There are many ways to stay back in the US besides marriage. In terms of what skills to learn, I will leave that to your passion.

It is difficult to say in this time and age since the record can be easily stored however, I think if it isn't a van, you shouldn't be too worried about it.

He supported Obaseki in betraying Oshiomole and APC, he needs not cry foul. He should have learned at that point Obaseki cannot be trusted. Wonder why he is feeling pained now. He should accept his fate and prepare for the primaries. He might pull another "Edo no be Lagos."

I have not picked up any new friends , I don't even have any friend. I think my mind is only rooted on making money that is why I lost feelings on so many things..

At the other hand when I invited any of them they will not show up in my place and I think that has contributed for me stopping to visit them ..

Make it known to them that you felt the relationship was one sided with respect to visitations. I am sure they will understand and appreciate your sincerity. However, are you okay with your uncle and aunt visiting you at will? That is a question you need to ask yourself and be sincere with the response you come up with before bringing it to them.

While the slash is commendable, I am surprised no one is saying anything about the office of the first lady. I guess we just don't like doing things right and enjoy playing to the gallery too much.

Unfortunately, many would go beyond the message to either attack or defend personalities involved as it soothes them. I have learned that until we as Nigerians are willing to learn and ask right questions from the leaders, one can only watch and pity ourselves.

Family / Re: After 5years Of Emotional Abuse Should I Give A 2nd Chance by GboyegaD(m): 8:27pm On Jan 09
I have read it twice and I am not sure what to advice since you know him better. If you think you have moved on, biko, do him the favor of saying NO to his plea so that you do not get entrapped with him and perhaps cheat on him with your new love. That will make you seem worse compared to all he has done to you.

One part of your story I am confused about is why you allowed him treat you this badly and never took action. If you are so scared about the kids, what will happen to them now should you divorce? I will suggest you ensure that part is well straightened as you take the action that is best to you at this time.
Travel / Re: Red Line Rail To Be Unveiled In March, Says LAMATA MD, Abimbola Akinajo by GboyegaD(m): 8:20pm On Jan 09
I wish them success and hope this will help the people of Lagos.

For the blue line, do we have Park 'N' Ride stops close to the stations?

Lastly, I hope LAMATA will take the initiative of improving BRT efficiency, utilizing the train systems and using park n ride stations to help ease the traffic burden in Lagos.

I agree. We flog the iranu out of her first, and the educate her on these ills you have mentioned, liberally spicing it with brain resetting beating each time she forgets the education

I'm not sure the beating works in this case. If it did, there wouldn't be teenage pregnancy like we experienced in our time.

You know the worst, they were impregnated by the broses that are shouting reset were responsible.

The parents have to be an exemplar to their kids, else the actions of the parents is inherently hypocritical.

It is expected that your child should look up to you for good. That is the basis.

I sabi Bible na. I repented when I was 12yrs old. I'm late 30s, e no easy sha as devil no dey gree, especially with women. grin

That's the summary, the reason why beating isn't the solution.

There's a place of education in the family. The child's chat posted shows she's very informed and no amount of beating will take away that information/knowledge she has. It is in their place to educate her on the ills of engaging in such acts while also trying to get her engaged in productive activities, and teaching her how to select her friends/acquaintances rightly.

Guy forget that thing o.

Many of us would have been wayward today if not for the correctional beatings we received back then..

Special slaps wey dey reset brain.. cheesy

Tell me you believe many are not wayward despite the beatings? A country where we all know the extent of corruption naim you dey talk like say the beatings change things? Walahi, wetin beatings do pass na say e change people's tactics.

I advised him in the initial thread not to pet his little sister on this issue, to flog her very well and take her down to those boy(s) and threaten, if possible, beat the hell out of them and still report to his mother and the parents of the boy(s). That is how an elder brother acts, if not, inside this Nigeria, they will mess his sister up badly.

Also, For your reading delight.
Proverbs 13v24: Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.

Proverbs 23:13&14.

13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die. 14 Punish them with the rod and save them from death
.

Proverbs 20:30

30 Physical punishment cleanses away evil; such discipline purifies the heart
.

You still deserve better planking for your miserable advice to him. Better 2x2 plank on that your coconut head.

If beating works the way you all claim, Nigeria should be much better than it is right now. Parents wey dey beat pikin say e steal and the parent dey still from government etc. Abi no be people wey dem beat anyhow full government?

Abeg, no make letter kill you because na spirit dey give life ooo. Because you dey quote like say na you write Bible but e no sure say you dey do everything wey Bible talk.

one of my neighborh's child steal alot. His elder brother and father gave him a thorough beating. The moment he remembers that if he should do anything stupid, there are people standby that'd beat the living day light out of him. This boy is now a complete changed person. He should be 24 by now. Beating help alot!

I don't know if you're a religion person or not, even the Bible support spanking a child that's going astray. I can't really recollect the Bible verse though.

foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him".

In my opinion, beating can correct ill behaviors however, things like this need emotional intelligence to educate the child on why this shouldn't be her priority. She's shown she's knowledgeable albeit, from the things she's heard from a manipulation perspective. Therefore, what is needed is using the trust the child has in you to reorient her in the right path truthfully.

It seems like you did not read to the end.I know the kind of relationship I have with my sister that is why I told my mum let me do the flogging.I flogged her with my hand and use that same hand to hug her.She knows what she did was wrong and she deserve the flogging. This my sister was gisting with me not long ago.She knows I will never flog her over a slight issue. The swollen part was not necessary though but I got really angry. You can't blame me

I pray all your words of advice are taken by her and she understands why she needs to wait and not be too eager for things she shouldn't be involved with at this age.
Family / Re: xxxxxxx by GboyegaD(m): 10:56pm On Jan 05
Interesting how you took pride in beating her and even abusing her to the point her body is swollen. She's shown you she's more matured than you are with the level of knowledge she's displayed in your old post.

What she needs now is more counselling and guidance than unnecessary beating. In it all, I wish you guys the best.

The way some of these foreign companies exploit Nigerians is really bad

Poverty has made our people to work in such places

Aren't we all part of the problems? Do we encourage those who have great ideas to contest in elections? Don't our representatives at primaries vote the highest bidder?

At the general elections, don't we get blinded by ethnicity and religious bigotry?

That said, where is the Ministry of Labor when you need them? They turn blind eyes to reality.
