfare programme. Once we agreed to that then we consolidated the merger,” he says, of last year’s deal, which superseded a less formal alliance that came unstuck in 2011 polls.

(AP Photo/Ben Curtis)
Gen Buhari faces daunting task of tackling slowing economic growth and controlling inflation

Against expectations the party survived a tough contest for the leadership, which saw Mr Tinubu’s candidate, a Christian pastor and Lagos lawyer, Yemi Osinbajo, win the vice-presidential slot.
The future of the union could now determine how effective Nigeria’s incoming government is in office.
Some leading members of the victorious opposition worry about the compatibility of Mr Tinubu and Gen Buhari and about the influence the former might wield, without any formal position in the party, in the forthcoming battle over federal government appointments.
In the immediate future, Mr Tinubu is likely to be distracted by his battle to maintain influence in Lagos, where his preferred candidate for governor is facing a tough challenge in the polls on April 11. “There is no need for a power struggle. We are concentrating our efforts in reversing the decay,” Mr Tinubu says.

He is not a politician who is insecure. According to both detractors and fans, one of his attributes, rare among older politicians in Nigeria, has been to spot talent and nurture it. He absorbed this lesson according to one ally, when working at ExxonMobil.
“We bring talent to governance. We don’t want Lilliputians. We want people who can think and act,” he said. Among the bright, young crowd in his small, home office in attendance, were perhaps some of Nigeria’s future leaders.

All the malevolence you lot are wishing upon the Yorubas will never come to pass. The North and the SW will always find ways to collaborate productively because both region understand that "there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. Only permanent interest". It is vindictive, sentimental and bitter folks like you, totally driven by hate and obsessed with an agenda of vengeance against others, who fail to get this concept. After playing politics of bitterness and ethnic enmity that got you nowhere you are still hating on the Yorubas instead of learning your lessons and amending your ways. Now Amosun has 'wasted' them all while Osoba who never had much to lose, because he was not in any public office, can begin trying to scheme his way back into Tinubu and Amosun's good books.

Purge yourslef from hate and bigotry, this is 2015, Nigeria is moving forward. Change is here
This is one thing, electorally important above everything else, these vengeful haters and enemies of Nigeria's progress fail to factor into their thinking. Politics is officially defined as "the activities associated with the governance of a country or area". If GEJ has failed in this regard, which the entire world agrees he has, then why not give the new government a chance?

It is very obvious, as Ilugunboy said, that some folks will continue to constitute themselves to be enemies of Nigeria's progress while they side with everything, however evil or malevolent, they feel may aid their "chop sand" vengefulness against the SW and the North. Is it GEJ that callously watched over 15,000.00 Nigerians die that any sensible SE or SS Nigerian should be supporting passionately to the extent of insulting the North and SW for wanting change from this horrible status quo?

Fast forward 4 years, during which GEJ went on to fail horribly to be described as "the worst Nigerian President ever", you still gave him nearly 100% of your vote.

Yet you have the nerve to call ilugunboy a "bigot" when he voted GEJ in 2011. Who is the bigot between Ilugunboy who gave GEJ a chance in 2011 and decided to vote for change in 2015, after GEJ failed horribly, and the person who cast his vote for GEJ in 2011 along ethnic and religious lines and still went out to vote for GEJ in 2015 despite how our President has unravelled as the most incompetent leader in the world who is happy to watch Nigerians die in their thousands while him and his fellow crooks loot our commonwealth and buy private jets? My deluded friend, you and others like you are the bigots. You are enemies of Nigeria's progress driven by the "chop sand syndrome" Osita Okechukwu talked about.

http://saharareporters.com/2014/08/03/re-why-pdp-may-win-again-osita-okechukwu

One would like to start by saying that Edozie falls into the category of Chop-Sand-Syndrome, found mostly among my Igbo brothers, whose trajectory is without scant regard that Ndigbo like Dr Ogbonia Onu, are prominent in their own right in All Progressives Congress (APC), deliberately define the APC as Yoruba and Hausa party. This is wrong.

The Chop-Sand-Syndrome proponents in the South East, will tell you that APC being championed by Yorubas and Hausas means that there is nothing in the kitty for Ndigbo; whether President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, is performing or not.

They will wittingly or unwittingly ignore the fact the shortest route to president of Igbo extraction is APC; for if President Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, wins 2015 presidential election, the earliest an Igbo can be president is 2027. But if APC wins the earliest for the Igbos is 2023, this is because of the moral weight of zoning convention that is South-North primed.

