Guys, I don't really want to be a bringer of bad news but you guys are not being realistic.

The earliest any of us can make it to Germany is 2021 and thats if our government no messup again oo.

Let me even ask, should they open airports now..... How long do you think it takes to get appointment, go for interview, wait for approval mail and then visa stamping?

Ordinarily, these things take a minimum of 3-5 months. All things being equal, we are looking at December.

So even if they should open Airports now, there is now way any of us will make it in time to Germany for october. That is if due process is followed. Unless they will rush it and process everything fast. But Nigeria being one of the least favourable countries on their table, its highly unlikely.

All of you shouting they should open the airports too should know that our leaders are clueless and just hanging onto straws. They don't really know how to manage a pandemic at alarming levels and thats why they are being skeptical of rushing things.

It won't suprise you that all the so called isolation centres are just scams and non existent. Only on papers.

That is why they are willing to cancel a whole WAEC and close up our international airports till when God knows when.

The point am trying to make is that we should stop behaving as people who are desperate and have ulterior motives.

Only Nigerians will scheme of ways to beat a process vis a vis going to cotonou for a visa appointment... Desperation

Only Nigerians and black men are willing to trek through the Magreb and swim Oceans to land in Europe still to end up as Prostitutes or drug pimps most times... Desperation

Only Nigerians are willing to write Testas exams and Take up language courses they don't really need all in a bid to land in Europe... Desperation.

There is a reason the Japanese passport is visa Free and has access to over 191 countries worldwide free of charge. While Nigerian passport has access to only 45 countries visa free. 35 out of these 45 counties are all in Africa! The 35 countries are not even the good ones like South Africa. Mostly the useless ones like Mali.

Even the remaining 10 countries or so are remarkably the most useless in the world. Imagine Bangladesh, Tuvalu, Iran and Cambodia. You see?

So I will pack my bags now to migrate and destination is cambodia or Iran or Tuvalu? Gini bu Tuvalu bikonu? Can you imagine? Funny enough, Nigerians are all flooded in these useless countries doing all sorts to survive.

The truth of the matter is that most of us are just trying to run away from bad leadership and directionless living courtesy of bad governance. Not that we are really bad or messed up in ourselves.

Desperation breeds a lot of things e.g Greed, Avarice, Acrimony, Hatred and most times, disappointments. I don't really gbadun the way Nigerians does things and thats why Oyibo people they take us as mugu.

We must learn to be patient in all we do because believe me, the patient dog still eats the fattest bone.

Many of us still have over 10,000 Euros locked away in Germany all in the name of blocked accounts for over a year. Some of these money was borrowed. Imagine if we channelled this money into some investments all these while while probably still hoping to pursue academic success in Europe? Imagine the amount of money some of us would have made extra!

Have anybody noticed the bureaucracies these people put in front of you when you want to retrieve your money? Did anybody notice how hard it is?

On the surface level, it may seem normal but the truth is that the Germans and Europeans want your money but don't really want you in their country. They will now be using your money for investments and bettering the lives of their citizens!

Remember how they included testas exams as a prerequisite for admissions to category A? This is an exam that is mainly for juveniles who have not seen the four walls of a university. But you need to see the way Nigerians rushed this exams and casted it. Even Professionals and Professors were taking these exams at an exorbitant amount! Las las what happened? The German embassy crookedly removed it from their requirements. Millions if not billions down the drain again!

They purposely don't give appointments or do selective appointments all in a bid to select the best of the best for training. Some people will mumuishly send money to Germany even before appointment. 2 years down the line, no appointment. They need your money but don't need you. Las Las if you demand your money, they setup a lot of obstacles for you to make sure you are discouraged from getting the money. They will find one stupid document and tell you to bring to unblock your account. They may name it something funny like Oberfreingunt or Auslandermontus. They will tell you to approach your home country embassy and get this document which may cost you between 25 to 50 euros to get. This may seem small to you but in reality, if you calculate the number of Nigerian people these German guys racket daily through these means, you will shout.

