Don"t want to say anything so i'm not quoted but there are various news. One thing for sure is that it is definitely happening this year and hasn't been cancelled. There was a management meeting on Monday and a board meeting today. Some rumors claim that the Monday meeting approved the process and from next week APL's will flow but i cant vouch for them because this is not a direct source just a hanger by in the towers that told me this.

The only two concrete sources said the same thing. it hasn't been cancelled and it is definitely happening this year. that's all they could give me. These sources i trust because they are definitely in the know. they are just being discreet

That's not how NNPC works. lol. It can be budgeted for but there's still a process before you get paid. As the money comes in, HQ accounts has to determine what to pay after salaries, outstanding payments to vendors, claims from staff etc. It is all not paid at once. So like i said, the last couple of weeks there were no funds allocated to that. expect payments to resume from this week to next week

No payment was allocated because everyone has been paid. All dates have received a massive payment.
If atall payment resumes after a break of 2 weeks, the access bank theory would come up again.
I personally think payment has been concluded.
Even when the suspension rumor was at its peak, payment was still made because all dates had not received massive payment.
The recruitment is moving forward please.
Everyone should just expect Interview success notifications now and take your mind off payment.
If you still get paid after now, thank God.
I’d just advise everyone to focus on the next line in the itinerary.

It’s strange. The only logical explanation is that It your performance is quite good but not very good, Shell would wait to see if a better candidate surface. In the absence of none, they would progress your application but where you seem to be in the lower echelon performance wise, you get regretted.
They are contacting the outstanding performers first. Uncontacted candidates would have to exercise patience till regretted.

My job role has very few professionals in Nigeria/Oil and Gas, the last job I took up with Oando, I was the only finalist for that job role out of hundreds of thousands who wrote the test, whereas other areas like HSE, Finance, Business Development etc. had scores of people remaining.

Very few people more qualified than I am professionally will apply to NNPC. It's only interesting to me because I just hit the number of years needed to apply for a more snr level than I am now in the industry.

My interview went very well.

As long as they will recruit up to 2 people for that role, I'll be there.

Some people are asking how true is this, all I can tell you its based on Wat I was told me. My uncle work @NETCO Lagos. He is an engineer there. When we did the cbt, I asked him wen they will call d successful candidates n he told me it shouldn't be more than a month. And again after the interview ,I asked wen they will contact the successful candidates. He said its stage by stage, that while selection is going on, they will be paying d tf. He said it shouldn't take more than 1month. Lo and behold, after one month, no apl. August ending, I asked again. He said "why are you anxious like this, if they finish payments, they will go to the next stage. He said he could confirm they have finished collation of list. I know this is true because I can tell from here that they are still paying people as at d beginning of September. We met yesterday evening, and I told him they have finished paying people. He laughed and said "how did u know that? Are u working with the recruitment team" I told him I found out based on d discussions on nairaland that d last time they paid was on Monday and some of us concluded that they have finished paying. He told me we might not be hundred percent correct, that wat abt those that are not on nairaland. And he called one of his colleagues at d headquarters n asked and that one said the reccruitment team has d approved list of the successful candidates already. And they will start sending mail if they finish payment of tf. Brothers and sisters, that's how I postulated my own theory o.

Beautiful! Atleast we are sure that they cannot pay till next year and the rubbish news about cancellation. Did you also inquire about the style of payment? You made mention that as selection is going on, payment will be made. Does this mean there’s some sort of criteria

It’s likely no more payments since nothing happened today, unpaid candidates would have to wait for next week. If nothing happens, they might be left to their fears.

4rm an objective point of view I dnt think dis recruitment exercise all of a sudden became slow n fishy cause if u check, d test was cbt dey culd ve released its result d followin week buh dy didn't, wich I feel dy wer takin dia time 2 ensure dy set d cut off 2 capture the number of candidates dy can accommodate 4 interview.so my point is if d time btw cbt(wich ws automatic) n notification of successful cbt candidates took 1 month it's fair if d time BT interview(wich ws manual) n APL disbursements 2 b 2months considerin d fact dat dy ve 2 check number of persons needed in a particular department, SBU; location of candidates so as 2 knw wer 2 send em, n sumother variables.

I understand but my proposition is based on APL coming out next year. I really don’t have a problem with APL coming anytime this year.
Whatever makes APL to be released next year will be strange and needs explanation. That’s my point.

TMC just needs to sit cause all has been finalized,and the source categorically stated as far as can tell the list cannot be altered at this stage..although the person asked me if I have anyone helping me out in Abuja....

NB: the person is a staff and I’m presently in one of the SBUs at the moment..
My aim is always to calm nerves in the face of tension..let’s keep hope alive...

The results are already out don’t you get. That’s the cause for the alarm. But it’s been withheld and we are in the dark as to why .

Is there a way we can ask Nnpc for an update in a civilized but public fashion? Let’s brainstorm here.
To the guys saying wait and it will come out whenever it comes out, it’s unfortunate.
Nobody should compare this recruitment to the last. Everyone knows how Nnpc has followed this process up from inception till now. It has been fast and transparent. If all of a sudden it starts becoming so slow and shady, we should demand an explanation.
If Nnpc can public display their activities, I had seen one on their official Twitter handle or so. The recruitment should not be different.

No payment till Friday. This has been the trend for 3 weeks now. Like I said earlier it’s Mondays and Fridays unless altered.
I believe in the transparency preached by Nnpc but one has to query his mind. Why are all the sauces telling their candidates to pray hard.
I believe Nnpc would help the local men. I believe in a greater Nigeria. I believe in a bright tomorrow.

During the last few days, I’ve always constructed messages to say but I end up clearing it for certain purposes.

It’s not logical that there should be any correlation between Apl and Tf. If some people were paid higher than others, that could become logical. If people are not paid, they should hold on as it most likely is a delay or an error somewhere
