Do you realise that the "don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers" was not referring to marriage but any form of relationship?

Do you have friends, business partners, family, boss that's an unbeliever?
Then you should cut them off from your life and stop associating with them.
You should only associate with fellow believers.

Cos if you have any unbeliever as a friend or family or business partner then you're as wrong as anyone who marries an unbeliever according to the verse you referenced.

Balance is very important. There are verses which balance this. Otherwise you become an extremist who is just a stone throw from being a terrorist fighting for his God.

This is where you must learn to have personal study and not swallow everything your pastor says hook line and sinker.

Juxtapose the verse you referenced 2 Cor 6:14 with 1 Cor 7:12-15

Also remember that Moses married an unbeliever from another tribe entirely.
Yet when his siblings complained about it, God himself defended him and even struck Miriam with leprosy.

My advice to the OP,

If you can marry a fellow Christian like you, it is advisable you do so cos it should help you both grow together as Christians.
But the bible does not forbid you from marrying an unbeliever. What you should be concerned with is that you both share core value systems together.
And you're both prepared with the challenges from family and society.

Yeah I know it involves all other relationship apart from marriage. Yes I have unbelievers as friends and even parent but marriage is deeper and more serious now

Jesus Christ did not even pray concerning the subjugation of His people, the Israelites, who were under Roman occupation during His time.

God first gave the order to the Israelites to pray for the prosperity of the land that he gave them. Apostle Paul teachings cannot contradict the mind of Christ. We pray for peace in the nation for bcuz it makes preaching the gospel easier.

I am an upcoming artiste . Who depends on people to help me , help in me terms of reposting, sharing my songs. So when I wanted to drop one of my track, I chatted and negotiated with a lot of people to that they would help me repost and reshare my new song , though I have done this kinda stuff several times but it isn't working out. So recently I decided to drop these New jams and then I had to chat a lot of people , when I say a lot of people I mean hundreds of my friends in my account friend list. I told them they are going to help me repost my song when it drops. Ladies and gentlemen all of them agreed to do so and I got hoped and assurance that I have a lot of people to help me push my song. To my own very surprised when I dropped this song I couldn't even get ordinary comments or likes. All the people I chatted up who agreed to repose share all went agog. I even went back to their dm to remind them of their promise. Some of them even snubs me and didn't reply me again . And they are reluctant in helping me share the post as promised. Wat pains me is my message showing seen and unreplied and the person is online . to my own very surprise , even my classmates all snubbed .

Now the advice I need from you is this, should I block all this set of people and recruit a new set of fans. I've been thinking of what to do, am I surrounding myself with the wrong people? Please advise me. should I delete my account and create new one for new people in my life that will support my dreams career and goals. Or should leave them and keep hoping they would support one day ? Thanks your opinions are welcomed.

That's life bro but it's a good thing, in fact a very good thing. Because if you succeed through their hands you will regret it, you will become answerable to them. They will be calling u for shows or events with little or no pay and be famzing you any given time and expect you to swallow it because they brought you up, but if u make it like this through only God, Nobody will feel entitled to your success

The old testament is very, very, very important too, and I'm not in anyway belittling it but the question that was asked about Jesus, the old testament would not answer it clearly. Apostle Paul clearly explained the new covenant of the blood of Jesus and why he is lord.

And the meaning implies that whatever deal/contract you enter into with an unbeliever, be sure that the deal Is 50/50 for both parties.

The verse does not command that you not marry an unbeliever as many of you have been indoctrinated into believing. The author of the letter does not have any power to give you any commands of his own. He is instead to teach you that which is of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ did not give you any commandments regarding who you can marry and religion.

And yes it also applicable in business and entering contracts but pls your interpretation of it is wrong. The concept of being yoked stem from when they use Oxen to farm those days. The two animals that they will yoke together has to be equal in size if not there will be trouble. So being yoked with an unbeliever is what makes it unequal because you two are not of the same levels
