I hope we're blessed with this short message of mine as we understand how Speaking/Praying in tongues helps in building our spiritual life.

Why do we need to speak/ pray in tongues.

The full baptism of the Holy Spirit is always evidenced by speaking in tongues. In Act 2 " 1-4
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it gilled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." What does " As the Spiri gave them utterance means" it means where he lives in the innermost part of your being- in your spir- from there rivers of living waters will flow.

Out of your spirit you'll begin to hear the voice of the Spirit giving you utterances. You'll hear it on the inside. But you have to open your mouth and speak it out. When you receive the baptism of the Holy spirit there is no need for dramatic emotion or jerking or falling down.

Some people, when they begin to speak on tongues they do not have fluency, or a large spiritual vocabulary. They are like little children when they're first learning his to speak, talking in broken words as they're learning. The constant infilling of the Spirit keeps you full of the mighty power of the Holy Spirit. Its a continual experience.

By speaking In tongues regularly, you fine - tune your spirit's awareness of the Holy Spirits indwelling presence.

Reasons for praying/ Speaking in Tongues

1. It edifies you or builds you up spiritually. Look at what Paul wrote to the Corinthians. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifies himself (1 Cor. 14:4)
2. Speaking in Tongues reminds us of the Holy Spirits residence wcorrectly ( John 14:16-17)
3. Praying in tongues helps us pray correctly (Rom.8:26-27)
4. Praying in tongues stimulates our faith. (Jude 20)
5. Praying in tongues helps to keep us from foul talk.
6. Praying in tongues bring spiritual refreshing.(John 7:38-39)
7. Speaking in tongues helps to build a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.(Rom. 8:14-16)
8. Speaking I'm tongues gives us power to be witnesses.(Acts 1:

Speaking what you don't know to God is very bad.. You don't even know if you are talking to God or Devil in the name of prayer, mind what you speak...
I was taught that its only the Holy Spirit that can help someone to speak in tongue, just like it happened to the Apostles..

The statement read in parts “The Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Senate has directed the closure of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This is in compliance with the directive for the closure of universities from March 23, 2020, by the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, as part of measures to contain and prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID_19).
“Consequently, the University of Nigeria is hereby closed for one month with effect from March 23, 2020.


“Students are, therefore, to vacate the campuses latest Monday, March 23, 2020. Keep learning while staying safe at home.”
Also, the 46th matriculation ceremony of the institution earlier scheduled for the 28th of this month is equally postponed indefinitely.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it will, on January 25, conduct House of Representatives re-run election in three local government areas of Ogun State.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday in Abeokuta by Mrs Tadese Adenike, Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, INEC Office, Ogun State.

Adenike said INEC would embark on “supplementary re-run election as ordered by the Appeal Court in 13 polling units spread over three Local Government Areas in the state.”

INEC’s action, she said, was ”in accordance with the provisions of Section 30 (3) of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), which states that notice of Re-Run Election should be published not later than 14 days before the day appointed for holding of an election.

“Under this Act , notice is hereby given that House of Representative Election shall hold in three Federal Constituencies: Ijebu North East,(11 Units) Ijebu-Ode (1 Unit) and Odogbolu (1 Unit) .

“The election shall hold on Saturday, January 25, from 10am to 2pm

To this end, the Independent National Electoral Commission, Ogun, on Friday , January 10, has displayed at the State Office of the Commission and the three Local Government Offices, notices of elections.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta had on Sept. 9, 2019, nullified the election of Hon. Kolapo Osunsanya of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, had also on Nov. 6, 2019, upheld the decision of the tribunal which had ordered a re-run election and subsequently dismissed the appeal filed by Osunsanya.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday explained his decision to order the drone strike that killed Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani.

He stated that the head of Iran’s Quds Force was planning an attack on the U.S. embassy in Iraq.

“They were looking to blow up our embassy. We caught a total monster”, Trump told reporters at the White House.

