Timber wants to make it hard to leave this XI compared to Cali. But it is good for Rotation sha. Tomiyasu and Zinny though. Especially Zinny even if white comes back, Timber don cement that xl. Last last he goes back to lb, baba na joy giver |

Someone even said something about mentality, as if fighting back to win with 2 goals after loosing a 2 goal led is mediocre. Leicester keeper and the stat for shots can answer all that. Ya gazie. |

iamoyindamola: Arteta will kill saka Martinelli should start instead I am happy partey no start I am looking out for Nathan Martinelli that played 90 minutes against City, no nau. Saka had a less match minutes, less stress and strain than all our regular starting forward, so it's better him than King Kai or Martinelli |

daveP: This sounds something similar to Finidi George's 😆😆😆😆😆
Why will you say the boldened at all? The Auba you're talking about like this is the last to get golden boots for this club, twice and the last to score above 20. If he wasn't clinical enough, i will agree that even at that he wasn't at full potential then as he should be banging in 30+ then. We can agree on that?
Doesn't that buttress my stance, regardless of how many we keep scoring? What does this team need different from the last two seasons to make any flair, excellence and tenacity of City to Become 2nd or beaten at this long game?
A striker is one of that Mature wingers in prime, not past prime. Consolidation is all i need. Else we will keep doing things that has never been done before (wey dey sweet belle of some fans), but still measure up to 2nd best. I can't emphasize this enough. Winning the golden boat doesn't mean he doesn't waste chances, he waste some and score some. During the times of Auba Winning the boat how many of our attackers comes close to his numbers?. They all focus on feeding him, and when he starts wasting them the team becomes clueless, except an individual masterpiece we will end with nothing. Fans complained about a change in the whole dependency and Teta took note. Now how many times have we ever scored the total numbers we did last season?, none. Not having that kind of striker won't make this team not to go far, shebi City with Haaland no dey play zeros?, abi na every match this heavenly made striker dey score?. If it didn't work today don't mean it doesn't work at all. |

daveP: If is what you used there. And I'm happy you used if.
If is probability. We can continue to use if till Game week 33 and then start wondering why we fall short. The technicality of a natural is way way different from what any of our forwards offer. A Fernando Torres moment was all we needed yesterday to make city cry in pains, but we have no striker. Allll our possession won from city at the left back spot where GM and Co were all ended up useless because GM doesn't have sense and 2ndly because that was the plan all through. We could have done better. Yes goalscoring may not be our problem, but a 9 will make us win games way way earlier and out of nothings and that's why I'll continue to demand for one. The fall out of Auba with MA is not going to make me overlook that.
If the fallout didn't happen and Auba was an integral part of consequent setups and we are still getting several goalscorers, that will be >>>> than now. clinicality doesn't have anything to do with position on the pitch. Even when we had more traditional forward in Nketiah and a more proven striker in Jesus, Odegaard and Trossard were and is better finishers than them. Auba was good but he also misses chances like 2 or 3 and still scores 2 or 1 because the creativity was there. Ozil knew where to place the ball in front of goal when he needs to score than Auba, one is a AM while the other is a S. If we score 3 to 4 goals per match without a pure 9, why would I need one when we can use that resources to chanel in other areas? (This is my main argument). |

BlueRayDick: This is why I don't want to say anything yet to those rival fans dancing macabre dance here and there chatting shiii.
I want them to play their own respective tough games let us see how they will fare .
Under Emery and later stage of Wenger's days we would've lost two or three of those matches up there. Na dat mentality to always win and the attitude they put into it that I find so beautiful. Both coaches you mentioned would have lost the game with the way City came all out from the 46 minute. The fact that the draw felt like a loss to us and win to City shows that the shit from Rodri and Bernado na trash. |

Spy360: When you see a well drilled team it's the manager.
Can we all now accept that Arteta was right about not needing a striker?
Three tough away games and we almost came out with 9points.
Without our best player Odegaard for two of those games.
Arteta deserves his flowers I don't know what other fans might be saying, but you're right. Spurs game, if our forwards were deadly enough, that match would have produced more goals for us. Against City I believe the late introduction of skelly tempered with the backline setting a bit. |

First half against Walker was good for Martinelli, he tried some take ons and always pass the ball. Right from that first half he always track back to defend against savinho when he noticed he was having it so easy with Cala, I can't count one successful dribble by savinho whenever Martinelli marked him, But once he sees Cala otilor. Then second half almost all our chances was directed to him, he will make the run and before he gets to the ball, City don take am. Running that forth and back without touching the ball can be really tiring. When I knew he was really tired was when a ball went off for throwing and he first held his head before holding his waist. These player are not Machines, Mbappe and Vinicius doesn't have it easy with Walker na overworked Martinelli wan come do am effortlessly. At some point it was just fun for Walker cus he knows that after the run with the ball na just a little contact is needed to dispossess Martinelli. |

With all that Rodri talk about us coming to draw last season at etihad I hope we get something today. Odegaard isn't available, creativity and all is limited but that shouldn't mean we can't win games. Teta can play to the strength of those he have available and something can still come out. Nwaneri this, Nwaneri that, I know he will get his moment but certainly not up the xl against City. I don't mind playing that haram footie if our attackers become more aware in the final 3rd, defending and winning through counter or whatever will be a big W regardless of the match stats. Arteta's baba must have told him Odegaard and Saka are machines which made him over confident in our transfer dealings. I wish Martinelli scores today to boast his moral, e be like Arteta tells him the kind of dribble to do, cus how can a player that use to have 5,6 successful take ons suddenly can't a take a player one on one match after match. Defend and score goals at the end point, na wetin dey give Mourinho trophies at Chelshit back then. And I think after City this kind of football will stop regardless of with or without O8. |
