You really think people complaining and warning others are poor? LmaoooAsk people in Benin how much to withdraw a thousand Naira during the Cash scarcity, at a time it was going to 300 naira per 1k, we get those cash for free from people who pay with cash and we pay it out as withdrawal, charges started becoming 100 naira on each 1k food you eat, do you know how much people made during that period? The interesting part is that I don't even stay in Benin, someone was running everything for me, I stay in Auchi and there was a guy with a Pos collecting money on behalf of meat sellers with pos during those period, 100 naira on each 1k you spend, he was working for like 5 meat seller, you don't need a prophet to tell you that he was making a lot of money daily, you can critise the government, but you have your life to live, and I see no reason why you are castigating people for saying the next 4 years will favour them, it will favour me, if the op want to give up on life because Tinubu is his president he might as well commit suicide and just go, enough of this shenanigans. |
I want to ask the op just one question, because you supported Peter Obi and he didn’t win or he was rigged out, does that means you have no life to live within the next 4 years if the court does not remove Tinubu? Let’s start thinking like human, aside politics we have to live our lives, are you trying to tell me that you have given up on life in the next 4 years? Like you have already believed that this 4 years will not favor you and you’re doom as far as Tinubu is your president? This is a foolish approach to life, I believe the 4 years of Tinubu will Favour me, not because i necessarily believe he will turn Nigeria around but because I believe in my own capability and ability to look for opportunities, the best year of my life was 2020, during lock down when people were crying bitterly I made a lot of money from that opportunity, when Buhari caused Cash scarcity this year you know what I did? I bought a Pos and went to my mom’s restaurant in Benin, they were working with it, since there were no cash, you simply eat and you pay with pos paying just 100 extra, the little cash we got from customers we pay it out charging a reasonable fee, you know what happened? At a time I was making an average of 40k per day before everything went back to normalcy, but I could have been at home crying like you that Buhari regime was not favoring me, instead of that I found a way to make a lot of money, if you continue this mindset you will die poor, all government will set it’s own policy, some people will look at those policies and make opportunities out of it, but some people like you will rather be here wasting away and crying, if you don’t change your mindset the next 4 years is going to be a waste for you just like you wanted. Ps permit my long epistle, I sha hope that you will have sense one day. |

![]() That was my first issue with Obi, a Nigerian politician forming saint, he was uplifted to the position of an assistant God by his followers, that was the red flag for me, if any Obi supporter can stand in the presence of Ogun and swear with their life that Obi never stole a dime then I will start taking them serious. These people be saying Obi has no EFCC case, does that make him a saint? Dr Mimiko has no EFCC case since he left office, in fact in my opinion he is one of the best Governor Ondo state ever had, he performed much more than this present Akeredolu but he was never a saint, he stole enough for him to go under the radar after he left office even Oshiomole has no EFCC case, but he is a big arm robber that used Edo money to build a mansion and University in his village. Now Obi mad twitter and Nairaland supporters thinks Obi can do no wrong, someone that invested state fund in a Bank where he has interest even when doctors and teachers were on strike, someone that invested state fund in a family business but no,he is God so he can do no wrong. In professor Soyinka voice, they are all Mumu |

![]() WORDS ON MARBLE "I will not only remain in APGA, I will die for APGA. The day I quit APGA is the day I will quit politics. APGA made me what I am today. APGA is like a movement. I have enough funds to last me outside politics any day I decide to leave APGA, which I have made up my mind never to leave, Igbos don't need APGA in Aso Rock for them to achieve their aims. APGA is the identity and the reflection of the Igboman. No Anambrian should vote for PDP. PDP is a party alien to Igbos, the party is synonymous with destruction” Peter Obi |

The chair of Lagos-listed Geregu Power Plc, Femi Otedola, has upped his interest in the conglomerate Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp) to 6.3 per cent, two separate notifications by his shareholders to his registrar, seen by PREMIUM TIMES, showed on Saturday. Apt Securities and Funds Limited midwifed the purchase of 105.5 million shares, temporarily raising Mr Otedola’s holding to 5.8 per cent from the original stake of 2.2 billion (5.5 per cent), declared to the Nigerian Exchange on Thursday. “We write to inform you that our client Femi Otedola (C4430272AP) has acquired additional unit of Transcorps shares that brings his percentage holdings with us to 5.8,” Apt Securities and Funds told the registrar Africa Prudential in a letter. Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited, in its own letter, informed Africa Prudential the energy magnate procured shares adding up to 228.4 units through the firm. That takes his entire holding in Transcorp to 6.3 per cent or 2.6 billion shares. At current market value, Mr Otedola’s investment in Transcorp by way of equity now stands at over N6.3 billion. “Once you have hit the 5 per cent threshold for substantial shareholding, there is no requirement for you to make further disclosure on additional acquisition,” an official of the Nigerian Exchange told PREMIUM TIMES on condition of anonymity.” “Once you have hit that 5 per cent mark and they’ve announced that you are now a substantial shareholder, there is no further obligation on you to announce to either the NGX, SEC or CAC that you have bought more shares. It’s given that you are already a substantial shareholder,” he added in response to the question about whether his organisation has been informed of the development. The two letters show the NGX was carbon copied in the notifications. Mr Otedola, who holds the most shares in FBN Holdings, the parent company of Nigeria’s oldest lender FirstBank, is now the biggest shareholder in Transcorp after UBA Nominees. Pepperdem88:Such a great question, Mark and doesn't own Facebook, in fact a quick google search will show you that Mark is the CEO and controlling shareholder of Meta, Elon must doesn't own Tesla too, he's the majority shareholders, Tesla has thousands of owners, these are technical things that you must understand... A plc company is owned by it's shareholders, a private company can have one owner. |
A plc company is owned by it's shareholders and managed by it's directors, if a plc company has 1000 shareholders, then it has 1000 owners. of course Majority shareholders have the right to vote for and elect members of a company's board of directors, which means majority shareholders have a direct say in how the company is run. So the more your shares the more influence you have on the company's decision making, but you're not the sole owner. For you to be the sole owner of a company it has to be a private company. For example, twitter was a public company owned by it's shareholders, Elon musk bought all the shares in the company and turned it into a private company, in this way Elon musk is the owner of Twitter. I hope this become useful to this thread. |
So what is the position of Maxi Nnamdi Kanu in this new Biafra republic?? |
