hello docs(stricticly for doctors pls) ,someone very close to me(identity hidden) has pheripheral neuropathy especially 'burning feeling on the foot' which is so uncomfortable and this happens mostly every night,shes diabetic and her sugar level dz week is 3.9.this happens when she eats starchy foods or eat much(the burning feeling) but whenever she eats unripe plantain called ogede dudu in yoruba lang and garden egg she does nt feel the burning feeling. shes now lean because she eats that every day and bcus she doesnt wanna eat to satisfaction.pls doctors i need your advices on treatments and medications or what could be done pls.thanks

It depends on your school though.... But basically, in year two I did:, gross anatomy(study of macroscopic anatomy), embryology (study of how different organs/systems/tissues originated), histology (study of microscopic anatomy), functional anatomy (study of the functions and adaptations of different organs/systems /tissues), depending on your school now, you may do biochemistry(protein, carbohydrate, lipid metabolism, study of biomolecules, DNA/RNA metabolism, etc) and physiology(renal physiology, respiratory physiology, physiology of excitable tissues, neurophysiology, etc), you will do gss courses too.
For "etc", I can't remember others, it's been quite a number of years now.

For recommended textbooks,
For gross anatomy, I used Gray's anatomy(my best), Last's anatomy, clinical anatomy and Frank Netter's Atlas
For histology, I used functional histology and Indebir Singh's histology (my best)
For embryology, I used Langman's embryology (my best).
For functional anatomy, I used my lecture notes/internet
For physiology, I used Essentials of physiology (my best), guyton's physiology
For biochemistry, I used principles of biochemistry (my best), Harper's biochemistry

lol o see u my sister studies biochem ,the course simple die compared to pharm.Sho fe ma fiku worun ni.biochem is BMS pharm is clinicals, its just like comparing anatomy or physiology to medicine or internal surgery. bro its not done buh any course is simple sha its depends on your level of seriousness nd God.thanks
