OP you want change, eh? You want to be cheated continuously by the North, eh? Do you know why Buhari became a general in the army without a SSCE certificate?
Check out this: https://www.nairaland.com/2043886/cut-off-points-admission-into

Must the rest of us continue to shout "one Nigeria" while the North is shouting "it is our birthright to rule Nigeria"?
Are you not ashamed of yourself and what you have been reduced to? Jonathan has totally destroyed Nigeria and all you can do is practise petty scaremongering all because of your clannish and sentimental outlook when you should simply stand for what is right and best for the masses. Your "born to rule" noise against the North carries no weight with Nigerians today.

Since our current democracy began in 1999 the South has had power for 13 years (OBJ 8 years and GEJ 5 years) while the North had it for 3 years with Yar Adua. Any forward-thinking person will know that the South has had enough years in power to prove to the entire world it can do better than those you accuse of thinking it is their "birthright to rule Nigeria". Today, we have had enough variation of leaders to know leadership is about the innate character and quality of the individual and not where a leader comes from or whether he is Moslem,Christian, Atheist, Bhuddist or traditional worshipper .

Most analysts, as one highly illustrative example of my point, posit that Yar Adua did far more for the ND than "son of the soil" Jonathan and "southern brother" OBJ. Stop taking Nigeria backwards with your primitive noise and reasoning. Sell your GEJ on his own merit and stop this desperate and deplorable modus operandi of trying to make Buhari someone the electorate should avoid. If you know your people well, i.e Nigerians, you will understand you are only winning Buhari more fans because Nigerians will harden their resolve to vote for who they perceive represents change the more that person is demonized and vilified .

Never forget that GEJ benefited from what I am talking about in 2011 when he was still viewed as "transformation", "fresh air" and "the boy with no shoes". Whatever anyone said against GEJ back then simply had no effect whatsoever because Nigerians believed him to be the 'chosen one'. Today it is Buhari benefiting from the goodwill of Nigerians because of the monumental corruption and misrule of GEJ. Accept this, move on and stop saying the same thing like a broken record player when your messiah was the one who demanded an "issue-based campaign".

I know. Imagine Nigeria being led by a President who publicly stated that the number of private jets Nigerians are buying is proof Nigerians are not poor or in poverty as claimed worldwide. What else does this accidental leader need to say to convince some Nigerians he only sees the elite and is fully consumed with working in the interest of that very small minority group to the detriment of 170 million Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: Gej Must Go! 9ja Lets Be Real With Ourselves For Once In Our Country History by Gbawe: 12:56pm On Jan 05, 2015
Bless you OP. We are demanding change and we will get change because Nigeria is bigger than one man who is thoroughly failed and hideously corrupt. GEJ has no interest in the common man who he has failed immeasurably, yet our President and his fans are now insisting the masses must continue to die (over 12,00 directly so far) and suffer with the worthless ambition of probably the most corrupt President in Nigeria's history. Nigerians will say no to him because Jonathan was the 'last straw' chance a fed-up people gave a Party (the PDP) that had already enjoyed enjoyed 12 years central control of Nigeria before GEJ was sworn in as President in 2011. Nigerians are done with the 2011 theme of voting the "decent boy with no shoes" and not his Party (PDP) ruse . It is now crystal clear that nothing good can come from the PDP. GEJ is a goner.

PoliticsRe: FASHOLA Tells GEJ: Stop Losing 400,000 Barrels Of Crude Oil Daily by Gbawe: 10:57am On Jan 05, 2015
Fashola is only being diplomatic. Nigeria is not "losing" 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Rather, and exactly like the fuel subsidy scam, the government is brazenly abetting theft against Nigeria and Nigerians. What oil "theft" does GEJ plan to stop via handing pipeline protection contracts to militant warlords who are all glorified oil bunkerers?

Every action or inaction of GEJ directly and indirectly abets the status quo destroying Nigeria in every sector. Ribadu begged GEJ that Nigeria, as the only major exporter of oil doing so, must stop selling her crude endowment through traders as this practice enables monumental theft and corruption against Nigeria. This recommendation came around over 2 years ago. What has GEJ done other than to bin the Ribadu report? GEJ has a hand in all the criminality and corruption ailing Nigeria. This is the truth any objective Nigerian will not deny.

Don't mind the crayon brat. He is simply the most annoying and dishonest Nairaland to post here. I warned them all but they would never listen. They even called me names when I told them that all that GEJ was doing would come back to haunt him seriously. The chap who is screaming here that the APGA dude is "fake" is the same poster who preferred to play Ostrich and insult others when we pointed out that Nigerians were observing and noting GEJ's support and empowerment of corruption and will pay him back in future.

