The guy understood me and told me he will try and avoid that situation this time around. But he poked around my back so much that I cried like a baby. Eventually he was able to get the epidural in and I felt some relief. He then gave me a pump and told me to make sure to pump it and give myself another boost once the effects start wearing out. This was around 9pm. I then requested for my nurse to get the on-call OB so he can break my water. That was the beginning of my frustration. They said he was in 2 back to back C-Section and he will show up after he’s done with them. He never showed up until 4:30am Maybe he was hiding from me, who knew. I was so pissed and between 9-4:30am, I only dilated another .5cm. That meant I dilated 1.5cm in 16 hours. I started panicking and thinking I will have to need an emergency c-Section. Eventually the doctor showed up and gave broke my water around 4:45. After he broke the water, the nurse said she will check me in 2 hours cos they don’t want to run the risk of checking too frequently and introducing bacteria into my cervix. Lo and behold, I went from a 5.5cm to 8cm in 2 hours! I was soo happy! She said she was gonna step outside and inform the OB and get the team ready for me. In 15 minutes before she had the chance to come back, I started feeling intense pressure in my vagina, butt, back and lower extremities. It was agony! I woke up by husband and my family friend who were with me in the room and informed them that my body was wanting to push. They thought I was joking but we Sha paged the nurse to come and check the me again and I was indeed completely dilated to a 10 in 15 minutes and ready to have this baby! The doctor ran into the room and they pushed my bed up and everywhere became s beehive of activities.

Side note, because of my earlier traumatic birth experience in 2016, I had been researching ways to make labor easier this time around and the generally accepted consensus to drink red raspberry leaf tea, eat dates and eat pineapples. I got the red raspberry leaf tea on amazon and started drinking it at 31 weeks. I also got the capsules on amazon and I will drink one cup/teabag of the tea in the morning, take 3 capsules of the red raspberry leaf tea in the afternoon and another 3 at night. I continued like that until I got induced at 39 weeks. I also ate 6 giant medjool dates everyday starting at 33weeks. Research said I needed 71g at least everyday for it to have any effect. Those things I did with diligence because I was afraid of a repeat of my first experience.

I’d like to think that my trifecta worked and God also decided to be merciful to me because my epidural worked perfectly and I was able to feel exactly where and when to push. I started pushing at 7:15am and as the first contraction hit, I pushed through that and the head slipped out, second contraction hit and his whole body slipped out! He was born 7:19am and were so in love. The attending OB presser my belly and Placenta came out immediately after. No pains and I just felt it slip out of me. Best of all, I didn’t even tear or bruise and the baby was 8.9lbs! Alhamdulilah, for all His Mercies.
So it was my superstitious self that decided not to jinx myself and report for roll call or announce the pregnancy o. My teammates make una no vex.

Naa I wasn't punished, i was a good shild.. But I get it anyways..Thanks dear

Alhamdulillah. All praises are for you.

So February is finally here. We're in awe of your might oh God. Please make this month easy and make it one of the best in our lives.

At delivery time, make it painless,easy, cervix dilate properly, bones be strong, blood be sufficient, water be enough, muscles -contract and relax appropriately, vagina- expand and contract properly afterwards (for the enjoyment of ourselves and DHs), baby waste no time and hurt not your mummy and don't get yourself hurt too, oh God provide for the daddies and make mummy's joy full. Let there be no reason to cry except for tears of joy and at the awesomeness and cuteness of our LOs. Make our LOs the coolness of our eyes and not a trial of our faith.

For those of us that'll have CS by choice or by chance, please make it easy for us and make our recupperation fast. Give us the wisdom to select the best birthing options for us and LOs. Let there be no complications or loss.

For our mamas whose journey stopped at a point or who suffered losses, lord please ease their fear and pains and reward them and replace with better ones for them.

For our juniors, please make us good seniors to them. Teach them to respect their seniors too. For those that have ported and those that will port, please make it easy for them and bless them too.

Give us the strength, wisdom, health, wealth and understanding to take care of our LOs and families. Protect our LO and families from evil eyes.

Teach those that'll do our omugwo that they may handle us and LO well. Be our helper ohh God.

There's a bone btw my legs that pains me mostly at night and when i try to open my legs. I think my cervix too. The heaviness on that bone is something else. My leg has also started swelling. Correct waddling done start.

I cant wait to see us flood the thread with our cuties.

Good morning team February. To God be the glory, my Edd was 13th Feb but I gave birth yesterday 31st Jan. I was 38weeks 2days. I am a FTM and I am advising all pregnant women out there that it is not easy and if you can afford Epidural please use it coz it really helped with my pain. I don’t know how it would have been without Epidural. Be at last I give God the praise because Child birth is a miracle. My fellow team feb and all other pregnant mothers I wish you all a safe delivery. And again don’t be afraid. I was afraid to be given a tear during child birth but I didn’t feel a thing and now in my recovery stage it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Just keep your mind open and believe that you can do it. God is a miracle worker�.

