Danielhouston:
You just wrote a bunch of nonsense and made me angry. NOTHING you wrote is true. Why do people do this? Why would a refugee lose his previous educational achievement? Who told you they only do hustling jobs and need approval to travel? All a bunch of nonsense.

A refugee DOES NOT lose any educational achievement, whether past, present or future. A refugee can also attend a University like every other student in Germany up to any level they want. They can get ANY job they qualify for.

You also do not need permission to travel. You have freedom of movement. Only people who need permission to travel are those who depend on job center (government assistance) and that applies to EVERYONE, including German citizens who are on job center money. That is because you cannot say you’re unemployed and you’re getting money from the government and traveling as much as you want to enjoy yourself.

So please, get the hell out of this thread with all those lies and misinformation:
Oga you can get angry as much as you want, the truth remains the truth.

This is the last time I will response to this, since you are intolerant of views different from yours.

How many of the black Asyl seekers have eventually gone back to school? Is it the one that has changed name from Solomon to Abubakar to have his Asyl approved or the Nigerian that claim to be from Congo. Please tell your readers how they will attend university as Abubakar with Solomon's credentials.

What is the population of Nigerian Asyl seekers that eventually even learn German talkless of now working professional Jobs?

Finally, I hope you are not confusing Syrian refugees with black asylum seekers? We all know blacks tell all sort of unheard lies to get asylum approved.

What's on paper is always different from reality.

Peace out.
TravelRe: Being Black In Berlin/germany by Gcapable(m): 6:45pm On May 18, 2020
I personally think that a refugee status is better than a student status. Refugees can work full time without restrictions and still go to school. They can also do Ausbildung and take free German language lessons. Refugees have a better chance of staying in Germany than a student. They can apply for WBS, receive unemployment benefits and other things students are not entitled to.
Some students also became refugees.
I must really commend you in taking your time to write and enlighten people about the reality of been a black person in Germany. And I agree with most things and topic you have touched on.

However, most people would take the bolded as absolute while in reality it is not so.

1. No student in his or her right senses would drop student status for Asyl Status - meaning a student status is better.

2. Most black Asyl always have unconscious natural beef for students - Why? You have what takes/would take them years and lots of lying to achieve.

3. In most cases, Asyl process takes 5-10years - a shortcut to a very long Autobahn, many people lose their identity, every educational achievement they have prior to seeking Asyl, hence they could no longer further their education in Germany, all they can do is hustling jobs. Even sometimes after getting your Asyl approved, especially if the person is not working, the person still have restriction of movement - you need approval to travel on holiday, your account is been controlled, you are asked to come to the office every now and then. In short, all your life is been controlled.

Having interacted with lots of blacks Asyl seekers and hearing their stories (both approved and unapproved), I do not wish it for my enemies sef. Noone should take this path except, the person has already given up on his/her dreams and aspirations in life.

Nothing beats relocating abroad legally - (Student, Working Visa, Family Reunion, Visa Lottery, All Point Based Migration-Express Entry, etc).

Thanks for the clarification but what of those going for bachelors and already have admission letter?
Jossan:
Hello, read carefully as this post is not meant to engage or reply anyone. If you have been admitted and graduated with a grade that span from first class to second class lower, Nigeria grade system, you are allowed to book category A. It is enough as proof. Otherwise book category B if no requirement is met. Just one is required.
Some of you have made good observations but I am not here to defend or fault any organization or entity. Your best chance is A category. Enough of your calls and mails already.
Note, it does not mean you can not get a date in B category but those in B category are meant to be very few due to their qualifications and given a date from July to September until they are reshuffled and required to ask for date again for the next semester. You would notice, August has been given already with little people to show for it while Category A keeps getting dates and still in July. That’s enough. Good luck.

Basalt:
My brother, there is absolutely no reason to congratulate someone who fail one course three times. It shows unseriousness, It shows incompetence.
Though I have never failed any course since I was born but If I fail one course just once, I will feel so devastated and be motivated to make A the second time.
There is only two words to use to qualify someone who fail one particular course three times.
1. Incompetence
2. Unseriousness
Ok bro. I wish you the very best with your studies in Germany
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In Germany..how Do You Survive?? by Gcapable(m): 12:43pm On May 15, 2019
Easy Tiger. I can assure you that you will doubt your Bsc in your 1st few weeks in class and this will continue unless you do some catch up on your own.
Basalt:
But I really find it hard to imagine how someone will fail one course three times.
I mean, can someone explain to me because it's too difficult for me to figure out.

How can you write course one time, fail.
Write another time, and fail.
Write on the third time and fail.

For me, it means you are not competent for that course and should be immediately dismissed not only from the department but also have your student visa revoked for that particular course of interest

This insults and name calling is the main reason why many people already in Germany would not come here to share their experiences.

