ppogba: You have made valid, good points but it amazes me how people generalise about private schools helping their students pass Wasc. There are private schools that drill their students like no man's business. And for your information, public schools are not better of in terms of cheating. In every situation, garbage in, garbage out. What are they even teaching the students in public schools these days? Many parents of the kids in public schools can't even afford PTA fees not to talk of buying textbooks for them. Ordinary notebooks is even problem. He should tell us how they would be better than the kids in the private schools who have everything? |

viyon02: Very good, this is the result of runs, especially private schools, check the weac result of these students adminted with this result. You will think they will set some records in the faculty: l even have one student with 5 A1 buy couldn't cope with NCE and she was advice to withdraw in the first semester. What a shame to private schools they really distroy standard of education, and many parents fell for thier scams thinking they are the best, Hello parents, they are in business, they are not after success of your child/children but rather destroy it, dont fall for their good waec result they preach to you, if you really want the best for your child let your child attend public school and then get good private home teachers for each of the five key subjects for the require department. Anyway this is not for everyone just for few parents that are shrew enough to understand. Why the focus and attacks on the private schools only? The last time I checked, private primary and secondary school students are by far and more brilliant than students in the public schools these days where most teachers only collect salaries. At the time of day, the parents of both sides go for mercenaries for their kids external exams. But on getting to the higher institutions, Dundees and empty headed from the public secondary schools will begin dropping off one by one. Ask yourself why most parents are abandoning public primary and secondary schools and opting for the private ones? |

pfadom: What a nation! What a judiciary?
A Nigerian court sentenced a Nigerian man to 175 years in jail for a theft of less than $650,000 (less than N350 million) from an individual (American citizen).
How come a Nigerian judicial officer only found Abdulrasheed Maina deserving of 16 years in principle (but actually 8 years in reality), despite the huge theft running into several billions of Naira from several thousands of Nigerian pensioners many of whom have died waiting for retirement benefits that refused to come.
It is now very clear that judiciary is a major factor in Nigeria's problems. No fairness, No impartiality. A nation where the 4th candidate was declared a sitting governor.
Where a governor elect paid for the sin of the running mate and the distant second was enthroned.
What a nation!!! What a judiciary!!! Can we find just 10 incorruptible and apolitical judges in Nigeria?[ "Less than 350 million naira," I'm shocked! Shocked, not by the sentence but by your comment. I'm even tempted to ask you your family's worth going by your choice of words? Do you realise that he stole that much amount from a single person? And if Maina stole much more and got less sentence compared to this, does that necessarily mean that this one too should have gotten less than what Maina got? What about you saying that Maina should have gotten more than what this dude got? You people should try to apply sense once in a while |

This is not supporting scammers but that judgement is horrendous! Even the American involved must r scandalized with the outcome.. If this guy was tried in an American court, he won't get anything close to this.. You are shallow for even asking a judge if that's what the law says! Do you know how many charges were brought against him, how many he was found guilty of and how many maximum years each charge attract? And if someone could be heartless to steal money from another person to the tune of 315 million naira, such person does not only deserve life sentence but death sentence. Who knows if his victim already dead or in worse condition? |

Treat her with respect as you would treat your own mother or let your hatred for her remain your hatred for her, stop forcing your wife to have issues with her, don’t put her in that position where she has to choose between her ‘mother’ and you, it’s unfair to her. You meant her hatred for him? She should stop disturbing their lives, the girl don marry. She should let her be. Who likes in-laws interfering in her or his marriage? |

Most of these were either imposed on the people or had stepped on some big toes. Either way there is great need for thorough investigation to stem the ugly tide. It has never been this way for Imo before. So much killing, assassinations and bloodshed. Haba. God save us! backbencher: So, why is the governor free
Basically, in order to prosecute a governor, he has to be impeached...and most state houses of assembly don't want to impeach such governors.
Also, governors are masters of getting emergency court injunctions to stop their being prosecuted.
The problem is, most people don't want to see their favourite politican being prosecuted. When EFCC came for James Ibori, hundreds of thousands of people formed a human shield and obstructed EFCC from doing their job. It took the UK to prosecute him.
Nigerians aren't ready to fight corruption. Use it to bring the other side down, yes...actually fight it, no. And you see them wailing about corruption killing them and shouting that government is not doing anything about it. |

Mercychen: The truth is, most times the guy ( groom) is not always that handsome or facially fine. They prolly would have tried to woo the beautiful ones but the pretty girls, being naturally selective would reject them. This is something I can relate with so I know.
These men after rejection, go after the average "looking" girls who on the other hand wouldn't mind as they too face rejection and have very slim chances of getting a man. therefore would jump at anybody that comes to them for marriage.
The thing with beautiful Ladies like us is, we believe the men will keep coming, so no need to rush as the best is yet to come.
I know of about 10 guys who came for me, they all ended up with average looking ladies. This is not to say it's right to live with such attitude or mindset but it is what it is.
So, it's not totally a case of rejection that keeps the beautiful ones from getting married. And you, who did you end up with? I guess you ended up with Loneliness. Lol |
