Family / Re: As A Man I Will Not Be Happy To Marry A Lady Whose Womb Is Damaged by GboyegaD(m): 7:19am On Jan 27
How do you know her womb is damaged? Did her Gynecologist tell you/ her that or you are just concluding? She should work with her gynecologist to know what her issues are so that they can be tackled.
People like you who think you know is part of her challenges as you can create fear where there is none.

That said, why are your sisters getting pregnant out of wedlock? Why can't you educate your sister sexually instead of allowing your mom encouraging her to abort?
Education / Re: 61-Year-Old Sobowale Babatunde Graduates With 4.84 CGPA From UNILAG by GboyegaD(m): 6:21pm On Jan 26
Whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.

The older generation keep giving we the younger ones a run. I am appreciative of the fact that they are setting good examples.

Romance / Re: Can The Past Life Of A Lady Truly Be Overlooked ? by GboyegaD(m): 3:57pm On Jan 26
She should bring it up with her to hear her side of the story. The friend could have hyped things out of jealousy.

That said, even if it is true, it's her past provided she has genuinely changed.

Food / Re: I Cant Eat Without Excess Pepper In My Food. Why? by GboyegaD(m): 3:51pm On Jan 26
To each his/her own. I don't like pepper and an average stew for me uses at most 2 Habaneros, 3 Bell peppers for redness, and 10 big Tomatoes.

Family / Re: Should I Be Concerned About Marrying A 39yrs Old Woman? by GboyegaD(m): 3:15pm On Jan 26
PrinceofSarcasm:

You want to marry her because she is a citizen. That's the main motivation for you ...

So just know it won't be a marriage because this is purely transactional so don't go in there with warped expectations.

Don't go there looking for love because she is just desperate to have a family while you want documents

So don't call this what it is not. This is an arrangement

Don't be too hay in your conclusion. If he's also in Canada, he doesn't necessarily need marry he for his papers. You don't know his status, so why conclude?

Smile4mee01:
I'm a single 39yr old Nigeria guy in diaspora trying to settle down and going to Nigeria to marry is not an option.

I'm an introvert who has been through some childhood trauma in my family and really fear marriage because of what I have seen and how bad it can be sometimes.

However, an old female friend and colleague of mine who we worked together in Nigeria and now in canada recently contacted me and she is also single and not had children. She is doing well for herself and now a citizen there while I'm not. A part of me is concerned about

1. Fertility : I desire children. However, can she have me healthy children @ 39. How many can she have? I discussed us trying for a child , she appears to want a.marriage first. But what gurantees do I have to have children.

Should I be concerned? I dont want to enter one chance.

Please I use God beg you, no insults just advice. Abeg. God bless you.

Your concerns are genuine however, I would think what you want to know is her history. If she tells you everything is fine, then you should be good to go.
The good thing is at your age, if you try for 6 months and she isn't pregnant, you are quickly considered for assisted pregnancy which involves doing all necessary tests and providing the best solution/alternative.

Politics / Re: Inflation To Fall In 2024 — CBN Governor, Cardoso by GboyegaD(m): 3:25pm On Jan 24
Hmm.... inflation targeting when almost everything consumed is imported. Importation has many parts to play in our inflation and except we are targeting all those ways in which importation leads to inflation, this might end up being more talk than reality.

Politics / Re: FAAN Confirms Relocation Of Headquarters To Lagos, Gives Reasons by GboyegaD(m): 12:47pm On Jan 19
Mrexcell:

If this is ur argument then the nnpcl and all multi national oil companies also deserves to have all their headquarters in their core operational base in the niger delta

It could also be based on nearness to market which in this case would be where most deals are closed. And in some cases, could be strategic which is what has led to everything been in Lagos and Abuja. At this point, u think in order to make room for growth of others, companies should be encouraged to consider having their head quarters around their major source of resources too.

Facidio:

So the NNPC headquarters and NIMASA can beoved to the Niger Delta now right?

No! I would still think of Lagos based on where most of the companies they deal with are resided particularly for MIMASA since the Apapa and Tin Can ports remain the most utilized.

As for NNPC, I'm not sure because thinking about both nearness to resources and nearness to market, moving it down to the Niger Delta is appropriate or at worst, Lagos since that is where most Oil and Gas companies are situated.

That said, it is time we develop the entire country and Lagos could make use of some de-cluttering.

flexyrule:
Why is NNPC HQ in Abuja, and Mobil in Lagos?

For NNPC, I really wouldn't know however, for Mobil, I would presume most of the paper works can be easily done in Lagos and could be the company strategy.

Lagos airport accounts for a greater share of both passenger and cargo flights, I wonder why the Headquarters was moved to Abuja in the first instance.

I hope in bringing it to Lagos, it will be suitable not too far from the airport and not the Island.