Anyways what do people already in Germany know?

Does the applicant need a visa for a long-term stay of more than 3 months (for a language course or a degree, or for Syrian refugees with family in Berlin)?

If so, please submit your declaration of commitment to:
Sachgebiet IV B 1 des LABO, Lise-Meitner-Straße 1, 10589 Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Normally the sponsor sends his/her documents to the email
IV_B1_GPF@labo.berlin.de for pre-checking, after which an appointment is made.

acedboss:
Thanks for the info. could you kindly drop the address of the long term SL office in Berlin so that he can pass it on to his Sponsor?
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Gcapable(m): 7:28am On Jan 06, 2019
Your sponsor must have gone to the wrong office. In Berlin,
the office for short term SL is different from the office for Long term SL and in fact they are in different location.

In most cases, a lot of wanna be sponsors are not qualified to sponsor based on different criterias
flouxpar:
My sponsor tried to get one for me from Berlin but he was told at the alien office that they don't give out SL for the purpose of study again, only for short stay, probably because it's use has been abused, I can't say for sure. He had to get a friend of his to get it done for me from another state.

P.S. - He tried several times but he wasn't successful but it was very easy for his friend from another state.

Ndydy:
Hello please when asked what your plans are after your Masters degree during your Visa interview, what would be an appropriate response especially if you would like to work in Germany to gain additional work experience. Thank you
Personally, there are 3 possible responses to the question what are your plans after study?

1. You can say you are coming back to Nigeria after studies to impact your knowledge blablablabla. The follow up questions is always to do what and where will you work? If you have satisfactory answers to the questions, then this should be your response.

2. You can say you will stay for your Masters or PhD. The follow up questions will be questions about Masters or PhD studies like how many years, in what field, what is a Masters or PhD grade, what will be your potential research topic etc. If you are vast in these areas, then this should be your response.

3. You can say you will like to work for a while before returning to Nigeria (especially if your course doesnt have a compulsory internship or you dont have a prior working experience) because:
A. You will like to give back to the country that offered you quality and free education by paying taxes and contributing to the pension fund (Germany no de joke with the 2)
B. You will love to have a practical experience in an international working environment for atleast 6months or a year before returning home (you are doing this to be at an advantage when you are back in Nigeria because every company values work experiences over certificate only). This will put you in a better position in the labour force and guarantee you securing a job when you are back.

P.S. whatever your response is be sure to be able to answer the follow-up questions and justify your choice with sound and rational reasons. People have said they are coming back to Nigeria and got rejected, same way people have said they are staying back and got approved. What guarantee your visa are the reasons behind your choices.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Gcapable(m): 12:13pm On Jan 06, 2018
This will be my last post about this issue.

The "Homeland Immigration office" as you call it is also responsible for issuing passports, yet every embassy issues passports to their citizen living abroad.

The same city office is responsible for issuing Birth and Death Certificate, yet this same embassy issues these certificates to citizens living abroad.

These same embassy process tax, pension, marriages and many other services for the citizen abroad. The embassy is much more than a visa issuing institute.

If the embassy doesnt offer such service, it wont be on its website.

P.S. Nobody is an island of knowledge. There are a lot of rights, privileges and information which we dont know about because we are not informed about them and we dont discuss about them. The fact that we are not informed about them doesnt mean they dont exist.
For example, it use to be the norm in part 1 of this thread that when apply for student visa, you just have to wait till the embassy write you to come until someone wrote the foreigners office of his city to enquire about tge status of his visa before it became the norm on this thread (you have the right to be concern about your visa status when the 8weeks the embassy specified lapse). The same way many didnt know about appealing a rejection even though the embassy do write it on the rejection letter until esdajo did and was issued the visa.
Dankeschon:
Please bro, he's right; German embassy or Consulate DOES NOT issue VPEs (as some people call it), except you guys are referring to some other document. Homeland Immigration offices do that, located in each town, and the issuing office has to be the one of the town your sponsor lives in.
However, if a German citizen is resident in another country, and wants to sponsor his/her relative, he might go to the embassy in the country he is resident in, and plead with them to have his home-town issue a VPE and send it through the embassy.
Sometimes, we forget these institutions are set up for specific/particular purposes, embassises are foreign diplomatic institutes, they are not also saddled with internal issues. You're also aware that not only German citizens can request for VPEs foreigners also can, and it's the homeland Immigration offices that have the detailed data of each person in each town.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Gcapable(m): 11:46am On Jan 06, 2018
You are entitled to your opinion but dont state your opinion as a fact. The fact remain sponsorship letter can be obtain from German mission abroad. I dont say what i dont know for a fact

Have made enquire about it from tge Embassy and you are told its not possible?

