ugo4u: PRESS RELEASE
THE TRUTH ABOUT CAPTAIN ZAKARI SANI'S MEDICAL TREATMENT
1. There is an information making round about Captain Zakari Sani which i wish to put in proper perspective. Captain Zakari Sani, a very courageous and hardworking officer, was ambushed alongside other soldiers in Benue State while on operation WHIRL STROKE. The officer was badly wounded and was evacuated to Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi where he was initially stabilised and later evacuated to Ceda Crest Hospital in Abuja for higher management outside of the operations theatre.
2. Ceda Crest Hospital is one of the best hospitals in the country as at today. The team of doctors and other medical staff including expatriate are attending to the officer whose situation though serious is getting better by the day. He has undergone several medical procedures which have helped to stabilised him further. The Chief of Defence Staff has placed Medical Surveillance on the officer for eventual medical evacuation outside the country.
3. It should be noted that foreign medical evacuation is a process that is done with the advice of the medical doctor that is administering the stabilization treatment. Otherwise the intended objective may not be achieved when the patient is evacuated abroad. The Nigerian Military takes care of the medical needs of her personnel, including her retired colleagues. As necessary, various cases are sent on Medevac, especially those personnel wounded in active service.
4. Information given about Captain Zakari may be intended to ensure he gets the best of medical attention, but the narrative is not true. If Captain Zakari had been hurriedly taken out of the country without the stabilization treatment, according to the medical advice, the outcome may not be certain.
5. The general public is hereby informed that Captain Zakari Sani’s treatment is consciously administered for his best interest. He is to undergo some medical procedures after which, he will be stable for any other treatment abroad as necessary. Nigerian military takes the heath of its personnel seriously and would do anything to sustain the health and vitality of all, in order to be fit to defend the territorial integrity of our great nation.
6. Please kindly disseminate.
JOHN AGIM Brigadier General Acting Director Defence Information
We pray and hope all is well with the gallant armoured officer. The Nigerian Army is lying. Ahan!!! See lie. To stabilize a patient can be done within 24 hours maximum. So how long is theirs taking? Years now. Since 2014. Let then fly the guy abroad for the necessary treatment and stop beating around the bush. Probably someone up there has eaten the money allocated for the course. Nigeria, we hail thee. |

lebete3000: Just because you can't put 2 & 2 together doesn't mean others can't. As I said enjoy your army bro. I trained with passion, I sweated salt, I gladly lost all my belly fat, my company(Charlie) missed my inspiration while I was away in d hospital & started carrying last. I regave myself to the institution after planning to jettison it & was ready to be posted to Borno when I took the Cadet's oath. I was ready to die for the Army ONLY if the Army was ready to die for me! Anything else is sufferhead mentality to me! And then I had an issue with someone and they started saying I wanted to leave afterall, that's why I got angry. Totally unrelated news & began using that to malign my image. Abeg make dem go siddon for shit jarey. Institution filled with bunch of bimbos wielding rifles. This touched me somehow. I understand the source of the pain. |

scave: Roger that I made a mistake with the answer please. Don't remove your tooth because you have a hole in it. Rather tell them to fill the hole so your tooth will still be intact. NB some tooth decays can't be filled as they've passed the stage of filling. What you'll do in this case is called ROOT CANAL THERAPY and crowning. It will retain the tooth there. It will cost about 50k |

Dammysmart: Bruv, i do not know how people think i uploaded a fake certificate tho. I didnt just want to leave the space vacant as it is consequential that you upload sumfin there. Whatever i uploaded carries my name, probable date of discharge and all necessary corps member data. It ws given at camp and i do not know if anyone understands that yet. Pls i just uploaded that so i might get a chance of being shortlisted as well and not in anyway forgery. The decision is left for the army though. Man proposes, God disposes. I just told a friend to upload her WAEC certificate in the space for NYSC cos she is still serving. That I think is a better option. Before screening the certificate will be ready |

Babatundeh26: My biggest problem when shortlisted will be medicals, you can never know what will be used to send one packing. so my question is: WHAT WILL THE MILITARY CHECK FOR DURING THE MEDICAL TEST? Few answers I have Height, weight, BMI Visual acuity Your teeth Blood pressure +or - ECG Chest Xray Blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B, PCV Urinalysis, Urine toxicology ( screening for drug metabolites) Anal examination to rule out rectal prolapse Overt bow leg or K leg or wind swept deformity Shortened limbs or amputated fingers (I don't know if toes are involved) Flat foot (this is done bcs people with this condition usually can't wear boots for long, and trust me say you no fit dey wear Dunlop slippers for war front ) Scars or tattoos Surgical conditions like Surface swellings (eg protruded navel, big lipomas, goitre etc) Hernia, hydrocoele etc You can help yourself by making changes now to those defective aspects of your health |

collinshrf: Oga mango juice, I one of my front tooth got broken a little when I was way younger, does this affect my chances if shortlisted? If it's just a small part I guess they'll over look that. But to be on the safest side just go and do RCT and crowning. You'll spend about 50k in a government hospital. |

And not just any hospital, go to a TEACHING HOSPITAL. Treatment for Hepatitis B is not only about taking drugs. You'll have to do some tests and the doctor manage you. I've seen many people being duped. They were given wrong drugs. Some were even given Vit B Co |

Anzabur: some will tell me it will go on its own, some will say traditional medicine cures, some say there is no cure at all, some tell me to avoid fatty food and protein only carbohydrate for two weeks. I tried all beginning with abstaining fatty foods and protein for two weeks while taking some medications, still was positive,I got tired and took a break and started eating forbidden delicacies, that's around last year. April this year I tested positive when we went for medical check for my marriage. I resumed aggressively with traditional medicine for about two months May-June this year. Since then I have not gone for test up to today. Early this month I asked a doctor if Hepatitis B has a cure but he said NO hepatitis has no cure, only for me to avoid alcohol which I don't take( I asked him when I went to visit my uncle'a wife who just gave birth at 44baracks). IM JUST CONFUSED,IS IT CURABLE,IS IT NOT,I DON'T KNOW....I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO BELIEVE...PLEASE IF THERE IS ANY HELP,SOMEONE SHOULD HELP,I JUST WANT TO BE CERTAIN IF IT IS CURABLE,I WILL SPEND MY LAST DIME TO GET CURED BUT IF IT IS NOT.....I JUST WANT TO RELAX AND GIVE UP IN THE PURSUIT FOR A CAREER IN THE MILITARY,thanks! You'll spend less than 150,000 naira in LUTH. But brother be careful o. Don't pay anybody cash o. Make sure you pay to the hospital so you'll avoid stories that touch. Just go to the GOPD in LUTH and you can get your treatment there. |

They won't make a difference Because the drugs were recently introduced not all hospitals have them. But I'm sure of some places Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has the drugs. I'm sure of that while I was still there. Some other teaching hospitals can have. I don't know where you location is so I'll direct you to a closest place You'll take the drugs for 6 months. Though the virus will disappear from your blood before that time elapses. So rejoice bro. Keep the dream alive and smile. Your condition is treatable |
