You could not even wait for a X2 return with all those huge moves. I thought you learnt something from your Transcorp experience.

I think this is a clear indication that you lack the necessary trying patience and those strong convictions needed in this field. You should work on this mate. Learn to wait and always do your own digging.
The mischievious shout of casting aside, I really did not know why people were selling at that time. Did they suddenly realize that the agip deal was fake or that the deal would not add anything to Oando? Fear can be a terible weapon fashioned against success.

No matter the loudness of the mischievious shout of negativity, one thing is sure, oando will be here, at least, for the next four years.
I haven't sold a single unit too, only stopped adding more recently. People should learn to sieve noise from substance.

Tinubu is releasing more dollars for oando so it can clear 50% of its debts
This is exactly where their problem lies. Their issue s not with OANDO. The excruciating headache is from the pain of 2023. Street, we understand your pain and, trust me, you are not alone.
However, you are never going to get the relieve you earneastly need from this forum. The people here have moved away from 2023, at least as far as money making is concerned.
Go to FB, X, Nairaland politics where you would meet those who want to wail with you. The people hhere are emotionally intelligent enough to separate issues and forge ahead.

You will do well to download the user manual and carefully go thru it in details.

Very simple to understand and particularly educative when practicing alongside it as you're reading.

Besides, submit button is pressed once, then a pop-up asking you if you want to submit the Order comes up, you just click 'Yes'. Shikena.
Twice, actually, if you are using a computer but once if on a phone.

I would not want to blame anyone here, but my advice is this: before you take someone's opinion about your investments/stocks seriously, try and understand the kind of person, the mentality, level of enlightenment/education, knowledge base, exposure, attitude, manners, psyche, disposition, maturity, intelligence etc. of the person.

There are some folks here that I take their words and opinions seriously because I have been able to assess (from their posts) the kind of persons they are. You don't just listen to every Tom, Dick and Harry!
We should listen to reason and facts, not noises borne out of ignorance and shallowness of the mind!

For example, I am now looking for some money to buy Unity Bank right now, because @Megawealth (one of the refined guys on this platform) has given a recommendation based on some solid strategic insight that he released.
I had also suggested that Intl Breweries would skyrocket after their restructuring and turnaround, but my conviction has been boosted by @OGG who has provided further insights about the potential of the stocks.

I will also consider strongly if someone like @Bovali should recommend a stocks, because she does thorough and professional analysis of stocks (even though I disagreed with her on Oando, which was an exception)

This place is like a market; some people here are just for noise making and nuisance value
When is the Unity Bank coming sef?

Sunrise also said Aradel is on the way wink wink

I just recovered from the psychological trauma. Me wey talk say i no go sell my very plenty oando when the guy was trying to cause panic actually panic sold at N29 and on the same day it started to go back up. Another guy well respected also said here that Oando could crash to N10 simply because he didn't buy when cheap (sour grapeeism). I sold all even when my broker said to keep like half. It really affected me.. i sold all Japaul sef out of depression grin. But i don recover thank God. i have rebought Japaul even more than i had before. Also tripled my Ellah holdings.. as better people dey here na so yeye people dey..

p.s. enjoying the ellah ride. I rebought at giid price.. both ellah and Japaul will be big in the future
This is sad to read. That boy almost made me ran away from here the same day I was let in to the forum. People should learn to ignore him and his multiple monikers.
Glad you recovered.

Understanding the Use of the Last 6 Months Share Price in Delisting on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE)

When a company is listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), its shares can be publicly traded, giving investors the opportunity to buy and sell shares freely. However, there are times when a company may choose to leave the stock exchange, a process known as delisting. In such cases, one important factor that affects shareholders is the share price used to compensate them when the company exits the market.

What is Delisting?

Delisting refers to the removal of a company’s shares from the stock exchange, meaning its shares will no longer be available for trading on the public market. Companies may choose to delist for several reasons, such as:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Financial restructuring
• The company no longer meeting the exchange’s listing requirements
• Voluntary decisions by the company to go private

How Does the Last 6 Months Share Price Apply?

One of the key concerns for shareholders during a delisting process is getting fair value for their shares. According to the NSE rules, especially in cases of voluntary delisting, the share price over the last six months becomes important. Here’s why:

• Shareholder Buyback: In voluntary delisting situations, the company or its core shareholders often need to buy back the shares from minority shareholders who still own a stake in the company. This is to ensure that minority shareholders are not unfairly left behind.
• Determining the Exit Price: The exit price, or the price at which the company buys back shares, is determined by looking at the average market price of the company’s shares over the last six months before the delisting announcement, or the current market price—whichever is higher.

This rule helps protect minority shareholders by ensuring they get a fair price for their shares, based on historical trading activity. The aim is to avoid a situation where a company’s shares are delisted at a much lower value than what the market had been trading at over a reasonable period.

Why the 6-Month Period?

The reason the 6-month period is used is to ensure that the share price reflects a broad and fair assessment of the company’s value over time, rather than relying on short-term fluctuations or sudden drops in price. This period helps smooth out any short-term market volatility and provides a more stable measure of the company’s stock performance.

Key Takeaway for Shareholders

If you are a shareholder in a company that is about to be delisted from the Nigerian Stock Exchange, it is important to understand how the last 6 months’ share price will affect the compensation you receive for your shares. The average price over this period will be used to determine the exit price, ensuring that you get a fair value for your investment.

I’m guessing Flourmills was forced to announce before the price would reach 100 Naira lol.
Thank you.

Well, I thought this wont work since they issued the statement before the price will even get to 70 and above..

So the last 6 months prior to the statement is what counts.
(I stand to be corrected sha.)
Ok. It means the company can unilaterally determine the buy out price without a meeting and consent of the shareholders. What if they refuse to sell like the Oando situation?
Maybe someone with better understanding of the rules can enlighten better.

Without any prophecy, from available public info, you can predict what would be in the anticipated results

*inresased revenue (raising crude production from 5000bpd to 50,000bpd no be moimoi)
*they will still be in debt (no doubt)
*no dividend yet (would be over ambitious to expect dividend earlier than late next year)
*the depth of negative fundamentals will reduce (would be an over performance if they have turned positive already)
*clear path to profitability will be obvious

I think the rule will have to kick in. It would probably depend on the effective date the delisting is approved.

It's well o.
OANDO and particularly the name attached to the company brought out the character you now see. It is never about financials, divedends or whatever they chose to cling to. It is about those they perceived to be behind OANDO.

To be frank, that's not a problem. A lot of folks here don't like that surname too but here is not the place to vent your resentment. People are here to make money and politics is of no primary concern here.

Once upon a time, a wealthy and wise father, gave his two sons, Olu and Ade, equal amounts of money to invest in the Nigeria stock market. Ade, "loves to punch numbers" to find stocks to invest in and regarded other stocks outside this as monkey hunting and gambling. Olu on the other hand, enjoy picking stocks that have large money flowing in & filter social media for news.

Olu noticed stocks that met his criteria and bought them thereby turning his given money by 500%. Ade, because of the economic situation of Nigeria, kept his money because all the stocks rising are regarded MH and gambling.

Months later, their father called them together. He praised Olu for his diligence, foresight, and courage, rewarding him with additional capital to invest. "You've multiplied what was given to you," the father said proudly, "and you shall be entrusted with even greater responsibility."

Turning to Ade, the father expressed disappointment. "You played it too safe, ignoring opportunities in fear and regarding Olu as gambler. You will lose part of your investment allowance and I will give them to Olu.

The characters and events in this story are purely fictional.
