He doesn't want to offend or step on toes as many people will come up with different interpretations of his stance and also try to twist whatever he says which may jeopardize his presidential ambition and that is his fear

But that silence also make people to feel that you're unsympathetic and doesn't want to get involved in their welfare

Truth be told, It's really difficult for him because apart from South West, Tinubu has more enemies than allies in other regions of the country

The race is under a massive and well-coordinated attack by northern elites. Never a point in history that the West has ever been offended or maltreated in the South. In fact, they have benefited more from the sharing formula of the southern region. They will soon walk back home to the South as the prodigal son did. Only an unwise child thinks a stranger-bond is better than a family's.

I feel nothing but pity for the west. A region well educated but fair poorly in social judgment and understanding the times.

Political Activist, Timi Frank, has called on a former Governor Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to speak up in defence of the Yoruba race now under fierce attacks by herdsmen, bandits and kidnappers.

This happened even as the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, berated President Muhammadu Buhari and Tinubu, over the recent crisis in Oyo State as well as across the Southwest and other regions of Nigeria.

Frank, in a statement in Abuja, on Monday, also decried the spate of insecurity in the country, especially in the South West, saying that Buhari and Tinubu should be held responsible for the crises.

He urged the APC leader to break his silence and speak up against the attacks in his region, saying his continued silence does not portray him as a leader who has the interest of his people at heart.

He said: “The crisis in the South-West should be solely blamed on Tinubu who foisted Buhari on Nigerians and especially on the Southwest.

“How can Tinubu continue to keep mute over the attacks in Oyo state and other Southwest states?

“Tinubu is a leader of the Yorubas in Southwest. Asiwaju cannot be silent over matters involving threats to life, peace and security of his people. 

"His continued silence has become too loud, especially owing to the fact that he was the major influence and the reason the Yorubas voted massively for Buhari in 2015.

"Tinubu's silence shows he is only protecting his business interests in the South-West as well as protecting his political ambition.

“He does not want to shatter his relationship with Buhari which in turn, by his calculation, would attract the President's nod for him to have a shot at the presidency come 2023.

"But as a leader of the region, Tinubu should speak against the attacks against his people and not be driven by his selfish 2023 presidential ambition."

The Bayelsa-born activist added: “Nigeria is more divided under Buhari than it has ever been before. Buhari's government has polarised the country across religious and ethnic lines.

"This government is so clueless and incompetent that it recognises and shows a soft hand on terrorist groups like Boko Haram, killer herdsmen and bandits, but sadly mete out cruelty on innocent and patriotic Nigerians.

"Look at the number of security personnel it sent to wickedly dehumanise and arrest peaceful #EndsSARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.

“Yet, the Buhari government can't send a similar proportion of law enforcement agencies after killer herdsmen. 

“Instead, the President is emboldening the terrorist groups with his direct and indirect support, even against the South-West region and the likes of Tinubu have kept silent while their people suffer."

Frank, however, urged all Nigerians and especially the leaders in the South-West to "unite and fight this common enemy."

He urged other regions to also join in the fight, warning that if the trend is allowed to fester, that sooner or later, the crisis of insecurity may grow out of proportion in every region of the country.

Jakande was sentenced to jail just like his boss, Awolowo. But Jakande was crying in the court not because of himself but for Awolowo. When Awolowo saw him, approached him and asked him "why crying for only me..." Jakande replied "I don't mind going to jail and even adding your terms to mine, why South.West, why is it that the only Premier in Nigeria that will be jailed is the Premier of my Region?".
Awolowo replied "Dry your tears, God sometimes keep his own away when danger is approaching...."
And that was what happened! The reason why Nigeria didn't break in 1967 was Obafemi Awolowo.
Gowon said "I needed him badly more than I needed the Nigerian Army".....Why? Two reasons;
1. The original rallying point of the Yoruba was Awolowo. If Yoruba supported the break up, no Jupiter can stop it. Therefore, to keep Nigeria one, Awolowo must endorse it!!!!

Need I say more? Murtala Mohammed had ensured in his Transition Programme that Shehu Shagari would not contest but after his death, OBJ relaxed the
rules.....Shagari was allowed to contest and won but in 1984, Buhari stopped Shagari again, describing his election as "shamelessly rigged".......

Awolowo deliberately spent a lot of money in establishing exclusive investments for the Western Region where he thought the SW Progressive Politics would be financed. He said "SW need stable source of fund to fight politically because a poor people cannot fight the Central Government...". No one knew this secret until his Deputy had issues with Awolowo and leaked the secret to the opponent. He told them "fight Awolowo from now till forever, if you didn't destroy the Western Nigerian Investments, SW will always be buoyant financially and they will fight you and win you...." Wow!!!!! From that time, to cut the story short, SW was targeted! AWO was accused of fraud. Investments
converted to Full state investment and later Odu'a Investment. And later, during the military regime,
there was a time when all SW governors were non Yorubas, Odu'a investment was crushed. Cold dead!
But LAGOS of Tinubu reinvested the progressive interest in a more sophisticated way. MAY THE SECRET OF LAGOS NOT BE LEAKED THE WAY ENEMIES LEAKED THE SECRET OF SW!!! The Story of Progressive Politics in Nigeria since 1954 had its Genesis from Awolowo's Palm Tree which, After processing, have its revelation from Tinubu's Broom!!!
