Helo sweet mamas and papies, am here to show my appreciation, with my full loads of questions and worries, you answered in love. Now in the US with my mum and baby, no problem at all at the poe in houston, infact the officer didnt know i was pregnant, he asked why we are in houston, i told him vacation and, before i could finish, he just said ohh, dts nice on vacation, i quickly chipped in, "and for childbirth too" he was like, are you pregnant, yes i am, he stood up abit to look at my tummy, he then asked how far gone i am, i told him 34weeks, he said waoo and you dont look it, well, but to me, i feel am.carrying the biggest tummy in the world. He stamped my baby, stamped my mum's and stamped mine too amd welcome us to usa. Proceeded to baggage claim and then to inspectiom, i guess its the monetary inspectiom side, was asked to fill a form, asked why i had so much money, i told her because am coming for delivery and i am paying cash, she asked for the receipt of my last delivery, i gave her everything, she checked and said what kind of work do you do, to have all these cash, before i could reply, she tapped on her system amd said ohh, ok, come along with me to where your foodstuff will go through inspection, she later helped me with the trolley, saying "you look tired and you look like you wanna drop that baby here now, let me help you? She helped me pushed the trolley while my mum back my baby, i just drag along cos am so tired and wornout, it was late. At the food inspection, my knorr chicken was collected, even though it doesnt have wrap, they knew it, they collected my tubers of yam, whole 3, chaii, i kept saying, my yam, my yam, they just bursted into laughter and said its not allowed. Well, i got to the hotel and found out that i still have a small yam left in my bag, it looks like diamond to me. So that was how my poe experience went .

In the spirit of giving back, i have come with my first step of dancing shoes, thanks to my wonderful Nl, you people are so great, thanks, thanks, thanks. About my mum that was scheduled for appointment at the embassy on 24th, which was yesterday. Her interview was booked for 7:45am, but we got their before 6am, she joined the queue and was checked . She went in with all supoorting documents, but suprisingly by after 8am, i saw my mum walking out, she was looking for us, i didnt see smile or her, she was looking expressionless, at that moment, i was having turning stomach, like i want to poop, but i need to know what went wrong, she just came towards me and say down, my dearest mum abeg talk, wetin happen, she said she doesnt even know, i said what is it you dont know now abeg talk ontime, i won poop, that was when my mum remembered i am pregnant oo, she just bursted into laughter and was like they have collected my passport and gave me this sheet of paper, i said gooe, its that sheet of paper that we need. So her interview went thus.
officer: hello, how are you
Mum: am fine
officer: do u need an interpreter,
Mum: hmm, let me make a trial, i think if you speak slowly and small small, i should understand
Officer: okk, i will do that as much as possible
mum: thanks.
officer: you are planning to go to the usa, who is sponsoring you.
Mum: my son-in-law
officer:okk what is his name, clicking on the system before him.
mum:..............( i told her to make sure she makes eye contact with the officer always, to show her confid3nce and sincerity, but its like the officer is showing his own confidence and sincerity to the system before him, kikikik).
officer: what does he do.
mum:he is a ..........
Officer: why are you going to usa
mum: for vac with my children( son-in law, daughter and grandchild)
officer: where do you intend to go?
mum: houston
officer: how many children do you have?
mum: ....... number.
Officer:okk come and pick your visa in so so day. he gave her the white paper and congratulated her. And that was it. But before the interview, my mum said they just kept picking her up from sit and straight to the interviewer without delay, reason why she got out early.

Austine2020:
She will get the Visa for Sure by the grace of God.Your baby has to go with both passports or else the Nig visa in his US passport is still valid up to the time of your departure to US and your arrival back to Nig after birth, then u can go with Only his US passport, but if not, then u have to travel with his Both passports.
Amen, thank you so much, i claim that prayer for her ijn. Yes baby nigeria visa on usa passport will expire next year, so that means i will make use of his passport and take along his nija passport to be on safer side. Thank u so much Austine2020, i so mucj appreciate your kind responses and time. I will sure update you how all goes later.

