It's possible to be pregnant and still mensurate normally. I know of a Cousin who was pregnant for five months without even knowing ( she was married though) and people were already calling her iya ibeji ( twins mother) before she decided to go for a test. There is nothing wrong in a doctor referencing a literature in his phone or internet to check up the dosage of a drug or what so ever, especially when the dr is still fresh in practice.There are over hundreds of millions of drug dosages on earth and more come out everyday, so what is the big deal there.Or you expect him to cram all of them, it takes consistent use of some of those drugs to have the dosages of head for different age groups especially in paediatric cases.Is it not better that he checked up the dosage or reference a source to be sure instead of trying to be smart and do the wrong thing? For your information there is no heroism in medical practice.A good Dr is that Dr that knows his limits and knows when to pass the bucks.And, your child is sick and you have decided may be to visit a much younger Dr if at all the person you visited is a Dr and you are complaining that he is not experienced, why not visit a paediatrician, or a much older doctor or you couldn't afford it? Whenever the issue of doctors is raised, people like you are always in a haste to jump out from there cocoon and start masturbating with it because it gives you a rare kind of orgasm you hardly experience from your spouse, its quite understandable anyway. When I was in the university we use to have this mentality that law students and engineering students are too proud,and funny enough some of us avoided them until I came very close to many of them and discovered that it was inferiority complex at work.They were not trained to be proud, they were only being very confident and authoritative, even though some were still very arrogant, but it was just there nature and had nothing to do with there career.Same goes with medical doctors. I understand that these group of people equally pose a threat to your existence because they tend to struggle with you guys in the labour market. You are not different from that bar or club owner that is disturbing the neighbourhood with loud music, they are all noise pollution.When you enter a public transport in a journey of 3hrs and want to preach, pray and sing throughout the whole journey strictly according to your own pattern of prayer, ordering that nobody should answer call or do any other thing, and any body that does otherwise is labelled a witch that wants to cause accident, that is religious intolerance.When you mount large speakers in front of your church or mosque to disturb the serenity of the neighbourhood with noises of preaching , singing and speaking in strange languages, yet the church may not even have up to 20 persons , hence, no need for a public address system, and you think you are doing it for God, you are disturbing your neighbourhood.when you coerce your workers and insist that they must join in group prayers/night vigils in your organisation strictly according to your own pattern of worship without respecting there individual religious ideology or faith, even when it was never part of the terms of appointment, and when they refuse you label the person a demon/agent of darkness, that is religious intolerance.When you mount large speakers in front of your gate and every where around the building simply because your church approved your compound to be used for cell fellowship with a congregation that is barely up to 20 in number, and you mount this speakers even on the staircase without considering the comfort of your tenants even when it was never part of the tenancy agreement, that is religious intolerance. When you coerce all your tenants to participate in night vigils every month according to your own pattern of prayer, and anybody that refuses is labelled a tyrant, that is religious intolerance. Religious intolerance is when you think that your own religious ideology is the best and feel that others won't make heaven. You see many of us are guilty of this thing called Religious Persecution. We do it in one way or the other thinking we re fighting for God. Remember, you practise what ever religion you are practising today because you were born and subjected to a particular environment, or because of the conviction you are privileged to have , its all about faith, you don't have the right to fight another person's faith or label another person inferior because of what he or she has chosen to believe. I am a Christian today because of the strong conviction I still have in Jesus Christ irrespective of the trials that come with it, but I still have very wonderful and good hearted friends with different religious beliefs,and, these people have touched my life in marvelous ways.The truth is that most people want to please God today simply because of the promises attached to it, because of the things they stand to gain here on earth and finally in heaven after reaping the dividends of the earth fully, that is why many people that claim to love God will choose to remain in this earth instead of agreeing to die now now and go to heaven straight and meet the God they so much love without even passing through "purgatory"., This is the reason behind all these religious wars everywhere that is wreaking havoc on this earth...It is simply the SELF at work. We should learn to respect other people's religious ideologies and avoid bringing up religious matters in public gatherings of people with diverse interests, it shows religious maturity. For those of us that believe in God, let us remember always that we re no God, if He never wanted all these religious dichotomies He wouldn't have allowed it , may be if we were all united it would have been easy to build another Tower of Babel . The last time I checked the scripture, I remember Him saying that the battle is His and not ours so let us stop making Him appear weak before mortal men, because even in the midst of all these religious noise everywhere, things seem to get worse by the day, so, it calls for reflection. Believe what ever you want to believe, live peaceful among your fellow men and when people see you they will want to get closer to you to know the stuff you are made of. Religious intolerance is not only when christians wage a crusade against moslems or moslems wage a Jihad against christians, when a christian or a moslem wants to intimidate or corerce an atheist , a free thinker or a traditionalist into his or her own religion, simply becos they belong to the "minority" group in terms of there number in a particular environment, hence, they tend to remain quiet or go unnoticed, it is called religious intolerance. Everybody is very important in this life including the farmer, the Okada rider, the shoemaker and so on. I think the problem most of us have in life is that we have not conquered "self" otherwise we will learn to value and tolerate one another and also stop being unnecessarily envious of one another. The day we learn to avoid such arguments bothering on career ,religion and so on, that's when we will start co existing peacefully, because, nobody will want to be convinced that he or she is less important. Paul in the Holybible understood about that and made mention of that in one of his letters when he said one person plants but another waters but all are important, and thats why he had a succesful ministry.

