It is doable, just do away with love for any company, only follow whatever that is move but don't be greedy. The most important is learn and best place to learn is here and after here develop your trading instincts and follow the tiny voice in you that will come with it.

Buy FA wey carry rumors
Buy TA wey carry rumors
Buy anything wey NSEMPA support in majority
And be ok with 10%,20%,30% grin
Yeah. I'm taking in all the lessons.
First now, I need to get off the hook of Bamboo and Lambeth Capital They are holding me hostage. They don't provide real time events from the floor of the NSE and their charges makes it extremely difficult to trade on those little profit margins.

I have been imploring and begging them to let me go but they are bent on holding me hostage. If anyone knows how to go about this, Please, help my life.

Yes senior bros, I actually joined last year after my batch A NYSC POP; Entered NSE with about 300k I realized from my service year in Gboko , BENUE STATE. and in one year six months, I have been able to turn my #300k to portfolio size of #19mil. I hope to get to 40 or 50mil by the year end. I am purely an ashawo trader, and has no love for any stock.

My long term goal is to join that long list of Anambra billionaires grin . I hope to do it primarily at first through PORTFOLIO, if buffet could do it then I could do it grin
WOW! This is massive and impressive.

I pray for such fortune.
I started on the 20th June this year with some good seven figures. I paid school fees on my very first sctock grin grin but I am learning the trade and it has been good on the whole.

This forum has been very helpful.

Coming from some who mentioned rat.Dont worry it was not for your type.i know you have a rat investment in oando. And even the whole of the members here can never make me share my portfolio online. I specifically said my bet in oando and it was what I can afford to lose
Why does the "rat" bothers you? I thought you said you're not that clown?

Bro, my "rat" investment in Oando is not into any competition with your "elephant" investment. This is what you don't get. You need to make conscious effort to address this character defect in your personality.

No matter what you think you have or have achieved, learn to respect others and let them be. You don't even know me!

Post it if it will make you feel good about yourself.

You don't get it. Do you?

I don't know if you feed any of the forum members here but I can assure you, the size of your portfolio is so irrelevant to most people's activities on and off here.
They don't call you to feed them when they lose money in any stock and so you need to cut out the mockery.

Cast anything you want to cast, it's your opinion afterall, but don't feel attacked when peolple defy your casting, it is their choice.
You tagged me from my very first post here without me even having any knowledge of who anyone of you here is.

Grow up. Do you and let others be.

It promises to be a good week on many fronts.

The empty chest beating noise makers who think it's a competition here can continue to revel in their low self esteem while the silent "audio" investors/traders continue to do their things.

Linkassure is another stock to watch out for.

only one man disturbing this honourable forum with 2 handles. When O and O is doing well, he will come with one and start blabbing like a stacked illiterate that he is, and when they are not doing well, he will come with cast. Even, if you don't have reasonable work doing, why not go and sleep. Afterall, sleep is good for your health. I don't know the joy he derived from the going down of O and O, only sadist behaves that way.

Oando is a stock like any other stock on the NSE. There is bound to be profit taking and support at a particular point, which happened last week and someone is busy shouting cast, here and there... as if he just started stock investment yesterday

O and O casting the caster since 1800.... grin
Ignore the rat. He is not worth your attention.

A motivation for new members.
The Nigerian market is full of ups and downs.
1. Don't time the market like Oga Agba; you'll miss out on the best days in the market.
2. Wealth is transferred from impatient to patient investors - be patient.
3. Stay current in the market like NSEMPA members.
4. Information is key to value investing.
5. Investing is simple; you don't need to master complex charts - you're not a trader. Trading is difficult in NGX due to relatively low liquidity.
6. Set SMART goals; they're achievable.
7. Ask questions; many are willing to help.
8. Be consistent; avoid FOMO syndrome.
9. Seize the day after due diligence; don't wait for others' approval.
10. Ignore discouraging comments from friends and family.
11. Equity investment proceeds can purchase your dream real estate.
12. Don't invest emergency funds in equity; the risks outweigh the benefits.
13. Don't regret selling underrated stocks; it happens to all investors.
14. Knowing when to sell can be challenging due to emotional attachment.
15. Prepare for red days, which come as market corrections (<10% downward in market value), bearish potential (<20% downward), or the black market day (massive sell-off due to bad news or government policies). Portfolio diversification is the 🔑 keyword, NCA 17. NCA, Naira Cost Average in quality stocks can be rewarding. It keeps your portfolio greenish, otherwise you remain in red zone.
16. Choose your broker wisely. Brokerage fees at the point of purchase can significantly erode your gains. For example:
- 0.4% commission on N1M is N4,000 (Citi Trader)
- 0.5% commission on N1M is N5,000 (Morgan)
- 1.35% commission on N1M is N13,500 (others)
*****Excludes VAT, SEC, and CSCS alert fees***
Bamboo is the worst. They charge 1.5% on considerations. Very cruel!

