I would suggest you ask your question on the student platform (https://www.nairaland.com/8135347/general-usa-student-visa-enquiries-part/215) since many transited from F1 to H1B and are on H1B at this time and might be able to answer your questions better.

I am not sure there is any problem with your situation since you are in status. Hopefully, he should get it.

As per someone that posted that no visa approval in September. He may be right or otherwise. I got a denial on a day to my birthday in recently in Lagos US embassy

I'm still disappointed at the whole thing. It was only one guy that was given visa out of about 12 people who were on the queue with me. An elderly woman was denied because she overstayed in the US. The US embassy is like a world on its own.

In my opinion, the challenge is your salary. N300k is a little above $200 which is not enough for your accommodation let alone other other costs.

Hello,

If you are still in status and your current visa is still valid, i believe you can still file for a change of status from the uscis office before your status expires or you will have to come back to your country to apply for F1 VISA.

Note, your case is dicy as there are lots of backlogs with all the immigration situation.

First, check if your status wouldn't have expire before the whole change of status so as to aviod the issue of overstaying but, if it won't work i would advice you return home and then apply for a F1 VISA.

You can do more research on that on the US official website.

What's your stamped in duration? If you are still within the date plus 30 working days, you should be fine.

It is a classic reflection of our society. In the last election, a candidate backed his ideas and plans with statistics, researched properly which was evidence in his responses. However, Nigerians decided to vote someone who boldly said "na statistics we go chop?"

In essence, the companies are all about the glamor and profits.
