As bad as Aba power may be? There's only been two major power interruptions in Aba this year, it's not like it's been epileptic or something, the issues are with the gas supplier and not even Aba power

Each time there is power outage due to shortage of gas, na the same people dey start the wailing.

On average Aba gets more electricity than anywhere else in the country. Since this year there's been only two power interruptions in Aba, first was in July which lasted for 1 week due to difficulty in importing parts for the gas company and the second one being two days ago. Apart from that there's been uninterrupted power supply in Aba throughout the year.
It's not Otti propaganda like your Tinubu govt, the problem is not even from Aba power but from the company that supplies the gas to Geometric.

Yes! I had wonderful relationship with my parents, in our early formative years my Dad was our coolest buddy, taught us a lot of things way beyond the level of a primary school kid, I mean astrophysics, biology, etc. He loved to tell us stories for hours and we were always eager to hear what he has in store for us everyday ( although later as we got older we started dreading asking him questions, any questions at all because Popsy will spend the entire rest of the day answering that question and diving into uncharted territories we never asked for 😂😂) , he was kind but strict, sheltered us from a lot of things in the world and celebrated our little wins, when we became teenagers we started seeing him as grumpy old guy, but as we passed that stage and got older we realised "holy damn! This man saved us from a lot of vices" , great dad he was.

My mother on the other hand was an angel in disguise, she was stricter than my dad and softer than him at the same time. Our best friend when the world comes crashing down, she's always there for you even before you asked, even if you just want to push through it on your own without bothering anybody you will find out that by the time you got to the finishing line she's already gone ahead to clear the pathway for you. Almost like she was a telepath. And we enjoy going to events with her because OMG!! Nuff said! She raised us so well, and was our best friend come rain and shine.

I and my siblings miss both of them dearly.

Completely killed them off, their CEO after some sober reflection declared "WE LOST" when it became apparent that they were well and truly out of the game. It's really sad because Nokia had great phones, their designs were on a class of it's own but that one decision killed them. It's especially more tragic when you consider the fact that Google android approached them first to be the pioneer of their OS but they instead went for windows.

The market had already left them by that time. Breaking in was very difficult, Samsung, Huawei and Google were were in control of the Android market by this time.

They had first banked on their Symbian because they thought they owned the market. With the advent of smartphones, they had the option of MicrosoftOS or Google Android . They made the wrong choice and pitched their tent with Microsoft. That was the end

If they were smart they would have ran two line of phones, Microsoft OS series version and Android series versions and then weigh which version is doing better in the market and invest on that.

One of the major reasons why Microsoft OS bombed was that it was very similar in looks and feel as the windows 8 OS on PCs which a lot of PC users heavily criticised for being wonky, and non user friendly. Another thing was that it lacked sufficient apps on it's apps store.

i read an academic paper on what Nokia did wrong that made them lose their huge market share when I was doing a research on managing strategic change ….. and the answer came down to nothing….. Nokia ddnt do anything..

Nokia dominated the market with their unique hardware designs, and good battery life from meat pie shape to mini laptop look, and even designs that change shapes like transformers … but when iPhone came, instead of Nokia responding with a similar version of its competitors’ design to have something to feed consumers that will follow the new trend ..
But no….they were complacent….
they would have remain up there with iPhone as the two phones running their unique OS while others stayed on android …

Thats why u see everyone doing virtually the same thing, because no one wants to take the risk of doing something widely different from trend and end up like Nokia

what killed Nokia was Microsoft OS, they had the opportunity to go android and stay at the top of the game but they stuck with Microsoft for far too long, giving Samsung and iPhone to overtake them.

Yea there are some struggling Nigerian migrants here but I'm not struggling , not even when I was in Nigeria , I've sat on the same table with TY Danjuma, Sani Abacha and Babangida, the two Orjis and Sanusi so that should give you a rough idea of how well connected and financially well secured my family as a whole is. But I'm not here to measure measure wealth, only people with low mentality does that, I don't like boasting, I'm very down to earth unless someone draws my foot outside like you just did, but this is only distracting us from the main topic which is about a car that just got totalled. And to that I say and maintain that the car is finished! No mechanic would ever get that car working properly again both in Nigeria and here in Canada , I have seen this happen before, I gave you an example of my boss car that got submerged at Agungi (2019) and mine just last year although not fully submerged still got damaged and needed series of repairs, the flood was only as high as the tip of the tires and still I spent a considerable amount of money to repair it, how much more this car that's totally submerged and would be underwater for at least 4 hours. Ask any mechanic you know if this car is salvageable and hear what they will tell you.
