Arsenal currently spending more than we did during Wenger and Emery times being a concern like say the market then and now is still the same. Every club is currently breaking their record signings because of the inflation in the market but somehow we should still be doing the €40+1 bargain. Just like some said, my issue with not just Arteta but everyone involved in contract management of players is allowing these players leave for less or zero fees, aside from that who leaves doesn't really concern me.

He scored the goals with the Under-18s not just Under-16. It is now clear many of you don't even follow your academy but want to make assertions you don't know about. This is not speculation but what some of us followed as it happened.

March 16 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 3 goals against Crystal Palace

March 30 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 4 goals against Fulham

April 6 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 1 goal against West Brom

April 9 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 2 goals against Brighton

April 13 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 5 goals against West Ham

April 20 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 1 goal against Villa

April 27 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 7 against Norwich

May 4 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 1 against Spurs

May 11 Arsenal Under-18 he scored 3 against Chelsea

27 goals in his last 9 Under-18 games of the season.
You sure you understood my comment about goals that made rounds?. And did I argue that he didn't play nor scored goals for u18 at all?. I no get time to rant and vent about spilled milk when I know I have more and better still in the Tin.

May God bless you bro. They wanted a certain amount that Arsenal was not willing to pay. They now made a U-turn to say the move was not financially motivated.

Na wetin dey divide Arsenal fans be this.
the Dubbery argument seems more logical than this chidi matter. If he's given a clear first team chance and end up not impressing enough to earn game time, it is still Arteta that everyone will still blame for it. Good luck to him at man utd, if he turns out to be the next Haaland, fine, we will take our loss and move on.

For someone who was showing promising talent with the u16(where he actually scored all the goals that made round and not with u18 as being speculated by some), he was offered a contract with the u18 with playing time with u21 and also playing time and training sessions with the first team as the season goes on.

"Arsenal are pushing to get Riccardo Calafiori deal done next week as final round of talks has already been scheduled.

Arsenal are confident as Calafiori wants the move, he’s keen on Arsenal project and agreed on contract until June 2029 for €4m net/season".

Just like Ruben, defenders can see it coming, they know it's going to happen, they know how it's going to happen, but they can't stop it. I hope to see it more in EPL next season.

My own two cents is : As una Dey drag Arteta for allowing una favorites academy graduates leave , make una Dey drag Edu the DoF join.

I mean y’all agree Saka needs a deputy and I’ve been seeing a whole lot of names being suggested not Nelson and not academy graduates .

So let’s say Edu grants ur heart desires and signs one of the suggested deputy for Saka and we still have Viera on our books ; where does that leave ur prized academy prospects ?

Abi Arteta will sub Saka off for his newly signed deputy in the 70th minute, then sub that deputy off for Dubbery in the 84th minute ?

In this past season Arsenal had players like Smith-Rowe , Viera , Nelson, Nketiah , Elneny , Cedric etc who didn’t command starting shirt in UCL and EPL matches . It was only normal they get FA and Carabao Cup appearances .

I’m sure if Arteta had fielded an academy graduate line-up and we lost out in those cup matches we will all call for Arteta’s head for taking us back to Wenger’s last days at Arsenal .

I do not have any emotional attachment to any academy graduate. If the coach who trains with the player weekly feels an academy player can do better than a senior player in the team; I will support him 💯 and if he feels otherwise , he has my support .

I won’t support the club with the intention of criticizing every move of the coach when he has not committed seppuku
Baba I tire!!!. Na Arsenal fans we all be, no be Arteta fans, we all want our club to be successful so I don't understand how every action of Arteta should be turned into war, like the negativity and anger can be felt from every single comment made to bring down his image, and it makes me wonder if it's herd mentality or inability to look pass the hate for him. And the indirect attacks on some person's here is funny to me. Anyways what do I know, I'm just a stoner who loves football because it's fun and a game of love.

The bolded is the reason I'm not too sad about Duberry even though I'm disappointed he's moving on. We fit claim say he's ready and good and all from wetin we dey watch from afar but Arteta and the crew fit have different ideas. Or perhaps, they just want a different approach.

Anyhow Sha, Na Nwaneri be the kid I believe they're looking for to promote. The hype and belief around him, even from our players as you rightly said is much.

Anyways, all these ones no matter as long as say we deh win trophies. Na just make we start to win the important trophies naim be the koko
I'm sure more youths will see game time this season and even them knows this. Dubbery thought he's prime enough to break into the first team without going through loan spells, if only he knows the number of loans ESR went out on and Nketiah too. All of them just wan be like Saka who dived in direct forgetting that like Kobi Manoo, Saka was a case of when the "desirable is not available", and then they went on to surprise the whole world and remained "available".

In jurgen klopp's years at Liverpool how many young stars did he successfully integrated into the first team in his first few seasons aside from TAA that made it in 2018?. All of a sudden we should crucify Arteta for dubbery being scared of fighting for his spot. That nigga knew it won't be easy and he backed off without a fight, call it cowardice but it's his personal decision which he thinks is right.
The thing is, if the club management consider youth graduates integration into the first team as this stage, there's no how they will let Arteta breathe well with the way everything is going, but I guess they know what they want, they know we need to have a stable structure first before using these kids. Last season both Liverpool and Man City made use of youths because the structure is already there and can't be shaken. We dey fear to play Nelson and Viera but na dumebe and Nwachukwu we go give minutes. 😂

....And tbh I don't blame him. All the people who were promised this under Arteta haven't been close to the first team. Even Patino that was highly rated in the academy don dey silent after he went out on loan. If it was under Wenger, I'm sure he would have jumped at the opportunity.

Anyways sha, na Arteta and the crew know wetin dem dey see for training cos me I feel he's ready to at least be a deputy and be given minutes in fa cup, Carabao cup and few minutes here and there in any of our comfortable wins.

Nobody for know say Dem Palmer, Yamal, kobbie and all are ready if they didn't give them minutes
Everybody can say the same thing about Arteta when it comes to young stars but then just like you said, we don't train with them. Patino was a good prospect but his loan spells weren't convincing to me personally(everyone have there own opinion). It was under Wenger we let gnabry go, and now he's a beast(tho last season was hard for him), Willock and his brother didn't live up the hype, same as Marcus McGuane, look at nelson after how many years, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and even dasilva. Saliba admitted that going on the second loan to Marseille changed everything about him as a person and player. Sometimes, just sometimes what we think we know is just a mirage of the whole thing. I'm more concerned about Nwaneri at the moment than those that have left. Even martinelli said Ethan is the youth player with the most admiration from everyone so I'm looking to see how his own plays out.
