At this stage in Syria , it's a supremacy war . The Christians are largely subdued and voiceless. The Shia sect of Assad is under assault by the Sunni faction of Alqaeda and ISIS orphans. Turkey Sunni is aiding and propping up the jihadists. Erdogan hopes to neutralize the Syrians in the end and return as the Sultan of the Ottoman caliphate . Another enemy is the Kurdish people who are being fought by the Syrian Sunnis abd Turkey. Once they are also subdued and brought under heel , we shall see the Syrians terrorists split into who who should lead. Erdogan or those who claim lineage to the prophet.
Another never ending war will start with Erdogan probably invading Syria on basis of Turkish security.He can use a proposed pipelive from Qatar through Syria to Europe via Turkey as an excuse to safeguard that investment. That will happen if Erdogan is still in power.
In short the prospect of peace in Syria is bleak. There shall be a lot of infighting till they get a dictator.
Israel will not be attacked , a faction dare not after seeing how Hezbollah was humbled and top leadership decimated by IDF. Syria Druze community is safe from HTS as of now thanks to IDF occupying the south western part of Syria.