See below yourself to note that, even as I may not be as active today, I never dulled in the past to highlight the brazen corruption GEJ abetted because I knew it was very important, come election time, to show how Jonathan was killing Nigeria. Nigerians took note of the point some of us made consistently even as the sycophants of GEJ (see below) preferred to insult others and lick the azz of their corrupt messiah. Time is up now. Forumers can go to the thread below, and many like it, to see that the enemies of Nigeria's progress have not changed at all over the years and remain committed to their corruption baron.

His post is indeed on point because of how it touches on what is most important above everything else after all is said and done. I.e the way the PDP has received a stupendous amount of money over 16 years (surely over $600 billion) and given Nigerians platitudes and "tokens" in return that some shameless sycophants now wish to celbrate as 'performance'. It will not work today. We are in the information age.

Even Nigerians who have never been to Togo, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana et al have phones that can put them at the centre of those nation so that they see what those we ridicule and claim to be better than are enjoying with their modest national incomes while we have nada for the billions of dollars PDP has literally shared amongst its cronies to the extent they are all now on private jet level. The brazen corruption GEJ literally flaunted in the faces of Nigerians insensitively is the core bone of contention that will see him abandoned and defeated rather easily in my opinion. Afterall, who wanted to identify with Samuel Doe and Idi Amin when the game was up?

At those saying this man is "fake" and calling him a "Tinubu lackey" et al, I must ask if you guys are stuuuuuupiiiiiid for missing the substantive point?? Who cares what this guy is? It is the combination of events and how everything is happening that is indication a general trend. Are you not seeing Ohaeneze, always solidly behind GEJ in the past, now hedging its bet because of the fear of sinking with a drowning ship full of toxic waste? Even if the group endorses GEJ completely tomorrow, the damage is done and "the Horse has bolted from the stables".

Did you guys not see Atiku, the perpetual decampee, stick two fingers up at the PDP bigwig who tried to woo him back to the PDP and even went public to confidently say "Atiku and Kwankwaso will be back in the PDP before the election"? Quickly and without delay, Atiku told PDP publicly "mba , I no dey come this time. I am done with you". Kwankwaso too very similar. He accepted an APC senatorial seat and came out to state the PDP is scared and that is why the Party wants him back. Drivers from the North will not drive GEJ campaign buses and PDP politicians in the North, unlike 2011, are guarding their personal ambition while covertly working for Buhari at the Presidential level !!!!

The SW is taking to Osinbajo as if he is a mini Awolowo (literally) and so many other things are happening like the Rev.Mbaka public destruction of GEJ and the PDP. Why will those who stood solidly behind GEJ in the past not now be entertaining the fear they may lose it all betting everything on a tired and injured horse about to enter a race against a virile thoroughbred ? You guys can continue wasting your time trying to discredit the messenger without understanding, until it is too late, that the truth of the message is even highly understated. You guys can remain here trying to use propaganda to prop up a house falling like a pack of card but the world has seen this all before. It is what happens when an old, tiring and injured king is on the way out while a virile and favoured successor grows stronger and closer to his destiny. This is what leads many to begin proclaiming "the King is dead, long live the king".

Atiku, Kwankwaso Vow Not to Return to PDP

05 Jan 2015

As APC lauds Ohanaeze’s stand on Jonathan

Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have rejected moves by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to woo them back to the party from the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

PDP’s National Secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo, had recently muted the idea of luring both Atiku and Kwankwaso back to the party.

But while reacting to the statement, Atiku’s spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, dismissed the story, saying his principal had bade farewell to the PDP and nothing would take him back to the party again.

In the same vein, Kano State governor said the attempt to woo him back to the PDP was a confirmation and acknowledgement that the PDP was going to lose Kano in the 2015 general election without his help.

Kwankwaso, who spoke through his Director of Press, Baba Halilu Dantiye, said asking the governor to abandon the APC and rejoin PDP signified a “vote of no confidence on the Kano PDP leadership.”

Both Atiku and Kwankwaso had while undergoing screening for the APC presidential primaries signed an undertaking that they would not decamp from the party even if the failed at the primaries.

Kwankwaso, who is presently the APC Kano Central senatorial candidate, however said he had never contemplated abandoning the APC because of the platform it gave him to render service to his people.

Meanwhile, the APC in the South-east has congratulated Ohanaeze Ndigbo for “shooting down” a motion for the endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan as the candidate of the Igbos in the 2015 presidential election.