Their basic canvass is that it is better for Jonathan to continue, whether he is clueless, runs unclean government or cannot get things done. When you tell them that Nigeria has never been as divided as today; and hence needs urgently to be fixed, whether a Christian, Muslim, Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba, since our dear president cannot fix electricity, modern rail lines, East-West road or the monster of insurgency.

Their answer is anchored on ancient prejudice arising from the Biafran civil war. They will tell you that Ndigbo have been, 'Chopping Sand' post civil war and if Jonathan's victory can make their brother contemporaries in the Nigerian project to 'Chop Sand' that will not be a bad idea.

You're right, I patiently endured the agonising length of the rant (as you aptly put it), in order to find what the divisive statements of Buhari were, but I found non! Like you, I wish these folks get over their defeat and move on, but in spite of their poorly veiled anti-national pretences, I acknowledge their rights to express their stupidity. This is where you and I are in divergence. One thing I'm certain about is that Buhari will conduct himself in a manner that exudes national, as opposed to ethnic patriotism, and these guys will be greatly disappointed after Buhari's appointed term. I'm certain of this because his conducts and utterances are telling enough.

I think the ultimate way to silence these shallow ideologues and rabble-rousers is to give them the platform and the microphones to spew their rubbish. Let them face the public with their alternative propositions, and this is where their perfunctory bums will be exposed. Buhari shouldn't jail them, he should invite the loudest of them to a national debate. That's how the British mainstream parties silenced Nick Griffin of the BNP. He made a lot of noise and got people on board. They invited him to a national debate on BBC and his ideas were exposed for the shallow garbage that they are. I recommend you watch it at your time.
Indeed. One thing these hateful elements cannot understand is that Buhari is not here to focus on jailing people. With the fine minds behind Buhari, he will be the father of modern Nigeria, like Mustafa Kemal Ataturk became to Turkey, who will initiate many reforms that will set our nation on the path of greatness. This is what will shame and forever haunt the haters and anti-Nigerian elements who , despite losing to the majority, cannot understand that democratic governance demands that they should get behind the choice of the people, who has the legitimate mandate to lead Nigeria, and give him a chance to deliver.

No surprise this is your "concern". Why not hope and pray Buhari succeeds as should normally be the case for balanced citizens who mean well for Nigeria? With 'citizens' like you why does Nigeria need external enemies?

To all you hypocrites and bigots, it is now obvious the goal was just to remove GEJ. apc never had an agenda for Nigeria, they never had a plan. Check the news and discover that apc plan is to continue with GEJ legacy, to continue with transformation agenda.
What do you shameless lot have to say about this, the same people that said GEJ did not do anything. Karma is your portion for this grand treachery against The True Nigerian Spirit.
The govt. of olodo cattle rearer will get it in more severe measure than was given to GEJ.
The rants of pain, bitterness and bigotry. Abeg shut up. The APC that is planning massive cuts and drastic reduction of waste is now "continuing" GEJ's legacy? You guys are not only prejudiced and very bitter but you are shameless liars also. The Buhari Government will disgrace you all by leading Nigeria into an age of success and previously unmatched reform. Because of the character of Buhari, even an APC contestant for the speaker of the lower house has pledged to champion the legal framework to enact reduced pay and remuneration for legislators.

Did you see anything like that under GEJ when all politicians were generally encouraged to loot Nigeria mercilessly and impoverish Nigerians? Continue to fool yourself. You are not fooling us. Buhari will shame you bitter, ethnocentric and wickedly vengeful bigots. Those of us who love Nigeria and want her progress will get behind Buhari and the new government. We will support them to do well and criticise them when they err or lose their ways. Continue seething with hate in your smelly and pathetic corner.

These guys are still seething with unnecessary anger...whether you like it or not Nigerians will support Buhari....there is no any other alternative, unless you are a saboteur.
To be honest, the conduct of some Nigerians, especially from the SE, has been shocking and disgraceful. They have shown they are guided only by their hatred of others and do not mean well for Nigeria. I was an unrelenting critic of GEJ before the 2011 election. Yet I wished him well as soon as he won and pledged support for his government if he justifies his mandate by leading Nigeria well. I did not do this because I loved or believed in GEJ. I did it because I love and believe in Nigeria and understood that my interest in the progress of Nigeria compels me to back GEJ.

We have not seen such gracious and pro-Nigerian behaviour from our SE and SS brothers. Just bitter and hateful diatribe all over the place, to include wishing the SW evil, that makes it appear these folks are very petty people interested more in satisfying their primitive hatred and lust for vengeance against others above getting behind the effort to usher in a better Nigeria to the glory of us all. Do some of these bigots understand that many worldwide have had stable electricity for over 50 years while we remain in the stone ages? Rather than face such pivotal issues of unacceptable underdevelopment it is the ethnocentric fight against the SW and North some carry on their head as if this is the most important thing in the world. Pathetic. Yet it could be a good thing as objective and progress-minded Nigerians can now see the hate-driven and saboteur mentality drivjng some of our "brothers" . This will enable those who mean well for Nigeria to see they must protect themselves better .

