Hopefully, they will do their jobs without expecting kick backs. Can't forget my experience with the New York consulate in 2020. They only attended to people who were willing to part with $350. They had an agent downstairs who you paid to in cash. At some point, a few people revolted and they called on NYPD. When the officers showed up, people asked if they were going to arrest Nigerians on Nigerian soil. Had to book another appointment in Ottawa. The good thing was that they refunded my money.

For your information, my property and thousands others were saved because they realigned it and reduced the lane. I guess you would prefer they destroy my property just to maintain the 10 lane. I got a notice of demolition around March last year but my property was eventually saved.

Secondly, they paid compensation to everyone whose property were eventually demolished. Could you believed even a mallam with container was given about 2 million naira for damages? I mentioned the mallam because I personally know him. The baale in that area made so much money because he was issuing receipts to all the property owners and even people with containers. As long as you go with that receipt , you get huge compensation for your property depending on the structure you have on it.( These people have no C of O) yet they are all compensated.

This is my personal experience.

How does this justify the reduction in the lanes? Whenever they were planning the road and budgeting, what were they thinking? Nigeria truly deserves the leaders she has with the kind of thinking people like you have.

Coastal highway passed through the back of my house. I've never seen a road constructed with so much speed. They are even working at night. It is crazy. So many things may be wrong with Nigeria but when we see good things, it cost nothing to acknowledge

How many lanes are they constructing now? What was approved and what is being done? Is it the same 10-lanes approved?

Why do I find this difficult to believe? The same excitement they showed for the coastal highway and is now a caricature of what we were told.

It is better to know the extent to which they are culpable however, it is an indictment on the country and not on one president.

My mum was feeling under the weather this morning as such, on my way to work, I thought of something I could make for dinner that could help.

Mutton (Lamb meat) and yam pepper soup. Used two habaneros and one bell pepper. Way too spicy for my level so I had to heat some palm oil to douse the hotness to make it comfortable for me to eat.

Does any country owe any of its non citizen a visa? Why are we feeling so entitled?