Are you saying the embassy that put this on its website doesnt know its doing?
Olanrewaju92:
If I dont know this, I accept but I explained on basis of my understanding and u should respect the fact that no one is an island of knowledge. I used this said letter we re talking about and b4 I got it, my Uncle based in the UK enquired from their consulate, they didn't understood what he was saying not to talk of telling him they can issue it. I can see u love criticism even though ur response is far from respecting my opinion.
I barely see u made one reasonable post only for u to come here and rant about d wrong in ones opinion.
Do urself a favour by being amongst those that would be willing to help answer questions here rather than being a hard critics. Bless you

Problem with Nigerians we say what we dont know. What you dont know... you dont know it bro. Get yourself informed. Peace
Olanrewaju92:
What are you saying?

It's a sponsors auslanderbehorde that issues a VERPFLICHTUNGSERKLARÜNG
not any German Embassy of a country.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Gcapable(m): 2:29pm On Jan 05, 2018
Like i said earlier she can get it from the US. If you are still in doubt, make her call the German Embassy in the US and ask if its possible or not.
COA1:
That was what I used to think too. My intending sponsor is now a Citizen (not just a resident) & the company she works for is headquartered in Germany where she had been working until her recent transfer to their branch in US. I believe she earns way above the amount needed (judging by the company's reputation, E.ON).

Well, I'll give myself no worries, I believe God will help me sort things out when the time comes. Thanks for your response
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Gcapable(m): 2:24pm On Jan 05, 2018
The Sponsor can also get it from Nigeria. e.g. Mr. A is a German citizen who works with Julius Berger in Nigeria. Mr. A got married to a Nigerian and he is willing to sponsor his wife's brother for a Masters in Germany. Mr. A mustn't travel to Germany to get the sponsorship letter, all Mr. A have to do is go to German Embassy in Nigeria and the letter will be issued.
Immafrank:
I think it can only be gotten from Germany cuz the criteria is that the person must be a resident in Germany and he/she must be working in Germany and earning a certain amount.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Gcapable(m): 10:18am On Jan 05, 2018
It doesn't matter. Infact she doesnt have to come to germany to get it, she can easily get the letter from German Embassy in the US.
COA1:
I really appreciate everyone's comment on this thread, I can even become a consultant now after reading through & following for few months.

Pls I have a question. I applied for 2018 winter session and discussed with the person I want to write sponsorship letter for me this Christmas period. She is German citizen but was posted by her company to a branch in US & will be relocating this January. She tried to get it done b4 travelling to US on the 6th but was told it can only be done 6 months to the time of my visa at the earliest otherwise it becomes invalid.

Will her status be a problem when she decides to do it sometime later this year, since she promised to get it done once she has a business trip or something else that brings her to Germany b4 my visa interview?
NB: She is still a German citizen, but will now be working in the US.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Gcapable(m): 8:30am On Dec 20, 2017
Update from the embassy as at yesterday from a friend's experience:

1. Visa fee - 29,000

2. Advised to fund after 3weeks of interview or get your application rejected.

P.S. For those doing panic appointment booking be guided accordingly.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Gcapable(m): 7:39pm On Dec 15, 2017
honourableseyi:
Depending on the number of months you have left. You can renew it in Nigeria or in Berlin when you enter Germany. However, you need to know that, during the residence permit application, if your foreigner's office is giving 2yrs, and your passport validity is a year or less, you will only get a year or less. They can't give you more than the validity of your passport. Shalom
Most of these rules and laws you state are written rules and laws everywhere in Germany but in practice, what obtains in Berlin is different. Berlin will give you permit that is more than the validity of your passport. When you even try to point it out, you will be told to come back with the new passport when you have it and they will transfer your permit to it. This is not just from personal experience but from experiences of others in Berlin too.

I dont know which state in Germany you live in but a lot of impossibles in other states are to a very reasonable extent possible in Berlin. Probably because of the high population here.

Not really. The new president is from another party (SPD) this has only increased their chances against Market's CDU in the September election. In short, both SPD and CDU are anti-trump but you wont want AfD winning the elections
honourableseyi:
Which in turn gives Merkel hope in the September election for Trump is anti Merkel too

Buy your car from Europe jeje. How will you live in Europe and end up buying a car in Nigeria. The car you are going to buy in Nigeria where is it from? Moreso, cars are quite expensive in Nigeria now due to the exchange rate
MercyLady3:
How safe (risky) is shipping a car from Europe to Naija as I am studying here.

I would use a car once I get to Naija.

Would you buy in Naija jeje or try your luck and take the risk with the ones in Europe.

Don't forget the shipping wahala and lots of that. I need more enlightenment on this.

Thanks.