To say I was apprehensive about going through labor is an understatement. Once we entered the third trimester I started obsessing with birth stories, and wondering how mine would be! Visited this thread and BabyCenter several times a day. I had heard about the book supernatural childbirth and went to buy it, finished reading it the same day and kept some affirmations at heart.
By week 36 I started to see little mucus after wiping, it wasn't bloody or much so I was t scared but told my doctor at my next appointment. Also complained about the lower back pain and increased pelvic pressure I was feeling at the time. He palpated my tummy to see if baby's head had dropped, he frowned, we did VE and he just exclaimed "madam, hope you have packed your bags, I feel your baby's head. Bags ke?! At 36 weeks! We also did a scan to be sure the amniotic fluid was sufficient and it was.
Fast forward to 38weeks, the pressure had relieved me and I stopped seeing the mucus. I read it replenishes itself so I wasn't worried. Because of Hubbys work and I was alone at home, my mom came on Tuesday. I was happy, we went to the market on Thursday to get a few things, I felt fine and energetic. When we got home, we cooked and I downed seriously sweet plantain amala with okro and meat (my first time. that food sweet die). I suddenly stated feeling tired around 10pm after serving hubbys food and excused myself to go to bed. I barely slept 30 minutes when the Braxton hicks started getting closer together, and I started having running stomach. Went to use the toilet and had tummy stool by 12ish. After using the toilet, I started having pains like period pains. I just figured it was because of the poo. By 12:30 I went to call everybody, contractions stated full force, and were ten minutes apart. By 1am ish they were back to back, I kept breathing through them. That's when I said oya let's go to hospital (thank God we left then). Hubby packed the bags while I was pacing and trying to breathe through the pain. The pressure at each contraction was getting more and more I just held my bum bum and kept saying "not yet". We got to the hospital like 1:40am and woke them, the nurse was busy doing slow motion and I kept pacing and breathing(the contractions were even stronger) all of a sudden I felt my bum swell and touched it only to see that my baby's sac had started coming out (like a balllon) Haaaaa! I started shouting. Madam nurse took me inside and asked me to lay down, the others were running up and down getting instruments, she ruptured the membrane and I felt a warm fish of fluid all over me. She checked and I was fully dialated. I was asked to remove all my clothes and climb the birthing bed(please I don't know the name). She asked me to push at the next contraction, I started praying and saying "Jesus help me" I pushed and literally felt like my bum was on fire, hot fire! Pushed two more times and my princess came out. I felt an instant relief, when I heard her cry and me too started crying and laughing and singing. My husband was smiling from ear to ear and went to watch her get cleaned. Then the placenta came out and I was checked for tears. By then I wasn't interested in what they were doing, just kept staring at her bein g cleaned. She was born at 2:20am. I thank God we didn't wait longer at home, she would have been "Abiona" .
I surely learned a lot from this group. May God bless you all with supernatural births and healthy babies.

The switch i indicated with green arrow in the first picture is for the oven compartment. (Ignore the pink arrow). To light up the grill burner above, you turn it to the right. To light up the burner below for baking, you turn the switch to the left

You light up the burner the same way you light up your cooker. That is, you put your lighted match stick or lighter close to the burner immediately after you turn the switch on. The two burners in the oven is what i indicated in the second pic with arrows. For the burner below, you might need to get your matchstick really close, like into those holes.

The first small button on the left is to switch on the oven light. Only works with electricity

Mine is leg and hand pain o.. very serious..maybe u should visit the hospital to rule out any form of complication.. it will end in praise teamie

Please who is familiar with maxi cooker with oven? Which one is for grilling and which one is for baking? Cos there's one burner up and there's one down, as i indicated with the arrows

And whats the last button on the right for?

The oven is not electric, electric only works for the cooker and to light up the oven light, but it uses fire for the oven burner instead, so how do i regulate the temperature.

Able mamas, please help me to thank sis @geesucc for blessing my soul today with ovulation strips and supplements(CoQ10, B6 and Selenium). I only went for ovulation strips but never knew she had all these supplements to give me too ooo. She even added a wonderful inspirational book to uplift my spiritual life against spiritual forces of darkness. Sis @geesucc, may God richly bless u for me. As u've blessed a depressed soul, may God's blessings never elude you and your family. The arrival of your lo will open doors of unmerited favour to your family. Thanks a lot sis.

I know this is not the right place to post this but am putting it here because we are all married women expecting a child. I just need a word of advise from you because am loosing my mind and the only thing that is still giving me hope is my son and my unborn child
I have been crying since afternoon, because of what the person I called my mother told me. I have a mother that hated me so so much and it started right from when I was a child but I thought she will change if I get marry and leave under her roof. Despite being the only female child she have she never liked me. she's always against me. The most painful aspect of this is that she like and cherish my senior brother wife more than me. That one heard alot from my mum about me and she take me as nothing, that is not the problem because I put her in her place too. But the most annoying thing is my mum always tell her everything going on in my life and family and she will be keeping everything my sister in law tells her as secret.
my mum was the one that first broke my pregnancy news to them even when I stupidly told her and warn her not to tell anyone till it's obvious. I know what I went through before getting this pregnancy. my mum expect me to be updating her about my pregnancy while she will be telling the whole world. My mum can keep another person child(SIL) affair secret from me but she's exposing me to the world. I am crying as am typing this honestly. I stopped telling her about my pregnancy and she's annoy. I wish she won't come to omugwo but I can't help it. I know how he treated me like a piece of shit when I had my first child and I know she will treat me worst now because I stopped telling her about my life. my fellow women, am I overreacting, if anything happen to me or my baby this woman will only cry and clean her face then continue enjoying her life.
