Palestine should get their state, but without any Hamas element. If you notice, all these countries pledging to recognise Palestine as a state all have a caveat as long as hamas will not be a part of the government nor have anything to do with it . But Hamas on the other hand have declared that they will not be laying down their arms and will want to be integrated into the military and police of the Palestinian state. So in a way both Israel and Hamas are being the cog in the wheel of the Palestinian state.

Defeating Hamas is difficult, they are not a conventional army, they dress in civilian clothings and are embedded with the population, they also hide underground. Israel has everything they need to wipe out Hamas but that would lead to way more deaths than the current number we have at the moment. We're talking about 300-500k deaths including their hostages.

Hamas were on the verge of agreeing to the latest ceasefire agreement presented by Israel but France pledged to recognise the Palestine state which gave Hamas a leverage and the belief that their methods is actually working.

This whole thing would have been over last two weeks but for Macron and his novice politics. They will recognise it on the condition that Hamas disarms and leave the strip. That has been the stance of every European countries that have pledged to recognise a Palestine state.
