You are becoming infamous as a purveyor of falsehood. Please quote the US laws regulating religion.Have you ever gone through the first amendment and its statuteson making laws on religion by the Congress. You always try to sound cerebral but you are very hollow on most issues you try to dabble into.I think you are not worth paying attention to but you will certainly get called out if you continue to peddle falsehood.

SMH for this CAN of hypocrites

US has laws regulating Religion

UK has laws regulating Religion

Israel has laws Regulating Religion

but bring such to backward Africa and watch them turn it to something to fight about

Yes we have Freedom of speech, however if you say any treasonable anti national word, you are guilty of a capital crime, if you use your speech to tarnish other peoples images you are guilty of Libel or defamation, If you use speech to decieve people for gratification or money you are guilty of fruad.

We have Freedom of Religion and Association, however if an Imam wakes up one morning and calls for the killing of people who dont share his faith, then we need a law that would postulate apporpraite punishment for him

Most of this Ignorant Biased Hypocrite havent even read a copy of the proposed law

Anyways even Jesus said "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven".

Quack lawyer spotted.
Bizlifelines201:
The status quo is that the license has been suspended. Apparently this judge has read the condemnations across board against the intransigence of DAAR.
NBC should treat the case and sanctioning of DAAR and the recalcitrant personnel separately. The court never stated expressly the May 30 and that's why the writer can't quote the court but gave his own interpretation of the status quo. The court didn't grant a restraining order on the account of this report and quoting the writer without the quote of the court is the same as quoting the writer's interpretation.

"Jonathan asked the DSS to mob up" It is pathetic that at this level you don't know the difference between mob and mop. Please spare me the typo excuse as you took your time to post this write up going by the way the points were well marshalled.Only that you still dwell in the stone age by using numbering instead of bullet points.
NgeneUkwenu:
Before you allow the foolish ipob Miscreants to shape your opinion on this issue:

Remember:

1.PDP/NBC under Yar Adua suspended CHANNELS TV for violating NBC rules, democracy was not under threat.

2.PDP under Jonathan suspended ADABA radio(a subsidiary of Tinubu's TVC), for breaching broadcast rules, Democracy was "flourishing"

4. Jonathan asked the DSS to mob up all the Newspapers belonging to leadership.

AIT has been suspended and fined by NBC for several and consistent violations of broadcast ethics, failure to pay their licence fees as at when due, despite several written warnings.

Ait like Twitter, Facebook, Nairaland, WhatsApp etc has regulatory supervisions, if you contravene any of their codes, you would be sanctioned including Suspension or outright ban..

Whipping up sentiments on the social media, won't help their cause. If they feel aggrieved, they should approach the courts for remedy..After all, NCC sanctioned MTN we all hailed, is it because it is a South African company?

I6 Governors POC.
lekanolas:
The 15 governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have met in Abuja to discuss the party’s position on the forthcoming June 11 election of the principal officers of the Ninth National Assembly.

The meeting, which started in the wee hours of Friday morning was hosted by Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, who doubles as the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, at the state Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

The PDP governors’ intervention might not be unconnected with the divided positions of the PDP National Assembly members-elect.

Apart from the governors, the meeting was also attended by the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and the National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus

The governors and the party leaders are said to be worried that the divided positions of the PDP National Assembly members-elect might not ensure a block vote for the party’s choice of presiding officers.

The governors are expected to present their positions to the party’s National Assembly members-elect , ahead of their own meeting today.

The PDP National Assembly caucus is expected to meet Friday night to harmonise their positions for the voting on Tuesday.

NewsDay also gathered that the PDP governors at the meeting also harmonise their positions ahead of the their meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari today.

President Buhari is expected to meet with the 36 governors of the federation to consider steps to tackle the worsening insecurity in the country.

Today’s meeting, with the president presiding, will also discuss debts inherited by the governors, which they claimed would make governance difficult in their respective states.

Friday’s meeting with the President followed a resolution of the governors during their first meeting after the election of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF).

When Emir Sanusi pointed out that according to UNDP 2016 statistics, Lagos has a poverty rate of 8.6% while Zamfara has a 91% poverty rate and even Kano has a 89% poverty rate, was he also “trolling” Northerners? When the same Emir Sanusi at the Kaduna State Investment Forum (and other fora) questioned why unemployed or underemployed Northerners would brag about having 20+ children (he nonetheless noted the irony of his own large family), who are then all but abandoned under the guise of Almajiri, was he “trolling” Northerners? When the same Emir Sanusi noted that disgracefully most of the out-of-school children are in the North, was that “on and on trolling Northerners”? What should actually ruin your “Aboki friend’s mood” (and not merely for the day, but for years) should be the grim REALITY of much of the North.

Quite interesting, the custom or tradition should be totally expunged.I knew then it was meant to deter people from breeding recklessly but life is so dynamic, what is right today might be wrong tomorrow.
Barryseal:
I don't know about British law and frankly I don't care. Nigeria is a sovereign state and Nigerian constitution recognizes customary law. That's why you have customary courts.
In Igbo tradition, you must pay the bride prize of your wife before you're entitled to receive the bride price for your daughter. Otherwise, you're just a live in couple and a child from such union is a love child, which the woman's relative can claim anytime.
As a matter of fact, Regina Daniel should be using her mother's maiden name.