If you still doubt me, compare the amount of visa rejections on their side vs the visa rejections of our side. You will see the amount of money Europe is stealing from Africa through Visa applications and denials alone.

Oyibo people sabi do yahoo yahoo well but they use official means only. These people are using technology and politics to impoverish us but we refuse to hear.

I applied to 2 schools already and have been getting update about UK VISA since the day they gave me conditional admission letter.

Infact the 2 schools still message me today giving me assurance that they will secure the VISA for me that they are working with the VISA body to ensure that international student get VISA.

Before, it used to be that people will get appointment and share with the house to uplift spirits. But these days due to scarcity of AD, people will get and pretend that they did not get? Why?

Most of them who got appointments even got help and infos from this thread! At a time, I was asking if it has gotten this worse that not even one Nairalander got appointment week in week out? I never knew that people were getting appointments and hoarding it.

Now due to Corona Virus, a lot has changed. Appointments and visas are being cancelled. People are now uploading letters. To serve what purpose exactly?

Even our useless President Ajala the traveller has refused to travel since! Nigerian politicians have refused to travel too!

Honestly, this Corona Virus seems to be a blessing in disguise. We all die here!

I always say that there is a reason black people are cursed to be poor and always begging.

FYI, hope you are aware that incase of Visa refusal and the applicant applies for withdrawal of funds.... The said Euros is coming back to your account because Fintiba only REFUNDS MONEY TO THE ACCOUNT NUMBER IT WAS SENT FROM?

This implies the person's Naira will be with you and Euros will be with you. What will that imply? Start looking for ways to send it to the person again and in worst case scenarios.... Run away with it?

It doesn't matter if the person knows you down to the grave. I have seen where a brother duped his blood brother in this kind of transaction.

Please remember that I started my initial comment with "While the intentions may be right". This implies am not calling anybody anything yet.

Am just informing the general public that rather than all these hectic process and probably a "HAD I KNOWN" at last, simply FOLLOW THE OPTION IS LISTED ABOVE.

By the way, I dont know who gave Nairalanders the stuppid impression that Euros always add money like that. Euros or any other currency doesn't just add 50 or 100 naira overnight. It takes a process. Most times months and atimes years.

The difference it normally adds in a space of time is extra 2 naira or worst case 3 naira in months. If you times it by the currency being changed to... Say 10,000 Euros.... What you have is extra 20,000.

Is that 20,000 saved worth the risk of gambling over 4 million naira?

No matter how genuine it may look, save yourself the stress by going through the bank route and paying the normal fees

If you are sending money to Germany, please and please use access bank. Open a fintiba account. Open access bank Euro domiciliary account. Fund it with Euro. If you dont know how to detect fake or torn Euros, tell the Mallam or BDC guy to follow you into access. Once he funds your account, you transfer the Naira equivalent into his account. Then approach the bank manager or the people incharge of foreign transactions. Tell them you want to send money to Germany. They will give you a form to fill and move the Euro from your account to the designated account number Fintiba gave you. Within 3 days, your money will appear in your account in Germany!

N.B
Access Bank cant send more than a certain amount at a go. You have to transfer the money twice. All these costs less than 20k per transaction when I did my own. I don't know the charges now.

Again, I don't think its advisable to go through GT Bank. During my initial trial, they accepted only 1000 Euros deposit per week. This means it will take you over 10 weeks to fund your dorm account with them.

Whichever way, its far better than entrusting your money to a total stranger. People are VERY MEAN AND HEARTLESS IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD. THEY WILL WIPE YOU WITHOUT THINKING TWICE. I CAN BET MY BALLS THAT THESE WIPERS MONITOR THIS FORUM ON DAILY BASIS.

One peculiar thing I forgot to share in my experience last time was the very fact that

ONLY LIKE 8-10 people came for interview on my own day!

Do you know how many applications they receive daily and are processing only 10?

Be aware too that the 10 is a mixture of students, reunion, tourist and work visa people oo. Implyin that we may be only 5 students.