A statement by the spokesman of the APC in the South-east, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, described those who opposed the motion, which was moved by a PDP chieftain, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, at the Imeobi (inner caucus) meeting of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo on Saturday as true Igbo patriots.

Okechukwu expressed happiness that Ndigbo had realised that it did not make sense to put all their eggs in one basket, especially when the political scenario in the 2015 presidential election differs remarkably from that of 2011 when Jonathan was endorsed.

“Ohanaeze by refusing to endorse President Jonathan has taken a cue from Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka’s New Year sermon at the Adoration Ground, that Nigeria needs change for the better.

“As Mbaka said, ‘I love President Jonathan and I used to be his fan, but I want good for my people and that’s why I want Nigerians to vote out Jonathan and vote Buhari,” Okechukwu added.

According to him, “If the Hausas have spread their dragnets in both PDP and APC and Yorubas have spread their dragnets in both PDP and APC, then Ndigbo should not blame anybody for marginalisation in the event of APC’s victory in the February 14 presidential election.”

Okechukwu stressed that the APC in the South-east believes that Ohanaeze Ndigbo should remain neutral in the 2015 general election as there are Igbos in all the parties.

“Igbos are not only in PDP – we have Igbo sons and daughters in APC, the main opposition party in the country today.

“Our son, Chief Chekwas Okorie, is contesting under UPP, what happens to him if we endorse Jonathan? Ohanaeze is a polygamous father, we must spread our dragnet like our contemporaries in the Nigerian project.

“Like the Hausas and Yorubas, we should take the battle to every flank, not just one flank because if we channel all our arsenals to one flank, and it goes the other flank at the end of the day, nobody will take us serious if tomorrow again we start complaining about marginalisation,” he said.

He noted that only the self-serving Igbo politicians could rise up in the midst of the prevailing political scenario which favours APC to canvass for Jonathan’s endorsement

They are all now petrified with fear. Reality is beginning to show them how infantile and misjudged their "GEJ till 3030" noise is. It is now becoming obvious to individuals and organisations within Nigeria that drowning with a sinking ship (GEJ and PDP) is not a very wise thing to do.

Place all your eggs in the basket of the ultra-failed GEJ and what will happen to those eggs if GEJ is booted out as is looking certain to be the case day by day? The spirit of self-preservation is beginning to kick in and that is why a lot of individuals and organisations who rejected Buhari in 2011 now appear to be saying "in direct and/or coded ways that the King is dead (GEJ) long live the King (Buhari).

The support for GEJ will collapse so spectacularly in the next few weeks some TANdroids will think they are watching a horror movie. Some people are simply too ethnocentric and prejudiced to appreciate the anger against the 'luckiest' and most privileged President Nigeria has had who went on to squander enormous goodwill because of primordial avarice and a total lack of principles that led him to reject doing what would have made the name GEJ solid gold in the annals of history.

God provided everything and virtually every condition to favour GEJ to the extent even oil per barrel price was ridiculously high throughout almost the entire 5 years GEJ has been President. At this stage some foolish TANdroid now think pointing at some roads, substandard schools , a fraudulent power privatisation scam and 'patch-patch' of some antiquated rail service will get GEJ another 4 years? how stupid are some Jonathanians and TANdroids? We know how , conservatively, $100 billion or more has disappeared into thin air under GEJ !!! This is money that could have turned Nigeria into a nation on course to becoming a developed Country !!! Would any of us consider it fair 'payback' if we spend N1 million to buy a car only to then be given a bicycle worth N2,000? Jonathan has taken a lot and given Nigerians nada in return yet all his buddies and cronies are on private jet level. Nigerians are going to reject GEJ so horribly, even his most ardent noise-makers and backers will hide when they see the passion against their 'oga'.

A Charlatan Mockery Of Nigeria's Democracy By Taiwo Adetiloye

Nothing drives a nation to penury than if certain of its citizens are by themselves their own enemies and by no means can such nation progress if it continues to wallow in the absurdity of its own folly. Permit me to state that for democracy in Nigeria to strive urgent steps must be taken to guide the institutions against pervasive individuals who seek to gain cheap popularity instead of selflessly dedicating themselves to nation building.

There is the clear pointer of how the executive arm of government especially the presidency seeks to perpetuate their stay in power against the will of the masses even when it is so glaring that winning an election can be near impossible given the little such government has done to improve the lots of the people. Why I asked, is it that Nigerians have never had a true leader that would respect him or herself and say “well, I have tried and I am so sorry that we could not fully implement our transformation agenda as promised…and for these reasons I will not seek a re-election.”? And, frankly, that is the highest honor a man can take home, if he is honest enough to accept his leadership failures and allow a more capable hand to do what would be in the overall interest of his followers.

