PRESS RELEASE: SOLUDO'S CALL FOR KANU'S RELEASE IS A WASTE OF TIME
Igbos are shocked by Charles Soludo and co's call for Kanu's release. The demand is uncalled for,anti Igbo and thoughtless. Soludo and co obviously wish to harvest the sympathy of Kanu's thousand or so followers for their planned mega party and presidential ambition. Call for Kanu's release will further alienate Soludo and co from Igbo sympathy for the following reasons.
1.Kanu was not arrested for eating ice cream,but for treason. Releasing him will embolden criminal elements to take up arms against the state.
2. Kanu is a threat to peace in Igboland. He has abused Zik and every other prominent Igbo man,and vowed to slaughter them.
3. Kanu promotes erosion of values by calling Igbo girls and mothers prostitutes.
4. Kanu has added no value to Igboland.
5. Should Kanu create a country with his one thousand followers,other Igbo yahoo boys will do same ,and before long,Igbo land will have 1 million countries.
6. Since Kanu has gained notoriety as a school drop out,other Igbo boys are dropping out of school,hoping to ''make it like director''.
7' A free kanu will persecute christians and even kill them.
8. With ''death'' as Ipob motto,Kanu will send illiterate Igbos to go and fight soldiers,thereby dying in the process.
9. Instead calling for his release Justice Nyako should expedite action on the case and convict him based on the overwhelming evidence.
