flokii: The ones that joined, are they being treated fairly?.. are the soldiers being treated with the DIGNITY they deserve? Hate or like the Igbos, they can be very bold and resolute if they want to..
The government should do the right thing, stop rehabilitation of terrorists and start matching their crimes with commensurate punishment.. then watch how young Nigerians will willingly enlist to join the Army. A country whose banner is stained with blood because some Northerners are influencing decisions that should ordinarily be decisive and lethal shouldn't expect much loyality from its citizens. You don talk am finish. The Nigerian government have made the army to be very unattractive to the youths with the way they handled the welfare of the soldiers, the dubious way they are handling the terrorists ( that repentant nonsense is doing way too many harm than good, if there's any good at all) and the heavy handedness in which they handled dissidents in the SE zone. |

Politics › Re: Sanwo-Olu, Umahi Say Coastal Highway Didn’t Worsen Lagos Floods by GeneralOuki: 7:02pm On Jul 09 |
OlujobaSamuel: Highways (Lekki Epe expway and Coastal Rd) are not flooded, but the estate/community inbtw the Lekki Epe corridor and Coastal Rd are heavily flooded. Those on the right side of the coastal road from VI towards Epe are even better off as their can still flow into the see easily. Their case worse pass Agungi right now, you can try enter Nike Art or Meadow Hall, you go fear the water wey dey there Jesus! It's even worse than I thought . Are you saying that that entire area all the way to eleganza/ orchid road were completely flooded?? That's terrible, those areas don't use to experience that kind of flood, if at all. |
Politics › Re: Sanwo-Olu, Umahi Say Coastal Highway Didn’t Worsen Lagos Floods by GeneralOuki: 2:55pm On Jul 07 |
OlujobaSamuel: Abi Sanwo Olu don high ni, I need not asked if David is high, na usual for him. There is sea/lagoon on a side, you elevated an highway without drainage crossing through it, then you expect that there won't be excess flood. If you are on Lekki Epe expway, the whole stretch of the right hand side from Marwa to Ajah is flooded Are you kidding me? That's a very long stretch of road?! Unless you're being dramatic, that's a very serious problem Is it only the roads that's flooded or did it also affect the estates and other establishments off the road? I've experienced a lot of flooding on the express but it has never covered such long distance, maybe Agungi is flooded after a heavy downpour or VGC is flooded or Marwa to chisco is flooded but it usually dries up with time by flowing through the canal and into the lagoon. The last time I was in Lagos and toured through the coastal road I noticed that some of the canals through which the water empties into the lagoons no longer exist, but I thought that they must have a plan for the flooding, I mean they have to right? They can't spend that amount of money and not make provisions for the flooding which is a very regular feature in V.I, ikoyi, lekki phase 1&2. This just reeks of unprofessionalism and poor planning. |
Sports › Re: FIFA 'Crossed A Red Line' Says UEFA After Balogun Red Card Reversal by GeneralOuki: 7:13pm On Jul 06 |
givedemwotowoto: FIFA did the right thing.
That injury was an unfortunate accident, but it didn’t deserve a red card. Balogun didn’t see where his foot landed. He was facing the opposite direction.
It’s like jumping up to head the ball, then landing on someone already on the floor. Like, was your body supposed to defy gravity and remain in the air?
UEFA is playing unnecessary politics. It doesn't have to be intentional to be a red. Rashford got a red for similar challenge against Galatasary a couple of years ago in the UCL. Casemiro had a similar red card two years ago. The red card was the correct decision as far as the rule book is concerned. Now the decision by FIFA is very controversial because if according to you it wasn't a red, and if FIFA saw it as a wrong decision by the on field ref, then the appropriate action would have been to rescind the red card. But in this case FIFA is not rescinding the red but rather suspending the red card for 1 year. What this means is that FIFA actually agrees that the red was correct decision but that the red card will not count. Coupled with the fact that Trump himself had to call infantino to suspend that red card, there's no other blatant display of corruption and political meddling in the sports as this one. You as a person can not be against Tinubu's government for its corrupt practices and then turn a blind eye to the FIFA corruption. It just shows that you're not sincere with your disdain for immoral and corrupt practices. |

kodded: But they didn't cross the line when they suspended ronaldo three match ban so that he can play this world cup abi?
Selfish Europeans think the world revolves around them Ronaldo at least served one match ban, and the suspension was during the qualifiers not in the tournament proper. There are precedence to Ronaldo's case, he's not the first one that rule was applied to. Balogun's case is a totally different scenario, they didn't rescind the red card ( which would have been the better decision) rather they suspended it. The last time something like this happened was about 50 years ago In '66 and it was a very controversial decision that time. This is not about Europe, the integrity of the sports is at stake here, but I guess you people don't give a damn about integrity anyway. |

Image123: All these talk is just dust. What we should be looking for is where the security breach started and who allowed it. Did the breach happen from inside, was the person(s) deceived or in connivance. When i heard the guy on Channels TV selecting questions to answer and claiming he was sick, it was not difficult to know what kind of untrustworthy person he is. He clearly knows he has an audience to defend him AGAINST the FG. Against the FG? Are you even hearing yourself? Nobody is defending anyone here, what well meaning and sensible Nigerians are saying is that both the Mathew guy and the FG are crooked corrupt entities that have institutionalised corruption in this dispensation and are demanding answers to how This corruption happened. This is not a Matthew Vs FG case as far as Nigerians are concerned, this is a case of corruption exposing itself! You corruption defenders should just stop all these nonsense |

Obasanjo is right. Cracks still exist that are being ignored. Proactive leaders think ahead of the now. That's what obj is doing.
Obasanjo is the last but one real president Nigeria had. The rest and particularly the one there now simply doesn't seem to care and only interested on his hold on power.
Gone are the days we had presidents! Obasanjo as corrupt as he was as president is still the only two nationalist and detribalised presidents to have ever held that seat in the history of Nigeria. The other one was Yar'Adua but his time didn't last long to clearly flesh out his true ideology but within his short time as president he was probably the best we've ever had. |

Igbophobia: Killing our Igbos from Asaba may have cost Murtala Muhammed his life if karma is real/ Many people don't know this because that history is not taught in our schools but Murtala Muhammed was the one who spearheaded the counter coup that killed Aguiyi ironsi, and immediately after that coup it was him who encouraged the northern military men to murder their Eastern compatriots in the barracks, he also was responsible for the encouraging the pogrom that claimed the lives of innocent Easterners in Kano, and other northern states. Murtala 's goal was to pull northern Nigeria out of Nigeria with those actions, but he was talked out of it by some British and Nigerian diplomats and intellectuals, and was convinced to support the enthronement of Gowon as the head of state ( there was a reason Gowon was powerless to stop the massacres of Easterners going on in Nigeria at that time, it was because those who made him "king" were involved in it), even then, his animosity towards the easterners and especially Igbos was still unquestionably high and that was especially made more clearly by his involvement in the Asaba genocide. |

If you are too poor to cater for children, stay away from childbirth. STAY AWAY! That does not justify these barbaric violence on children by those they're given to as guardians. |