Op you seems to be suffering from inferiority complex. In as much as I agree with you to some extent that one's profession doesn't change the person's nature, I beg not to agree totally with that. Remember this is a training, so no matter how you want it, as you climb the ladder, you get more and more disciplined, and many aspects of you that are not in tandem with the proffesion are sheded off. However, this is not to say that there are not still some people that may manage to escape that because no system is 100 percent efficient, but, it takes a whole lot of discipline to be a successful doctor in practice. Human beings are too difficult to please, when you tend to be too serious and maintain your lane, they will say you are too proud and arrogant because you are a doctor, when you try to socialise and mix up and live a normal human life outside work schedule, they will say you are not responsible. Op I suggest you mind your business and concentrate on developing yourself and career, if you wanted to study medicine but missed the admission and you still feel you have a calling there, go back and pick JAMB form, it is never too late, and there is no age limit provided you can conquer it when you get there and see it. I have never seen myself making this kind of your imagination or thought before because I am so much engraved in my career and how to fullfil my destiny on earth. Please discover yourself and you won't have time for this kind of write up or thought again.

A lot of Nigerians are always in a haste to come out and bash the doctor for every attrocity commited in the hospital including commited by a mortuary attendant because everybody that puts on a white coat within the hospital is assumed to be a doctor. Funny enough most of these people that come out in d social media to spill trash based on there very little knowledge of pulse rate are people that wanted to study medicine but were not intelligent or patient enough or even hardworking enough to sail through, so, everything about a doctor simply irritates them, they have chosen not to be happy and fullfilled in life.It's a personal choice anyway, so you will just die with it. Now let me state that even in saner climes management of medical emergencies starts even from the sight of injury where they have good and adequate paramedical and ambulance sytems. Even in teaching hospitals, when an unconscious patient is brought to the Emergency wing, the first thing the emergency officer does is to check whether a patient is stil alive or not, and a doctor doesnt need any knowledge of rocket science to do that. You just need to check the vital signs of this patient. Now even in most teaching hospitals its even the nurses at the emergency unit that does that. Please there are no two ways about that patients that are dead on arrival are termed Brought In Dead (BID) and should be taken to the morgue and not admitted into the hospital. A whole lot of Nigerians are fond of patronising quacks, prayer houses, herbalists, etc even at a more costly rate because of there hatred for doctors yet when the chips are down, they still rush down to the hospital expecting you to do magic. It's worthy of note that nigerian doctors are one of the best all over the world no wonder they do exploits when they find themselves in saner climes. Nigeria is a very difficult place to practice medicine because we have very dishonest, ungrateful, hateful and impatient patients. The earlier we start learning to appreciate our doctors even more than our pastors and priests the better for us, because, they do a lot of things, I mean a whole lot of things for us behing the scenes just to get us treated. The blames should be channeled to the government that has failed to provide the necessary facilities and equipments, these doctors you insult at every point in time are forced to improvise and think outside the box to keep you alive. Unfortunately the quacks are takibg advantage of this hatred and a lot of people are perishing for lack of knowledge.Please ask your leaders to equip the hospitals and make good policies that will favour Nigerians so that every Nigerian will have access to quality and affordable health care.