I think Its very Ok, since u renew through Dropbox and still sent change intent letter to the embassy. Most especially, its not your first visas and not the first time u or your family are traveling to the US,unlike the family i told u about,it was their first US visas and they got it for Vacation. but never travel for vacation and later wanted to use it for childbirth. And on the process of looking for her mum or her mum in law visa, wahala started.
Ohh okk, thank goodness, this is not our first time, me and hubby went before for vacation the first time, then went back again when i got pregnant and came home with our first baby, now america baby is going on first vacation, with me for deleivery so thats why we wnat to apply for my mum so she and baby can have fun time while i face the delivery wakawaka and hubby just transit through usa too few months ago with his own visa. I just pray my mum get the utmost favour. Though a friend was telling me they wont bother her because of her age, but i dont wnat to take any risk. Also i dont know when going on now, will my baby use his america passport or nigeria passport as america passport have nigeria visa on it but nigeria passport doesnt have any visa on it.

Before u apply for your mum,I hope u got your visa for childbirth or atleast u have used it for the purpose it was issued if u didnt got it for childbirth. If not, better travel to the US first before she apply. because, i guess i have read here of one family or so that wants to apply for her mum or mum in law, after they refused her mum or mum in law visa and still calls the family back on appointment and later cancelled the whole family Visas. So pls be careful so as to avoid stories that touches the heart.Am just saying!
Austine2020, we were given the visa since 2014 which we used for holiday with hubby, later we used same visa for childbirth last year, which we informed the embassy while going and all bills paid and sent to the embassy in nigeria. We renewed the visa by dropbox this year, hubby has used his, as me and baby are going now, i already sent letter to embassy again about the intention of going for delivery and reveived response. Hope that is ok?

Good morning lovely people, please does anyone have information on applying for B1/B2 visa for my mum of 74years of age. As me and my baby are travelling together for my childbirth, hubby wont be around till baby is born, we just thought of applying for my mum to come along with us to reduce stress of caring for my baby and delivery and for her to have a holiday 3xperience. Her visa fees has been paid and appointment scheduled for this oct, we have moved out flight plan till after her interview. Please i just wnat some infos which are;
1- please what are the likely questions she will be asked at her interview and likely documents to go along with as hubby stand as the sponsor.
2- has anyone flown turkish airline from lagos to houston, please what was your experience like. Thanks so much

Try and book on Qatar with your laptop. Sometimes, your mobile device isn't compatible with their website and you'll get better results if you do so from a laptop!
ohh okk, maybe that is the issue, thanks so much, Dwebb55 i will try with laptop or ipad then.

If u didn't read. Don't say u did. Simple.
What will i gain in lying? To gain attention or what for? Or will.it answer the information am asking for? If i didnt read, how will i know each parts has 400 pages or know Dr fagbohun was mentioned? See i just find it hard to understand most of you guys mentality. Because you like to lie means i did. I used oakbend last year, was with Dr fagbohun for ante natal and Dr sheri was the one that delivered me. In part of 2 or 3 of this trend i saw someone complained that fagbohun doesnt attend to people well and she complained to him. The issue i had with him was that he has special days he delivers, he couldnt deliver me and my child wasnt able to have his circumcision done, till we got to nigeria. I didnt want that to happen this time, that was why i had to read through and see if there could be option, but i noticed people still refer him more her and ome Dr f. But i dont asking if anyone knows is bad and saying am.lying about reading it is just pathetic.

Yes.
Give yourself a target. 100 pages a day.
Skip the discussions that you are not interested in.
Get a jotter and make notes.
Nobody is going to do it for you.
Cheers.
I think you have hormonal issue, get my post right, i didnt ask for procedures or what is expected or whatsoever, i already have what is needed, i only ask for someone that have info about another recent doctor aside fagbohun, mind you i used fagbohun last year, so asking if anyone is aware of anyone this yeari dont think it should make you snap. And for the accomodation, i asked if anyone has info on accomodation, cos due to the trend i read some condemned the accomodation i got aware of and i wrote it there that we had bad experience about accomodation the last time we travelled. So what really is the issue. If you dont know then let it be please.

I have read and i have been through all that was discussed, maybe you didnt see my first question, i have been to usa for vac, then later to have my first child, i used doc fagbohun. Other post were 2015 which i have been there, now am asking simply of recent information, i have my visa, getting close to travel and i think asking if there is any recent info is an offence. I already said i learnt from what i read. If you dont have info, then skip it.

I asked a simple question here and i see some people laughing, oh so serious. Am i expected to go through part 1 to part 4 where part 1 alone is 400 pages. I saw houston was mentioned most and Dr fagbohun was mentioned as well which i have used him before, so that is why am asking if anyone know of any other doctor. And i asked of accomodation info, but i realised some people just choose to roll off their bed. I read from part one till part 4 till this particular post for days, that was why i thought this will be a good forum to ask. But since some people choose to make mockery of themselves, then goodluck to them.
