mikeapollo: I dont get your point . I was talking about what can lead to solving Oando's problem if it happens consistently i.e. in the future. So how do you know they will never pay dividends and wil always have negative working capital even if they make consistent, huge cash-backed profits in future? The unrepentant fixation on judging the company solely on its past suggests something beyond mere interest in sound financials or ethics. Nobody is disputing the fact that they’ve not been paying dividends. We not saying they don’t have negative numbers, but where do you put the company now and going into the future in the light of confirmed recent events. They dodge this question and just continue to stick it in your face that they haven’t paid dividends. Looks like an agenda. |

emmanuelewumi: Cash is real but earning is an opinion.
There is usually a 70% probability that forecast will go wrong.
Uche can't just come out of his negative net asset and negative working capital by virtue of the purported increase in revenue.
In fact to harness the opportunities he will go deeper in debt.
It is not all growth that leads to profitability and it is not all profitability that creates wealth, it is not all wealth that is sustainable.
It is when the tide is over that we will know those that are swimming naked. The 20k to 40k is no longer in the realm of projection. The revenue from selling MW to the national grid is no longer in the realm of projection. The fact that Uche is a favored son (nothing wrong with this, we all wish to be) is not a projection. Why do you want to permanently tie Uche down to his past and not accord him any chance of survival at all? |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 5:05pm On Sep 17, 2024 |
emmanuelewumi: No record of free cash flow for Uche, infact he had to sell his Jeep, land and house in order to enhance liquidity yet his liabilities are more than his assets
Another major problem with him is with his working capital
He found out he could get cheaper loans from First Bank, so he got another loan from First Bank in order to settle Access Bank because those guys at Access are Badass From 20,000bpd to confirmed 40,000bpd in few days after taking over, with projections for 100,000bpd by December this year. Uche may have had a rough past but an objective evaluation of Uche's future shows promises of good fortune. |

yMcy56: FBNH Full bid @31.90..... Is the Elephant coming with special news or what?
OANDO Bids currently more than offers..,. I hope NSEMPAs will just allow this stock breathe and give it a break on this everyday bad belle/forth and back! It's not the only stock in NGX, you can focus on Aradel or refinery for now.......😊 It's an agenda. They are not going to stop. One of them already hinted that they are being paid for the negative energy, but I don't understand how someone wouldn't get bored saying or doing the same thing over and over again for weeks. |

godlyguy: Seplat is quality it does not need oando media kind of media paid jobs to sustain its quality moves You see! This is the issue. When you make statements like this, you don't consider it an attack but when others do, you say they are attacking you for talking about thier favorite stocks. Why would you say people are paid to express opinions here? Maybe you are being paid for your negative "PR job" on the stocks you don't like? |

Harvestock01: The reason why I don't venture any opinion (and I will not venture any) about Oando is that it has exhaustively been discussed in prior years. I may not be wrong to describe it as arguably the most discussed stock on this platform. It always elicit divisive responses that often degenerate.
There's enough opinions and materials out there for any one to make a decision either way.
Notwithstanding, it is not everyone that runs from the kind of risk and rewards that Oando currently present.
Whether you are a rookie, newbie or veteran, you are still the CEO of your portfolio. If we all gracefully accept the bolded, there would be peace on this thread. Advise, criticise, commend, recommend and say whatever you like, but, give people the chance to make their own decisions. It is their money! |

Sunrisepebble: Aradel is doing a stock split of 20x, current price is 9,350, which means if it were to list today, it will list at N467.50 Given that the pricing template of the two exchanges are not the same, don't you think it might list at a lower price than N467? |

Mpeace: 5days solid bull without price increase. Seplat has been on 3weeks solid bull without appreciating in price. At 10k plus, it would be difficult to get the needed single trade volume of 100k units. That is 1billion naira single trade. Will it enter the NSE at such price? That's scary |

Mayor2024: The management of NGX asked us to speak up against unethical practices. The busybodies of NSEMPA are busy criticizing a voice that spoke out. This was the same way we ruined this country beyond redemption. Shame on all naysayers. You can ban and unban. Bye-bye, @NSEMPA family. I'm off this page for my well-being. Big shame on the bastard moderator/s that always banned me. "The black man is always anghry" |

Mankind2024: I was banned since Sunday 1st September 2024. Today, I'm sending this letter to the Management of NGX for deliberately removing the Corporate Action page.
A letter to the Management of NGX for the restoration of Dividend/Corporate Action page.
The Management Nigerian Exchange (NGX) NGX House, 8/10 Broad Street Lagos Nigeria Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my utmost dismay, disappointment, and outrage at the removal of the Dividend Corporate Action page from the NGX website. This action is a betrayal of Nigerian retail investors, a climax of irresponsibility, and a hurtful blow to the investing community of NSEMPA
https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/8124
The removal of this critical page
https://ngxgroup.com/exchange/data/corporate-actions/
is unethical, uncooperative, unpatriotic, wicked, bias and unimaginable. It demonstrates a blatant disregard for the needs and rights of retail investors, who rely on this information to make informed decisions. This action is more devastating than the removal of fuel subsidies by the federal government, as it directly affects the livelihoods of hardworking Nigerians who have invested their life savings in the stock market.
By removing this page, NGX has:
1. Deprived investors of vital information 2. Undermined transparency and accountability 3. Demonstrated disregard for investor welfare 4. Created an uneven playing field, favoring institutional investors 5. Eroded trust in the NGX and the Nigerian capital market. 6. This action is a reflection that NGX never cared for retail investors.
I demand that the NGX:
1. Immediately reinstate the Dividend Corporate Action page. 2. Provide a clear explanation for the removal. 3. Take measures to prevent similar actions in the future. 4. Engage with retail investors to address concerns and improve communication. Failure to address this issue will lead to a loss of confidence in the NGX and the Nigerian capital market, ultimately harming the economy.
All NSEMPA members are advised to mail and bombard the NGX email by forwarding a complaint to:
contactcenter@ngxgroup.com Good idea but don't you think you can be less confrontational? You don't know why ntheyn removed it or if there is an alternative means of getting same info on the same website or elsewhere. you seek to know these first before going for their neck. I lived among the light skinned. There is this opinion among them that the black man is always angry Let's learn to be more civil and less angry in our daily comportment |

Agbalowomeri: Is it CSCS that credit bank account or the stock brokers? Not sure whether I am outdated Yes. The CSCS, apparently if you haven't mandated your stockbroker to take your sales proceeds into your brokerage account with them. I just filled a form where I objected to this and ask sales proceeds to go to the wallet directly. |

It will take T+3 working days before CSCS will credit your bank acct.
