And I will repeat it clearly and very simple.... that set back you have built on and that certificate you have...you will collect at the right time. Go fight with your anus over those punished right now.

And I repeat, your stand shows where you live. Where you live is important. You are a real Nigerian with that fraudulent mentality. But I trust that govt. You go collect at the right time
Keep arguing. grin

Enugu govt paid no one any compensation. Go fight over it. A fact that is there.

No matter what you write...you go still collect like those people. grin Argue further with your keyboard....you go still collect. Shikena!

Typical of a Nigerian who resorts to abuse as a way of escape.

I will repeat, if those guys have some approvals, how the approval was gotten is less important when it comes to their compensation.

I don't want to reply to you...but I need to...stop twisting this issue. You said the owners should be compensated if they have the documents even if a bribe was paid. You care less about the process. Is compensation prosecuting? Stop twisting your words. Like I said...I overrated you. You live in Niaja cos no one who is presently living in a normal society can write these things you write.

No matter what you write again, I won't reply you. If you have your house built beyond the approved setback, it will be crushed. Period. Know this and have peace. And have it at the back of your mind.....you did not pay govt the bribe....you paid an individual. The discussion is govt vs the owners. And get it right the way the law is. Do I need to spell A to Z out for an adult? Only Nigerian adults deliberately do bad things and claim their rights.

I am amazed...yet you confidently put rubbish up. grin Don't worry... don't go remove the structure on the setback you have built on....that paper you hold...present it and expect a claim. That will be what will land you in jail...cos a thorough investigation will be carried out. Go...d prove your point you have a genuine document. You will tell them how you got that genuine document. grin se u wan prove you are smart.

Fact is we are the one insinuating bribe was paid because they could get permits without bribe. Since most are claiming that in Nigeria, bribe has to be paid to get the approval, then those owners need be compensated because they got approval.

I don't know why you need everyone to suite your narrative. I would reiterate my point, if they have government approval irrespective of how it is gotten, they should be compensated.

You assume too much. That I insist the right of owners who were permitted need be honored doesn't mean I have a property there. If I do and I have a permit, surely, I would seek compensation as it is my right by law.

As for where I live, that shouldnt be your worry.

If you aren't in Nigeria, then, it is worthless to try to explain further...but if you are in Naija...you just want to extend this talk. Cos nothing is normal in Naija.

Have you heard the phrase: "The giver and taker of bribe are guilty"?
One pays a bribe and you are saying the person needs compensation......A beg...no fall my hand. Let's end it here. Perhaps I overrated you.

Take care!

Like I said, if it was bribe, both should be prosecuted. We cannot hang it on insinuations that all approvals are gotten through bribe.

See what someone's 9 months is saying.
Let me help you out, if they got it through bribe, there is an evidence that it was approved thus, the state needs compensate them.

Not what you think sir. The original plans most of them got approval for are within setbacks. They deliberately take gates and fences beyond setbacks...and the security room by the gate is placed beyond it too. I have seen owners who even asked builders to extend the building beyond the architectural plans. It is like you aren't based in Nigeria. Lol.

Even if they got approval .....they paid bribes to get such. Should they still be compensated or fined?

To the 1st one in italics, if builders are asked to extend building beyond architectural plans without proper approval, then the owners do not deserve compensation however, government officials should have highlighted/earmarked the building since the violation was noticed.

On the second, if they got it through bribe, they should be compensated as there is an evidence of the approval except there is a document showing they bribed their ways and in such a case, the government can prosecute such officials and property owners.

I know you write good stuff, but I guess you didn't read the article well. Govt compensates when doing road expansion and only compensates owners..in this case, the owners knew where their land stops, but they decided to expand it illegally towards the road. So, anything outside the borderline is crushed. See...they are supposed to give those owners tickets. They should pay for the demolition like how that govt made Odumeje or whatever his name is paid for the demolition of his church after collecting enough slaps.

They arent destroying the whole buildings...just crushing the part that were built on the roads.

In my understanding, they could have encroached government lands however, did they not get approval for the building? If they did, don't you think they should be adequately compensated?

Why use people's money to send someone abroad? Do they pick money on the streets abroad? I am sure he didn't come on an investor's visa or a permanent residence which means he is illegal if he chooses to work. How was she and the partner thinking of paying back? They are very wicked and should be punished.

Serendipity2023:
Till date, a man will live abroad then deceive a young girl into marrying him.

Most times, the younger brother stands in his stead for the marital rites.

The abroad man promises to get her papers to join him abroad.

He would keep the girl in Nigeria, preferably with his mum, then stays several years abroad with one-per-year visits or at times, no visits at all.

He might get the girl pregnant in the process.

He equally has a wife abroad.

The abroad man in connivance with his family members especially the mum, knew he had no intentions of getting these papers.

They knew he had kids and wife abroad.

They end up wasting the girl's youth.

These are the evils that men and women do!

Isn't this generalizations very wrong? How many Nigerian men are abroad and how many of them do you use as your sample? If this in your sample, how many did this?

Family / Re: My Journey To Ikoyi Prison by GboyegaD(m): 12:28am On Dec 22, 2023
It is well. My experience in the cell was in 1998 and it was about 4 hours. The police picked me up during their raid at Tincan Island. I was slapped by a useless police officer because I asked for his warrant of arrest. My mom had to bail me with N2500. She was there when I was picked and asked the question. She had to beg me to follow the police men because for me, I felt I was been humiliated on my right.

The cell was pretty empty and sincerely, I slept off where I sat. I guess it was because I knew my mom was surely coming to bail me that very day.

Sorry about your story but 13 months was such a long time. Were you able to pay back the money?

🤣 I am yet to see a mentally sound human attending that church.Their doctrines are so bizarre that I wonder if it's the God we know that they worship.
The atmosphere of the church is a perfect ground for incestuous relationships like this.
This church of lunatics has caused the avoidable deaths of accident victims and chronically sick people, due to their demented extremist doctrine of avoiding all forms of contact with blood which include blood transfusions. The unfortunate religious fools will die due to refusal to blood transfusion and other fools will tag it God's will.
Lol! These religious lunatics are very argumentative, always trying to win people over but never visiting other churches, very fanatical about their doctrines.
No wonder Russia in times past declared them an extremist group and persecuted them very well.

When you don't understand something, it is very normal for you to draw such conclusions; however, it doesn't necessarily depict wisdom.
That said, let people decide what works for them and not you trying to help them make their decision.

The topic, I have read it over many times and still can't make out the meaning.

The body, not sure I understand the writer's opinion as intended. Is the writing opining that it is a good car to buy because of its low cost of maintenance and fuel saving ability or a bad car to buy because of the high rate of theft/vandalism of the vehicle?

For the last question, I think one's intention of owning a car and one's maintenance budget for a car should guide. I have a Corolla and while the OP stated the maintenance cost is cheap, I do not think so when I compare it to my Honda. At each routine maintenance, there's always something to fix and this is just a 3years old vehicle.

Again, it was the statement you made regarding values that got me chiming in. If values allows a man to have all the sex he desires to satiate his libido then the same values should apply as far as a woman. undecided

Also, I stated that my response was not an attempt to hold brief for the other but to cut at what I perceived was based on some form of unrecognized bias. undecided

You keep twisting the thing I said over and over again. I never talked about men having values or otherwise when it comes to sex. All I said about values is that she can't give herself away and then turn to blame the men for asking. If you don't get it at this point and want to keep arguing, I can't help any further.