After all that rant, I couldn't see a single line the article quoted coming from the general that suggests he's "drawn a battle line with the ss and se". These guys have chosen to continue trudging along the same trajectory even after the election; causing ethnoreligious disharmony and tension. How does calling an election a sham amount to drawing a battle line??

The ordinary hardworking folks who bust their humps daily under the scorching sun in the SS and SE should be mindful of the condemnable antics of these greedy politicians that claim to represent their interests when in fact they value the lives of the pets they have at home more than that of an average South southerner or South easterner. They've completely lost out in the power struggle and the only way they can remain relevant is ensuring that everyone from that region irrespective of social class, sees the government at the centre as an enemy! Even in Abia, APGA is calling for an outright cancellation of the polls because they were a complete "sham". What are they gonna say about that? That Buhari instigated APGA to do so??

If I were Buhari, I'd try to ensure a bill is passed that would criminalise utterances like this. If you can't live in unity irrespective of your tribe or where you come from, remain in your house and interact with only your family or spew garbage in public and have your bigoted asss hauled into jail. Useless fools acting like victims while promoting their uncanny agenda.
Well-said bro. This is precisely what I have been saying to SE and SS posters on several threads the past few days. Whatever happened to putting Nigeria first? Jonathan had a lot of critics from the SW and North, including me, going into the 2011 election. As soon as he won most of us wished him well and implored he led Nigeria properly so that our Nation can make progress which would be to the glory and happiness of all of us. Check the NL archives if you doubt this.

Contrast this with how most SE and SS commentators continje to spew hatred against Buhari and the APC and it is becoming obvious that many from those region are rooted in the unobjective, petty and malevolent hatred of the SW and the North to the extent they cannot even 'sheat their sword' for the sake of Nigeria's progress. Jonathan had his shot and failed miserably. Nigerians , in the majority, have elected a new President yet primordial hate will not allow many in the SE and SS to respect the will of the majority and get behind the new President and government. Really pathetic.

The bigots in the SE and SS, because they talk loudest, are doing a great job defining those regions as anti-progressive, uncooperative, hateful, unreasonable, petty, ethnocentric, prejudiced, disrespectul and irredeemable enemies of Nigeria's progress who cannot rise above their primitive hatred of the North and SW. History will judge the conduct of all Nigerian ethnic groups at crucial stages in our history when it would have been helpful for all Nigerians to come together for the greater good of the nation yet some could only be hateful, vengeful and perpetually bitter.

Allison-Madueke will certainly not escape scrutiny whether present or in absentia. Much of the looting GEJ and the PDP got away with was organized by her. For example, she and GEJ organised the fuel subsidy scam and benefited massively from it. It is only the NNPC, headed by Allison-Madueke, and the FG, headed by GEJ, who are the authorities able to grant licence to marketers wishing to operate as approved fuel importers. When these licences then end up in the hands of people with no capacity, facilities or experience to operate in the fuel importation sector then you can do the math to understand that GEJ and Allison-Madueke systematically 419ned Nigeria through their crooked minions like Ifeanyi Ubah. By the way, fuel subsidy scammers go here wien. The ones unconnected to politics and enjoying no immunity will see their case files dusted-off and represented before serious judges. That Ibori-style lack of seriousness with their prosecution will be gone and the judiciary will sit up. Fayemi, speaking for Buhari about the APC's policy drive, has already indicated that our VP-elect, Prof Osinbajo, will use his wealth of experience as a lawyer and public commissioner to 'ginger up' the judicial efforts of Nigeria and I know what this means.

In short this is an internal Party matter. How then does this concern OBJ who is not formally an APC member? How also does it make sense to mention Atiku and Tinubu, in relation to diversion of campaign funds, when those two are some of the biggest donors to the APC? You are right that they are nursing the pain of electoral loss hence the reason they are all talking crap that makes no sense.

As part of efforts to show to Nigerians how transparent the All Progressive Congress (APC) administration is going to be, the leadership of the party on Tuesday sacked three of its chieftains for diverting campaign funds
From the above, let us take the three names you mentioned beginning with OBJ.

Is Obasanjo now a card-carrying member of the APC for APC Party leaders to "start with him"?

Atiku and Tinubu are two of the biggest donor to APC/Buhari's campaign so what concerns them with "diverted campaign funds"?

