Mkenya2019: Of course there a supreme court petition that must be lodged 7 days and determined in 4 weeks. Kenya supreme court was Africa first to annual a sitting president election. Kenya is a model on competitive Africa politics It took a week or more for us to know the winner even before court. |

If kogi is going for APC then what are we talking about Not possible. What's the population of Kogi? Maybe you mean Kano but even that is false in terms of population. |

rvp2018: Yes it very advanced compared to your nonsense I am seeing now
Refer to this thread on the election date https://www.nairaland.com/3327823/kenyans-far-behind-nigerians-every/1385
On the same day - election day - we know who had voted - while voting was going on.
By mid-day we know who had voted - by closing of the polls - we knew who had voted.
Two hours after close of polling stations we had most of results in.
This because kenya uses technology - nigeria dont.
"Kenya Election - Look like it will be very low turnout - 60% percent maybe
IEBC reporting 56% - excluded those on the queue - about 12M voters - at 4PM.
It's now 6 and most polling station are closing - and results will stream in live in about an hour"
30 mins afte close of voting and start of counting..
"kenya Election Update: Election results coming in fast and furious.
High turnout in Kalenjinland(80-85%), No result from Luo Nyanza(strange- could be 2007 ploy), medium turnout in Mt kenya, everywhere else is very low 1) NEP - 50-50 2) Coast - Raila leading amongst Mijikenda - Ruto leading in others. 3) Ukambani - Raila leading but Ruto doing very well 4) Matusa - Raila leading. 5) Kalenjin - Ruto scoring 98% up from 92% for Uhuru 6) Mt Kenya - Ruto scoring 85%. THIS BIG ONE. 7) Western - Ruto doing very well in Bungoma(80%) - and 40% in Busia. cool No seen results from Luos and Gusii."
By 9.20 the same voting day
As at 9:20 kenyan time - about 40% of all polling stations have submitted their data https://forms.iebc.or.ke/#/
By midnight - 82% polling station had submitted their results - online for whole world to see
Well IEBC tried this time - the result forms are - at 82% at this point - just what six hours after it started streaming - with close of counting. We just need a few to stream in - and we are done. Azimio folks have gone AWOL Will Raila concede defeat? https://forms.iebc.or.ke/#/
By next day - early morning - all results were uploaded - and people were busy doing calculation.
Final tally were out by end of that day by most who had time to do the maths and Ruto had won. Raila people bowels had loosen and they were having mass diarhoea tissue papers run out of stock.
IEBC then took 5 days to verify and check - There are over 176,000 polling units across the country and unlike the Senate and House of Reps, large numbers (almost everyone) voted in the presidency section. You can't compare this outrightly to Kenya. It is normal that the BVAS for the presidency upload could malfunction too and there is a need to not allow election results from certain regions influence others. Anyway I agree INEC needs to improve a lot. It's first time. Example, in over 70% of the areas, the INEC officials came late (after 7.30pm). |

rvp2018: Yes, Kenya election are so much ahead of the confusion I saw in Nigeria. Results by now should be almost all in. Provisional results and projection should be known. What should take time is official results. Thesame Kenyan election we monitored here? . Results are not largely out because voting is still going on and results from certain quarters can induce voters. For instance, I hear Atiku got better votes in some parts of the North yesterday evening. |

rvp2018: It's going to be 3 horse races; with the winner barely getting 40%; So far Obi is doing exceedingly well than projected in SW & some parts of the North. If Igbos and related showed up & gave him a 30% boost; then all he need outside from mostly angry voters and christians voters is a 5-10% top up; and he seem to have done it. Obi is doing well but again spread is the problem. They are still not as strong as the APC, PDP and NNPP in 3 out of 6 regions. North-East, North-West and even North Central despite their dominance in Benue. |

Mkenya2019: That gives him 25% in the 24 states. So I dont know he will lose at this point. APC after covid-ukraine-naira economic crisis has generated anger enough to bring voters out to vote them out. Obi is very Luckly man. Tinubu killed by sleeply Buhari incompetnce.
As for Atiku - he is zero in half of Nigeria south - and will divide the north. So he is dead - will be lucky to get 25% of total votes.
Tinubu 30%
Obi likely to win with 35% He was very poor in Kano the second largest state in terms of successful registered voters population. It also seems he would be poor in Katsina the 4th most populated. But he is not doing too bad at the moment in Kaduna the 3rd most populated state. He is superb in Rivers state and Lagos. These are the top 5 states in terms of population of registered voters: Lagos (over 6.2 million collected their PVC) Kano (over 5 million) Kaduna (over 4 million) Katsina (over 3 million) Rivers (over 3 million) APC is currently either 1st or 2nd in all five states. |

They are probably trying to alter it from this night till tomorrow morning. Some people are still at various polling station lining up to vote by this time. Nigerians are truly determined. Calm down baba. Dem go upload am. |
