The thing is the machine they use for us here in Africa Is exactly what they use for the whites.

It always comes out normal ECG for the white but for the blacks it's always abnormal ECG

So if you go with normal ECG, even the doctors will laugh

But you can still tell them to make it normal

Are there doctors here to confirm what I just said
I humbly disagree with the above statements.
ECG isn't sensitive to race or genes. It's purely a recording of the electrical activity of the heart

Akosxxx:
Hello guys. This is my ECG Analysis report.

I'm not a medical person but I'm very skeptical about this result and I'm thinking of going for another one in private hospital.

*
Doctors and experienced people in the house, Do you think this result will hinder my progress or would you advise against getting another ECG report. Please help
Sometimes that auto report might be incorrect. It needs to be manually reported by a specialist. I won't advise you take this ECG report there without a proper reporting by a specialist. Note that ECG reporting is very technical and not all doctors can do it. If the doctors at the screening can't read an ECG well, they'll depend on that auto-report and trust me you will be shown your way outta the gates immediately because the report there shows it might be risky to put you through the military exercises.

I'm not trying to scare you or discourage you. This is what you should do. Go to a diagnostic centre where you're sure they have someone who reports an ECG. Get the result and report. If satisfactory proceed for the recruitment but if status quo my bro ill advise you sit.... because of possibility of the heart seizing to work when subjected to strenous exercises.

You can ask more questions where not clear

Pls who knows d BP level, beyond which a candidate will be disqualified. Ur ans will be appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.
Normal human blood pressure is in a range. We don't just choose a central value as normal.
So for you to be regarded as normal, your Systolic blood pressure should be within 90-120mmHg and the diastolic should be within 60-90mmHg at rest. Anything higher or lower than these at rest is abnormal
Kindly note that the Systolic is written up and diastolic is written under.
Eg 110/85mmHg. Here the Systolic is 110 and diastolic is 85.
I hope I explained in layman's terms

Do you think malaria check is part of the test because some of us na customer month in month out. Since they screen for drugs don't you think malaria injections, drugs e.g Arthemeter and co will be detected, even in the blood
I also treat malaria every month. Though most times as prophylaxis. The kinda drugs they check are all those hard drugs cocaine, codeine, tramadol marijuana etc

[quote author=Rahull post=74021134]Hey frnd, pls don't resign from your job yet. Even if your name appears on the first list don't resign until u make the final. You can take a brk from your work place. Even if a general has assured u of the army job still don't resign yet.

They way I see things, it seems the competition is very high. Evey general wants his wards in the military.

My dad was gistin with his course mate on phone and their gist moves from their usual talk to postings and enlistment talk. The man told my dad that he has told his nephw not to rely on the army job because his hands are shorts. That the big boys have taken over the enlistemnt exercise process.

That's when I realised that all generals are powerful but some are more powerful.

If a general could say his hands are shorts in the exercise then you know what it means.

Just pray for God's favor and dont quit your job yet.

I applied for this ongoin NN enlistemnet exercise and my dad gave my details to his course mate a commodore to work it out.

The list came out and my name wasn't on the list. The commodore's daughter's name came out. When my dad called him, he told my dad that he was asked to give only one name. And you know a man will not chose his friend's daughter over his own daughter. So he picked his daughter.

The commodore told my dad that he's not sure his daughter will make the final list. Because e get as e b. Every red collar officer wants his child there.

I don't blame them. I blame the situation of the country. No jobs.

What am I trying to say? The chances of getting this military job with or without connection is small.

Imagine the need only 3 candidates from a whole state and in that same state there are more than 10 generals and these generals all want their wards enlisted.

So brother think before you act.

[/quote

Wow. Thanks for the advice. I'm very grateful. I'll try to find a way around it sha

Saintdtm:
Please someone should help me explain this:

Officer cadets who successfully complete the military training shall be granted the rank of Lieutenant with no advantage of seniority
Usually each rank has its duration before you qualify for promotion. Let's assume if it takes 3 years to be a 2nd Lt before qualifying for promotion to the next rank, and two officers are one the same rank, the first from NDA might have a 2 years seniority on the rank (I. E he just has 1 year more before being qualified for promotion) while an SSC officer will have no seniority meaning he will stay for like 3 years before getting promoted to the next rank.
This is my understanding of the seniority issue

@ Rest 133/73....buh anxiety 140/98
Just try to calm your nerves before you check your BP. There's no point being anxious. Your BP at rest is fine

me can only run 2km steady the remaining..I I'll have to rest a minute or 2 before I will complete it....lemme give you a trick, before you jog a kilometer, walk a kilometer first,do press ups at least 30 before u start jogging and do leg muscle exercise.my only fear is that my blood pressure shoots up when I feel anxiety,so I might fail as regards that on on medical day...buh will still give it a shot...
It's normal to have a slight increase in BP when anxious. If you exercise, it's normal to have a high BP. It's a natural way the body compensates for stress/exercise.
But if BP goes above max range because of just anxiety, them it's not okay.
If I may ask what's your BP at rest and when you are anxious (I don't mean after exercise)

Don't underate that 3.2km race
I felt I was agile that I will finish it in time
But na lie o. I go try am 3 days ago. Omo na die I wan die after 3 laps round the standard race track. But I made sure I completed the 8 laps 3-2-1-1-1 with rests in between
I went again yesterday and I've improved to 4-3-3 with rest in between
Next is to 5 and then 6 till I get to 8

if you lack the much needed common sense to answer a question then shut your trap
I think my answer/advice was fair enough and not with any insult. I don't understand why you will choose to insult me. Well there's no point responding with an insult cos I won't be who I am if I'm senseless.
Another advice - Learn to make friends with your words rather than enemies.

Hello please the information is important. Somebody mentioned on this thread that another credential screening takes place weeks before passing out of the cadets. Please someone should verify this info from recent dssc and ssc graduates because ive never heard of such.

What is the essence of screening credentials again after making people wallow and suffer only for them to be thrown out weeks to graduation?
Why are you scared of the screening? Make your credentials valid then you'll have nothing to fear about
