To the best of my knowledge, something must have ignite the anger of south Africans, and I feel it maynt be unconnected with some Nigerian bragging on their achievement which maynt go down well with the owners of the land, this kind of attitude are in some of the part of Nigerians, I dnt wnt to mention but I believed with wisdom, readers may know the tribe am talking about.
It's the right time we tell our brothers outside the country to behave themself and don't overshow yourself in respective of your wealth.
Respect the people culture and there land, no matter number of year you spend in a place, that doesn't turn you automatic an indegine of the place, moreso never disrespect your host community.

Oga in case you dont know chief of staff is more powerful than Vice President. The cheif of staff must be a president ally. While Deputies and vice are just from another block forced upon the president. The kind of democracy we run power is placed on one person. So he can decide to share with whomever he choose to[/quote

That's unofficial, the truth of the matter is the SGF ware naturally suppose to be greater than COS

This protest is overdue, I have personal open a tread on this platform for the removal of Abba kyari sometimes ago but the president put up his deaf hear on it,
Aside of corruption, the man his suppose to be an elder stateman by now not someone running a day to day activities of such a big office, at an official age of 81years.
I had posted severally on Segun adesina post several time whenever the picture of Mr president is posted. You will notice that Abba kyari is always beside PMB instead of Boss Mustapha, infact at some point, I was confuse who is more superior between COS and SGF.
This is a right call and I believed PMB willnt turn back people wish this time arround.

APC n Buhari n well meaning Kano indigin should call Ganduje to order, disgrace your emir will only have a negative impact in his state,
Whoever that knows this man should try n appeal to him to keep his sword n stop his mission.
We know that governor can play politics and remove the emir or king but he should trend it softly.

Naturally many people that uses 2phone, use 1big phone n d other one that has a battery backup, many of the so call big phone dnt usually have enough battery back up due to so many application that runs in the phone.
it's more reasonable for any business man to have a big phone n small phone, your hot line will be inside the small phone, so that you dnt need to keep looking for where to charge your phone always.
Must everybody carry powerbank around like our VP?
This has nothing to do with humility, it's basically for your own convenient so that you dnt need to continue looking for where to charge your phone always.

There is no way tinubu will get the ticket because he is a Muslim . if that happened, the north , who are predominantly Muslims would lose out completely. Muslim Muslim ticket won't fly, this is not 1993. This is the reason Elrufai is calling for Tinubu's head. With Osunbajo, Elrufai is sure of vice presidential slot and may succeed his boss as well. That is the game plan for now and Buhari is a parr of the while plan.

Asiwaju willnt contest, the ticket is for osinbajo/Ribadu, Elrufai cannt get any ticket for APC, even Buhari his nt comfortable with Elrufai but many people dnt knw n understand,
Buhari call Elrufai gov bulldozer the last time he demolish his political opponent office, Elrufai his hated by nothern elit so his out of the game.
They have already started grooming Ribadu to join the ticket with Osinbajo, because of anti corruption crusade he has in common with Buhari.
This is how the Ticket of APC will go comes 2023.

Well thanks for your enlightenment, I hope you know that all politician build their political carrier daily.
Though amnt from that state neither do I know much from the grass root politics that's playing out their but from the little am seeing from far, I can see Omo Agege having some edge in 2023, perhaps if he get d DSP position too.
Anyway I wish him best of luck.

LKO:

If u are familiar with delta politics u would know Agege won in 2015 on Labour Party platform because he rode on the back of Ogboru who is a household name in Delta Central and generally liked by the Urhobos. If Agege had contested in 2015 in a platform different from Ogboru's, he would have not become senator. He contested in 2011 under ACN to be governor he was mercillesly defeated coming a distant third. Agege can easily pick APC ticket in 2023 being a senator, but he would not win.

His a strong politician that doesn't need any God father before he can achieve his aim, he won his current ticket through Labor party before he decamp to APC and he won his re election now despite the state his been run by PDP, it show how love n strong he his, in his state.