He said Soleimani, who commanded Iran special operations forces and Iranian allied militias in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon “had more than that particular embassy in mind”.

Presently , jobs are generally limited in Nigeria, as such skills in your area of study matters slot , and in most varsities in Nigeria , studying comp science doesn't really mean u will really understand the main applicantions in various areas... U will need to go for many self sponsored training to groom yourself , else , u would only be seen as a graduate of comp science but computer science wouldn't be seen in u....


Elect/Elect is the only course in engineering in Nigeria today, that u will study and have a better knowledge of what u studied , unlike other engnring courses...there many option in elect/elect, which includes : Power, Electronics, TeleCom, CONTROL, .... And my advice for u , is that since u like the both courses, I will advice u to go for ELECT/ELECT , and option for control if the need be, so that u can be a guru in both Comp science and Elect/Elect, despite your uni knowledge on comp.science, after school maybe from during your NYSC, u can starts running various programmes in computer science, tho it's expensive as some may cost up to 500 - 600k , but with that , u would be more skilled than those who studied comp science in the varsity only and your fellows in Elect/Elect....sip it...u may not value this because it's free...

Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Lille striker Victor Osimhen.



Osimhen has scored 13 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season, and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly ordered detailed scouting reports on the Nigerian forward.

The 21-year-old netted 20 goals for Belgian side Charleroi last season while on loan from Wolfsburg, and has continued his scoring form in this campaign.

According to The Express , Lille have accepted that it is only a matter of time before they are forced to cash in on Osimhen.

However the French side will not entertain bids in January, meaning Klopp will have to wait until the summer if he wants to land his man.

Osimhen penned a five-year deal when he joined Lille in the summer and may well command a huge fee to seal a Premier League move.

Klopp is believed to be keen on bolstering his attacking ranks, with Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe both linked with Anfield switches.

Liverpool are one of several clubs reported to have an interest in Mbappe, who appears keen on a move from PSG to Real Madrid .

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum has rated Kano State the best among the states controlled by the party in the areas of security, infrastructural development, health, education, and economy, among others.
The Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, Mr. Abba Anwar, disclosed this at a press briefing in Kano on Wednesday.

He said the rating was contained in the November 2019 Assessment Report released by the progressive governors’ forum signed by its Director-General, Salihu Mohammed Lukman.

According to him, for three consecutive months from September, October, and November, the state had taken the leading positions with various degrees of improvement from one stage to another.
He said: “The Forum initiates Progressive Strides- Tracking Development Initiatives in APC states as part of the strategy to further deepen good governance among all APC states in the country through the promotion of healthy competition among the states.

“Under this methodology, the states are assessed on a monthly basis and the assessment cuts across all sectors of government, ranging from health, education, agriculture, housing, transport and environmental sanitation among others.

“In a letter sent to governor Abdullahi Ganduje, that was attached with the full-scale report of the assessment, signed by the Director-General of the Forum, Salihu Mohammed Lukman, Kano was rated the highest with 22 strides.”
He said some of the indices given for the emergence of Kano as the best included, the training of 60 youths on the maintenance of heavy-duty and articulated vehicles and distribution of eight million mosquito nets to residents.

He said others were the all-important summit on education, the commendation from the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on the state free and compulsory primary and secondary school education, in addition to spending N2.4 billion on 1,180 primary and secondary schools, as part of the free education policy.
He said the forum also listed Kano Hydroelectricity power project which it said was set to address petroleum consumption and climate change.

The governor’s aide added: “In general, there is an all-round increase in the pattern of initiatives introduced by the states with Kano State recording most of the initiatives for this month with 22 Strides, spreading across empowerment, health, education, infrastructure, security, welfare, economy, environment, capacity building as well as justice and sensitization.”

According to the assessment, Lagos followed with 20 strides, while Jigawa (17), Gombe 14), Nasarawa (12) and Yobe (12) followed in that order. (NAN)