The mentality of some inept personalities in power or on the corridor of power is to think without them the nation cannot strive, while they seek to hold the poor masses by their jugular veins with no remorse for their poor leadership skills vis-vis high level corruption in the nation.

The legislative arm of the Nigeria government is not left out. Since 1999 till present, the PDP lawmakers in the national assemble have performed abysmally below average. It is still unimaginable that the likes of Farouk Lawan, Stella Oduah and Allison Madueke have not be brought to book simply because our lawmakers themselves have at many times deepened and soiled their clothes in the odorizing corruption, paying themselves enormous wages along with furniture allowances and more. At this point, it is perfidious if those who ought to guide our constitutional laws are themselves the law-breakers.

To cap it all, come 2015 progressive Nigerians at home and in diaspora ask for nothing short of free and fair elections. They seek a new tide of leadership that will truly change their untold plights. They seek a highly decent Nigeria society with respect for human rights and the rule of law. They seek a nation where corruption for the high and mighty pen stealing billions is judged harder than the jobless bank robber who goes to steal few thousands from the bank. They seek a nation that prides itself in the diversity of its people and the prosperity of all.

I agree with this point as well. Cowardice and greed combined to undermine the PDP. GEJ induced and bullied his way to gaining a ticket his abject performance would have automatically disqualified him from seeking in a sane Party that is about the progress of a nation above everything else. GEJ running as the PDP candidate is very good for the APC because it means the PDP has nothing at all to sell GEJ on and must now rely on spreading negative propaganda and 'money politics'. On careful reflection, I now think gej tried using the babangida model to rule; i.e,create a clique of billionaires thru patronage and state institutionized corruption with d belief that these set of people will use their wealth and assumed influence that comes with it to extend his stay till whenever he feels he has wrapped d country in his grip.
But just like d IBB model failed, gej's too is about to fail.
D man must be voted out because apart from d near ruin he has put Nigeria on,I do feel that gem and these set of cronies wud not stop at another 4yrs;d model is classical of that dat wud later seek for extension of their benefactor's rule beyond d constitutional limited 2 terms
Indeed. This is no longer a project money can salvage. GEJ has failed spectacularly and I think the PDP will be shocked by how Nigerians will turn out passionately to remove them at the centre.

Only the over nyt billionaire fraudsters club will miss him
Absolutely. It is the private jet Oligarchy that will cry when Jonathan is booted out of Aso Rock. Ordinary Nigerians will jubilate wildly. Majority of Nigerians cannot wait to see the back of GEJ.

All those insulting him should get ready cos his still gonna win. undecided
It is Jonathan who leaves himself wide open for these "insults". Why say Nigeria will "miss you" when you have failed them spectacularly? Is it the relatives of the Chibok girls or the loved ones of over 12,000 Nigerians wiped out by terrorist who will "miss" Jonathan? Is it the crony capitalism fraud Jonathan packaged as "power sector privatisation" that Nigerians will miss? Of course it makes logical sense that Nigerians will miss the monumental corruption Jonathan has institutionalised and virtually legitimised. We will miss crooks like Ifeanyi Uba, Farouk Lawan et al strutting around arrogantly under a President who empowers the corrupt and adds more grease to their elbow. We shall certainly miss having criminals pardoned and then sent to the senate to loot round two.

Face the truth and it is obvious Tsav tells the truth with his observation that it is the billionaires GEJ created who will miss him and not ordinary Nigerians who cannot wait to see the back of Mr.President.

BOMB SHELL: Stop Disgracing Yourself, Nigerians Won’t Miss You – Tsav Attacks Jonathan

A former Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, Thursday said that Nigerians will never miss
President Goodluck Jonathan when he leaves office.
The retired police chief, said this in Makurdi, Benue State,
was reacting to the president’s remark that Nigerians would praise him soon after he leaves office.
“President Jonathan will be deceiving himself if he thinks
Nigerians would miss him when he leaves. This is mere
hallucination and wishful thinking”, he said.
He insisted that contrary to the president’s expectation,
Nigerians are eager for him to give them a break as they
are desperate for change in a positive direction.

Tsav also noted that the only people, who may perhaps
sing Jonathan’s praise when he is no longer in office,
are those emergency millionaires and billionaires he
created through institutionalized corruption.

He added that even some of the people the president
appointed as ministers into his cabinet, such as former
Minister of Information, Labaran Maku and his counterpart,
Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment,
Samuel Ortom will not praise him for alleged injustice done to
them in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primaries.