I will like to correct so many people statement on this topic, firstly shoprite is own by corporate organisation, while market like tejuosho, idumota, computer village, ladipo, etc are own by different individuals, whereby there is need to have a head to represent them n coordinate the activities of the market.

capitalzero:

is lagos a local govt? is ikeja part of lagos island? is folashade ojo-tinubu iyaloja of lagos island or lagos state?
are Lebaneses an indigenous people in Nigeria?
which is supreme constitution or yoruba tradition?
you see my friend. I am a core yoruba man but I hate injustice and man-made culture that is not consistent with modern reality. can you tell me who is iyaloja of shoprite ? is shoprite not a market? in African history, traditional titles are created to collect royalties, levies or taxes from subjects in a domain being by a king or high chief. now in modern era, some still want to be collecting free money from traders through outdated traditions while still paying taxes and levies to government.
tinubu-ojo cannot control markets in all parts of lagos just as iyaloja of ife cannot control markets in ede or osogbo.
which state are you from?

I don't know anything about Adelabu other than he has the same name with the famous "penkelemessi" of those days.

Seyi Makinde has been contesting awhile now. This is his turn. I hope he can learn from the downfall of his predecessor, Mr. "Firunmu-je-jogi" aka "Constituted authority".

Don't look down on the people because most of them are artisans and traders.

One thing I like about Ajimobi though is the technical college he started. If the project comes to light it will probably be the best project ever given to the Oyo state people especially Ibadan indigenes as most of their kids don't go to the higher institution but learn craft and trade.

Having a technical college to help them professionalize that is just superb.

Mr Adelabu should make himself a worthy opposition in the next 4 years.

God bless the good people of Oyo state.

Correct advice.

Making a costly mistake can jeopardise achieving visible progress.

What matter most is ability to learn from mistake and do the right thing, believe me Buhari isnt the best for this country but Atiku cannt be an option.
I wish my country the best and hope to see a better team in the upcoming federal government cabinet that will raise the economy of our dear country

Go and find out about the model schools Ladoja built throughout Oyo state and then let's compare to the ones of APC regime if any

How many model school was he able to build? Can you show me number of standard road he was able to construct?
I know the model school along monatan, I blv he would have do better if not for adedibu problem then, the same people are the one surround themself with makinde now, which may slowdown is performance.
Why u see many APC governor using lagos contractor is because many indigenous contractor will only collect the money n do half of the job, thinking it's business as usual. That's why many PDP goverment have not successful, that doesn't mean APC are not embezzled money too

I see Adelabu loss as a blessing in future for him, this may not be the right time for him to enter because incoming government cannt do better than what ajimobi as achieve for now due to current economic in the country.
In couple of month, we will all understand it.
All the best for the incoming government n my prayer and advice for Adelabu is to start building is political structure from now.

Ajimobi tried his best in terms of infrastructure and he's the best at that since inception of democracy in oyo state but he's wrong doing outweighs his better sides, that said. Oyo state needs a technocrats that will woo investors and also increase IGR of the state. Oyo workers loves Ladoja and prefers him any time simply because he pays salary on the 25th and also pays13th month, but till date you can't point to any tangible thing he did through out his tenure

That's the problem, people preffer free money, moreso they also prefer to be a civil servant so that they close by 3pm or 4pm daily n weekend they have it for owanbe party.
The only achievement you can attached to Ladoja is prompt civil servant salary durring he is term. No form of any infrastructure.
It's durring APC regime from lagos we start witness concrete road project, formally they use block for drainage and do substandard roa

Bros forget recession, let the Federal Government place those serving the country on minimum wage and put mechanisms in place to block loopholes and see how the country will grow. What we need in this country are people with business ideas and creativity, ensuring all the sectors in the country are working from Mining to a sport, health, education, entertainment to agriculture not exempting IT. We are very good in paperwork but when it comes to practicalising, it becomes an issue

My brother, I agree with u but the problem of this country is that the economy have been runny on corruption in the past, changing it make things difficult for people, couple with wrong step the fedral goverment took at some point.
Below is a story of a civil servant to explain my point.

1. A young man works for one of the state ministries. His salary is 120K. He makes 15,000 everyday on this desk (N75k a week) engaging in corrupt practices. As a result, he spends the daily cash as he cares. Living large and far above his legitimate income.

2. He visits the local joint every evening and buys drinks for friends, and area boys. They hail him. He is married, but has two girlfriends. His "income" is enough to take care of them. The Asun seller at his favorite joint is happy, the joint owner is happy.

3. Everyone was benefiting from his "income". Friends, family, area boys, joint owner, Asun seller, girlfriends, wife and his church. Life was good.