His own daughter!!! There is no law or customs that say a father must marry the mother to have paternal rights. The British even tried it but when they saw how divisive the law became to many families,it was repealed.
Barryseal:
As a matter of fact, he doesn't have a recognized union with Regina's mom based on customary law, he is not entitled to receive bride prize for Regina.
He was just a sperm donor technically speaking. That's customary law going by Igbo and anioma tradition.

The person you called confused is one of the privileged few left that were privy to documents and discussions that led to our Independence. All these later days begging for a section of the country to allow others become President is an aberration.Haven't you heard how the Premier in the north sent his deputy to go and be the prime minister of Nigeria. It shows how unattractive the position was then.UK has 4 major nationalities and I have never heard the Scots or the Welsh agitating or begging the English they want to become prime minister too because there is nothing in there really as their rights and interests are fully protected in the union.Same thing in Switzerland where the country is made up for Germans,French and Italians.Nobody can trample on the rights of another even as smaller component of the Federation.Have you heard Americans arguing over it is the turn of the East or West coast to determine who leads them? That is the true federalism the elder stateman is demanding we run.The reason he supported Buhari in 2007&20011 when he promised them he will restructure Nigeria. Now it is he clear he was lying, just wanted to get back the power for the North.
focus7:
Disgruntled and confused elder.

Does he think fighting for Igbos will make Igbos stop seeing him being a Yoruba as their problem?

Even if you kill the whole Nigeria for Igbos as long as you are Yoruba they still sees you as their problem.

I know what am saying.
Politics › Re: Ayo Adebanjo: No Igbo President, No Nigeria by GEEBITE: 2:59pm On Jun 01, 2019
His responses are clear without any form of ambiguity. Dont just whip up all those sentiments that keep dividing the south. The man said we must negotiate Nigeria as equal partners because that is how we got independence. All these later days appealing to sentiments and seeking cooperation of other tribes to become president came as a result of June 12.If a country is truly Federal, whoever is the President will not even matter. An ethnic President is already handicapped just as we saw in Obasanjo(Sharia) and Jonathan(Boko Haram).Any good action taken is seeing from different prisms and often times no progress is made. Buhari as a northern president is already a failure because he hasn't been able to do anything exceptional for the north except his nepotistic appointments which has not translated to the good of the millions of people there living in extreme poverty. We have been hearing lately that the bandits have started migrating down south on kidnapping expeditions as their markets up there is getting drier.
JasonScoolari:
I can see that Ayo Adebanjo is trying to maintain contradictory positions in an attempt to please some people.

We all know that the Afenifere group have been talking from both sides of the mouth about the Igbo Presidency and like I have said before, I don't trust a Yoruba man politically because he still hasn't committed to a clear cause of action and always talking out of both sides of his mouth which is akin to lying.

Sanwo-Olu visits Olusosun dumpsite

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State today visited the Olusosun dump site in furtherance of his pledge to improve the environmental situation as contained in the first Executive Order on Environmental and Sanitation Matters signed recently.

Speaking during a visit to the dumpsite, alongside his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the Governor said: “we are here today to validate the Executive Order we signed. This is where we receive 70 per cent of the waste in Lagos. The facility is 28years old so we want to ensure that it can receive waste for the next 23years’’, he said.

The Governor expressed the possibility of the return of the monthly sanitation exercise after consultations with various stakeholders.

“We are going to ask Lagosians if they want us to return the three-hour monthly sanitation exercise to ensure that we have a cleaner city. Though I have my own view, we will still ask Lagosians,” he said.

He also disclosed the plan to expand the dumpsite to accommodate more waste, saying: "We want to expand the facility to 42 acres so that trucks can have a quicker turn around time".

Sanwo-Olu disclosed that the building under construction at the entrance of the site would be used to train and retrain the staff and create more jobs for the people, adding that the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) would be strengthened to collect recyclable materials necessary for the creation of more jobs.

He expressed confidence that the revenue derivable from waste will be properly harnessed to make life more meaningful to the people of the State.

Adeitanajoke:
A Federal High Court sitting in Jabi area of Abuja has dismissed a suit alleging that the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) falsified his age.

The plaintiff, Mr Tochi Michael alleged that the acting CJN, Justice Tanko Mohammed reduced his age by three years.

Mr Michael alleged that the acting CJN was born on December 31, 1950, and has instead been using December 31, 1953, as his date of birth.

Justice Danlami Senchi while dismissing the suit on Friday said the plaintiff does not have a locus standi to file such a suit as he has not shown how the allegations of falsification of age will cause him any personal injury over and above the general public of Nigerians.

The court also held that the plaintiff did not disclose how he came about the fact that the acting CJN falsified his age as there is no document or evidence before the court to prove that the acting CJN falsified his age.

The trial judge Justice Danlami Senchi said the suit in its entity was meant to scandalise, destroy and malign the acting CJN.

Justice Senchi said such act is capable of bringing the judiciary to disrepute and cannot be allowed to go unpunished.

The court also awarded a cost of N10million against the plaintiff which must be paid within the next three weeks.
