hello house, please do students and dependents require police certificate/report? if yes, what for?

Hi guys. If I made IHS payment and received transaction confirmation email but didnt receive the second email confirming the IHS reference, what do I do and can this be a problem during biometrics?

You can only use your account, your spouse or your parents' accounts. I suggest your brother transfer the funds to your husband. I can't say much about the tb test but others might have an idea. There's a bit of a rush right now. You may want to consider deferring your admission till january as a trump card if you can't meet up with Sept.

Congratulations. So if I understand you correctly, you didn't wait for your 28 day POF count to elapse before putting in your application and booking a biometric appointment date? I was under the impression we have to have all required documents before applying. How exactly does that work. Can the gurus in the house shed some light on this? Thanks

Guys ot was not super priority i did. I made mistake.

The visa application and biometric was done 21/6/21

And collection was 29/6/21

It was priority visa

Please what's the purpose of this police clearance certificate? Is it needed to travel?

Hello Everyone, I would like to ask a question here

I am filling my Visa application form, there were a couple of questions I need clarification on:


1. Do you have relatives in the UK? I filled in that my immediate brother/wife are in the UK (British citizens)

2. Where do you intend to stay during your course - I filled in my Schools address as I am yet to pay for the accommodation I requested yet.

3. Are there any other places you want to stay? What should I fill in this section, Can I fill in my brothers address considering that I intend on living with my brother (stated in No.1 above) for the first 1 month before I get my own private accomodation?

Can anyone help with this? The gurus in the house!

complete a passenger locator form". Thats an extrqct from UKVI website. I believe you still need to take the tests

Hello house. This forum has proven extremely informative for me throughout this process. Thanks to all the contributors. i've got admission to start in september and intending going with my wife. Currently filling out the application and i have a few questions.
1. After giving my spouse's details, a question asks if my she will travel with me to which I answer yes. Under the dependant section, should i still add her as a dependant?
2. We intend staying there with family for a bit before finding our own place. How do i represent this in the application. The application requires that you give specific details about everywhere you will stay and we dont have all that info yet. How do I represent this? Sure i've seen posts with some saying they used the school's address but i'm not sure about it.
3. Do we need to get police reports before travelling? Of what use is it?

Yes. It went well. Know about your course and the modules, as much as you can about the school and sheffield, how the course you're studying will impact your career going forward, how you intend to fund your studies. I imagine after you booked your appointment, they sent you the documents showing the questions they'd likely ask as well as the areas to research. Learn about these and you should be just fine. Mine lasted about 20-30minutes and lastly try to give detailed answers even when the question sounds open ended. Add a little something extra. Good luck

17th Nov 2020 I received my condition offer

7th Dec 2020, i received my unconditional offer after submitting the required documents and passing my credibility interview

14th April 2021 CAS was issued..

15th April 2021 i did my TB test.

Standard VISA application..

29th of April Biometrics

The waiting began, I won't even lie, it wasn't easy, checking my mail every now and then..

18th May 2021 I received two collection mail. I was in Benin, i had to run to Lagos today 19th May, i got to Lagos before 12pm then i dashed to Ikeja to collect it.

When i got home, i nervously opened it, there my VISA was smiling at me.....

Congratulations. I have a question around this. How long after submitting the application does biometrics take place. Will i be invited by the processing centre or do i book a date for it? I have my CAS statement and am only just trying to sort out my POF. I'm looking to start my count from june 1. Given my course starts in september, if it will take a while to get biometrics done after submitting applications for my wife and i, then i'm thinking paying for priority service is the way to go since the 3 week waiting period starts after biometrics. Does anyone have pointers on this?

My wife and I intend to stay with someone for a few months before we find a place of our own. On the visa application form, after answering the question "Who will you be staying with in the UK?", the next question, "Will you be staying anywhere else in the UK?" is a challenge because we don't yet have that information although it should be within the school area . Has anyone else experienced something similar and how did they answer this question?