4. Then suddenly the ministry implemented the Treasury Single Account (TSA) at the beginning of PMB administration. His extra "income" disappeared and he had to adjust to the reality of event and live within his real income. That wasn't easy.

5. Initially he reduced his daily visit to the joint to 3 days a week and stopped buying drinks for everyone. He reduced he plates of Asun. The Asun seller started to find it hard to sell a full goat each day and resorted to buy half.

6. The young man's girlfriends started to feel the heat too. No more iPhone 10. The joint owner noticed a drop in sales. The young man finally stopped visiting the joint after a month. The area boys started feeling his absence. The effect cascaded down.

7. The young man started spending more time at home with his wife and kids. The family had to readjust to the reality of the new normal. His hair stylist noticed the young man suddenly stopped tipping. He will even wait for his N200 change after haircut.

8. Things are different. Times are hard, they all cry. The young man is blaming Buhari, his wife is blaming Buhari, the area boys are blaming Buhari, the girlfriends are saying Buhari must go, the joint owner is saying Buhari killed the "economy"

9. The Asun seller is cursing Buhari, the hair stylist is insisting Buhari is too old to rule. This is the story of our nation where corruption fuels the "economy". Those who are not engaging in it are benefiting from it.

10. This tread is not about Buhari's achievement or failure, but rather about the "multiplier" effect of corruption and how we have built a system largely driven by corruption. It's about policy implication (good or bad). It's about the choices we have made.

Finally, the young man had to withdraw his kids from what he called expensive primary school his kids attend. He added:"what are they teaching them there sef " Obasanjo didn't go to a private school. I just laughed

My Take:
Most of the so called rich men and women in Nigeria before now were feeding fat on the populace, imaging a level 15 officer in a state ministry sponsoring two of his/her children's education in Europe but when TSA came to effect, free money dried up but Buhari was blamed for the inability to fund children in Europe! Awon ole jati -jati, ofan a je l'oju onile.

I really wonder how Seyi will do it. Oyo gets N2.1B monthly allocation while its wage bill is N5.2B monthly. This will soon increase, since minimum wage will be N30k.

How can the outgoing government start employment just few days after election that shock them. Makinde his just preparing grand for possible sack of civil servant in the state.
I wish him all the best but I doubt his ability to do better than ajimobi.
With his soft mind, the state revenue generation will surely goes down during his regim which will make him more incapacitated to do less except hisnt willing to go allong with those people that surround him.

Your comment is well noted,
You cannt be a good leader if you are not ready to step on tolls,
Ajimobi would have been able to manage the situation if he didn't add his bad mouth character to the game.
Makinde cabinet will be constituted and handpick by people like Ladoja, Lanleyin n co.
He cannt get technocrats in his goverment because they will tell him the story how they make him become governor.
Those people will mainly be after there pocket and people arround them first before thinking of any development for benefit of oyo state in general.
In the next two year, we will be hear n reasonable people will start complaining.

Infrastructure, security well perfected under him...ley oyo people enjoy what they voted for we will b here in 4years time wen d same people will start cursing him

No b oyo people Ni

All d best for dem

Ajimobi perform excellently well in term of infrastructure development and relatevely peace in the state but yoruba in general knows how to read meaning to people statement, the man use to talk too much n he believed his above everybody as constituted authority couple with hungry politician that was unable to feed themselve during his term.
I doubt if makinde can achieve 1/4 of what ajimobi achieved in term of infrastructure but common man will enjoy him because he will surely roll out a lot of money to people with less visible infrastructure within the state.
I like makinde, I had met him in person in the past but I doubt is ability to do better than Adelabu.
Too much kindness cannt bring the desire development to a state
The only way he can achieve his if he can turn himself little away from those people that are parading themself has his supporter now because most of them are always after there pocket.

I actual prefer Adebayo Adelabu to win the election because of his CV that I read and perceived sympathy I have for his party but people choice must be respected.
My fear for seyi makinde is that, he may not be able to do much in term of infrastructure for the state due to the people surround him.
There may be free money everywhere within oyo state and less infrastructure.
We may likely witness another stomach infrastructure during seyi makinde administration, just like ekiti state during fayose regime
For now in oyo state, ajimobi as achieved a lot in term of infrastructure for the state. His problem is arrogant/bad mouth and unable to open the treasury of the state for bigger boys in the state.