You guys should read articles properly and fully understand what is stated therein before you propagate arguments that makes no sense and is unrelated to the topic under discussion. Frankly you are the one talking senselessly like a "zombie follower".

What I cannot even stand from some of our SE brethren is how they are fond of lying to themselves and the world brazenly and without shame over events we all witnessed in 3D !!!!!! How long ago did they make it a point to shove it down the throat of all Nigerians that they have unapologetically rejected the APC with slogans such as this obtained from the thread below where Muazu, PDP chairman, openly bragged that "APC Has No Chance In Igboland"? We are not even a month past the elections and the shocking revisionism and blatant lies begin.

Imagine saying the APC is now becoming a Northern Party when the Party is actually the majority Party in the SW and only absent in the SE and SS because the people of those region made it clear they wanted nothing to do with the Party. I really don't know how some people can be such dishonourable liars always fond of dishonestly blaming others for their woe. Real men take actions and stand by those actions. These antics from some SE Nairalanders is really pathetic because you acted in a deliberate and myopic manner and now that the outcome of their deliberate action is not in their favour, i.e GEJ lost, they begin blaming the Yorubas specifically, wishing evil upon them and playing victim all over the place.

Pathetic and I would hope some upright Igbos here should show leadership by calling some of their lying, hateful and revisionist kinsmen to order because this is getting too much. Bro, the whole thing is so annoying. The election has been won and lost. Instead of all Nigerians, whether on the winning or losing side, to move on and wish election winners well , for the benefit of Nigeria, all some bitter, ethnocentric and very wicked elements are interested in doing is telling lies, engaging in shameless revisionism and wishing evil upon the SW. Look at the clown who began this thread for example. He says the APC is becoming a Northern Party yet does not have the basic decency or innate honesty to admit that the APC reached out to all Parties across Nigeria to join its merger.

The SS and SE made an arrogant point of rebuking and rejecting the APC openly. They even began cursing and venting against their kinsmen like Ogbonnaya Onu, Rochas Okorocha, Ngige, Amaechi et al merely because those people would not be clannishly 'herded' into their mass and unobjective rejection of the APC. Now after the GEJ they supported clannishly lost the election they are coming out with a thousand lies daily, praying the Yorubas are "dealt with" and playing victim all over the place. Highly unreasonable, wicked and personally dishonourable people. Never have I seen such openly shameless, dishonest and ungracious behaviour before.

You are wrong bro... there is nothing like myopic but interest here
What "interest" ? You tell me. What interest were the SE and SS protecting by giving GEJ almost 100% of their votes? What did GEJ do for the SE and even his own SS region over the past five years for any balanced person from that region to vote for him? Bro, let us tell each other the truth so that those capable of learning from experience do so and better themselves. The SE and SS stuck with GEJ, a proven misruler labelled "the worst President in the world", because of nothing but ethnic and religious prejudice and the unreasonable hatred of the North and SW. Let us speak the truth and shame the devil.

When the SE and SS gave virtually 100% of their votes to a shocking misruler and destroyer of lives, what "interests" did they do that for? Is the "interest" of the SE and SS more corruption, more killings of innocent Nigerians, more poverty, more darkness after a shameless privatisation scam, more infrastructural deficiency, more fuel subsidy scams, more pension wuruwuru, more creation of private jet-owning crooks at the expense of ordinary Nigerians, more ethnic disharmony? Abeg let us begin saying it as it is in Nigeria regardless of whose Ox is gored. That is the only way we will learn and grow as a Nation. Irresponsible behaviour should be called precisely what it is and not indulged with sweet and mollycoddling words like "interests". Especially when those guilty of such want to then start dishonest revisionism they thinks helps in their effort to blame others for their own self-inflicted woes.

The north have pulled a major stunt on nigerians. the next course is to seize the party from the original founders, then invite politicians from other parties and before u known it we have the largest party in africa. walahi the next convention is gonna tell who owns the party.
You guys never fail to shock me with your blatant dishonesty and shameless revisionism in regards to events that played out before all our eyes. The fact no sane person will deny is that the APC tried and failed to gain traction in the SE and SS because the people of those region myopically, intolerantly and clannishly rejected the Party to bullishly pitch their tent with GEJ and his Party. Even the likes of Rochas and Amaechi you turned into "backstabbers" and "bastards" merely because they made a political choice any mature mind would/should not resent them for. Was it not you lot who were shouting proudly that "we reject the APC in the SE/SS"? Why then this pathetic revisionism? Why not act like men of honour and stand by the choice you made without telling all these shameless lies?