Thank you for those points.

I envy you ooo. 70k units is huge right now. My fear is that with a Dangote refinery working next month, the news alone will drive huge foreign investments into Nigeria capital market mainly targetting the Oil and Gas shares. Oando happens to be the cheapest oil shares right now (I mean oil and gas with prospect).

I predict Oando will see ₦100/share in September cos the market sentiment and early positioning is pushing this stock really hard.
There is every indication to hope that the stock will continue to do well at least in the next few years.

There will also be opprtunities to pick up more units at pull backs.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange is set for an explosion when Dangote finally lists the refinery on the exchange. can't wait.

Oando is consistently doing 10% growth for the past days now. This stock seem to be heading towards ₦100.

The momentum is not waning soon, the buy orders are not fulfilling... It is taking forever to get in.

I currently have 50,000 units of Oando, I am regretting why I didn't do 200,000 units. I bought ₦20+
My first pick was @15, raised the units to 54k @20 and later averaged up @30+ to over 70k units.
I had the ability to pick over 200k units at the time, but it is what it is.

I am going to try
8 consecutive picks with a prospect of 100% to be rolled over as below. Could last 3- 7 years or even less. It’s all about the power of compounding.

I will start at step zero of N1,000,000.

Step 0 =N1,000,000
Step 1= N2,000,000
Step 3 = N4,000,000
Step 4 = N8,000,000
Step 5 = N16,000,000
Step 6 = N32,000,000
Step 7 = N64,000,000
Step 8 = N128,000,000

Purely on Common Sense Strategy.

Let’s see how it goes. Will post my progress here.
Do well to drop the stock picks each step of the way. You may have co-travellers smiley smiley

Good morning all. I want to second Oga Emma on the fact that the conversation is wonderful. I am personally leaning a lot. We should encourage healthy debate which if properly done should not lead to insults. If one properly argued one's case they should be understood from the direction they are coming from.

What I have gathered from all sides is that:

i) From financial reports so far released by OANDO, technically, a normal path is recapitalization by the injection of more capital and not more debt.

ii) The company has added more potential sources of revenue that with time should turn the finances around, and this may start to show in still to be released financial reports. However, these additional sources of revenue were acquired with more debt that may rather compound the problems.

iii) There is scepticism, fear and distrust of the majority ownership, throwing doubt in their future actions. This is based on prior experiences of their past actions.

iv) However, some also have confidence that things will come out ok in the long run.

I personally do not find any of the arguments totally unacceptable.
A fair summary of the deliberations. Well done.

Someone in the thread who appears to have some insider insight also said they are considering raising bonds.

No mind them. I don't know what is so special in Oando going down or being on offer, after all, it was on bid for weeks too. Meanwhile, be on the look out for anyday or time the offer start to dry, there is money to be made there if one is lucky to pick before the offer dry up.

The mistake most of us make in the psycho-social evaluation of others is to think that numbers neccessarily translate into wisdom.

When you look at personalities like Dino Melaye for instance, you just get to know that while some may have huge numbers as age, they are in practical sense mere petulant babies in adult skin.

How do you handle children at home when they are hyper excited? You let them be as long as they do not constitute danger to themselves or anyone around. You just let them be!

Blames and insults are expected and it's all part of the game.....We are used to it. 😊
I'm sure someone sitting on +200% gain or more would see it differently.
We are all here, I hope some monikers won't disappear when the odds are against them again.

* For those in OANDO let's be patient.
For those replying Streetinvestor, I think it's not necessary.
Some people needs to relieve stress and feel like a champion sometimes even without anything to prove it, so it's allowed.
Pls ignore him for the sanity of this great forum that has helped a lot of us,including him.

It is a complete waste of time giving attention to the sort of things he is doing here. It is at best childish.

If you have done your due diligence and gave enough margin of safety, you should be happy you have the opportunity to buy your preferred stock at a lower.

I am sure nobody will be sad if the price of petrol comes down to N200 per litre.

So why are we not happy getting our preferred shares at cheaper prices?

Just musing
Excellent submission. The dip is always an opportunity to buy more.
